    Wow! This is great. I have three children and sometimes it gets crazy. I would start at 2000 when their father and I got engaged.

    I am rewatching these videos again, since I am starting up again doing some scrapbooking now that the weather is cold again! You always inspire me Lauren, and I am thankful for you!! I am getting out my timeline tracker right now!

    I'm really getting into the timeline for me, my family, extended family, and my husband and his family! I've created a table for it in Evernote (might put in Google Drive to share) so I can adjust it anytime. I make tables all the time so I'm surprised I don't have a life events table like this already. It's such a great idea - thank you so much for sharing your system!

      Great Idea! I was finding the paper chart too constricting and I too love making tables(!). I also hate writing by hand--give me a keyboard any day.

    I'm re-watching these POP videos as I continue sorting through a "mountain" of photos, to get them organized for scrapbooking. This information on how to get things organized to make progress scrapbooking is invaluable! Thanks so much, Lauren.

    I’m so happy to have found your channel. Like others I began 12x12 pages with CM. I made many albums and returned to work when my kids were older. Working and full sports schedules always left me feeling behind. I was frustrated having partial projects done in CM books and had to pay a lot of money to purchase refills when they went under. I moved to project life albums, which I’m not sure I like as much. Learned last year a they are no longer carrying the physical product. I was beside myself. I honestly feel so many precious photos are in the cloud and those of us staying dedicated to the craft will be glad to have memories we can flip through. I now have a dedicated craft room and it’s much easier than pulling carts and bins out. For those who are pondering; all 3 of my children are in their 20’s. My sons have said these are their favorite gifts. I may not be able to pull as many late nights, but choosing to do what gives joy rather than cleaning is the way to go! Hoping to see trend continue for physical product. I am computered out at the end of my workday! Thanks for this series!

      Love love love ❤️ I think it might be time to return to CM’s 12x12’s! The new CM is solid so you won’t have to worry about what happened in the past! But I was there and I remember! Yes it is time for those photos to get out of the cloud and into our scrapbooks 🙏🏻❤️😄

    I watched this series before and got started with the Planner and the timelines and so on, and then was overwhelmed by the older photos and those I found when cleaning out my mother's house. Never got the organizing by decade, etc. done. I have so many albums already. No longer doing strictly chronological. so trying to get back to the process and get back on track.

    Just started watching you, looking forward to start scrapbooking. Just lost my mum and this has been the motivating factor to get memories documented.

    I stumbled upon your site and am so glad that I did. I have a very OCD organization mind and this very closely mirrored the way I already had myself organized. Thank you so much for the free templates. I am looking forward to getting them printed to start using to make myself even more otganized.

    Photo freedom- one tactic I have used in my kids High School Albums is to group all those sports photos into collages, instead of keeping them tied to the chronology of activities during those 4 years.

    This was very interesting. I had been eagerly waiting and watching for your next video so I could keep moving in this project. I hadn't been sure how to use your timeline tracker. This is such a great idea. I don't make separate albums for my kids (from the beginning I just knew I'd never be able to accomplish that. I was a school teacher full time when our first was born). However, I see value in this timeline tracker even if I don't intend to make them separate albums. I think seeing our live and their lives on paper is really a valuable endeavor. I can't wait to get some pages printed and get started. Thank you!

      Hi Wendy, yes yes! Super valuable in so many ways, even if you do not make albums like I do, fill it all out. It is a fantastic reference 👍🏻

    Thank you for doing this series. I have been trying to figure out a way to wrap my head around so many years of photos and where to start to organize and plan a way to scrapbook all of them. Nice to see you face the camera, I enjoy seeing more than the creators hands. What a good friend Maria is to help you out with the video. Thank you to her also, she really helped me understand the process.

      Charlene I so appreciate your comment! Glad this system might help you have a plan for your photos. I will thank Maria again for you 😉 and I am glad she helped with this process! It’s a little scary getting in front of the camera, but perhaps with more practice I will get better at it 😅

    So pleased that your program is available just when I am trying to reconnect with organised scrapbooking. Your time lines sheets are going to be so helpful as we moved quite a lot until we came to SoCal, after being 4 years in Texas, when we promised the boys we would stay until they were through high school. There are so many addresses school names and sports. I printed mine onto letter size so should help with the space for dates and comments. Looking forward to filling these out hopefully tomorrow. 💕 great job!

    OMGOSH!!!!! I have been messing with my photos for the past five years after I received boxes and boxes of heritage photos from my divorced parents who passed three months apart. I’ve been trying to keep current with my photos at the same time trying to backtrack. It has been overwhelming, but this is going to help me sooooo much. First thing I will do I sort by your tips and them place them in timeline containers. Thank you 𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 you 𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 you!!!!!

    Thank you for coming into my life!! I have been looking for a system to reorganize my craft corner for years. If I dont see it or cant find it, I'm not using up my stash. Your channel came up on the recommended vids listing while I was searching for storage solutions.
    Since I lost my job a month ago in this pandemic, I definitely have the time for this project What hit me was the question "How do I scrapbook"? So that's how I need to organize my supplies. It's ok to break up a collection. (this is a hard one) but I wasn't using them up. I downloaded your trackers and let the organizing begin! Thank you!!

    Your system is just incredibly amazing! It truly "fits" how my visual brain works and I'm so excited to start using your templates to organize, not just scrapbooking (I have had all the supplies for almost 3 years and have only finished 3 pages!), but my fiber and beading crafts as well (knitting, crochet, macrame, weaving...). Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us! (~37:30 It's not "too complicated" at all--it is brilliant!) M

    What would be the difference in a family album and an individual child’s album or I guess what pictures do you include in a family album. Do you just put pictures of everyone together and all the individual pictures of the children and their album? Thank you

    Thanks for this! It’s definitely something I can & need to do & I think will help me get out of the overwhelm. One question though: before the days of Creative Memories l made three or four true old fashioned scrapbook & older photo albums. Should I start over with those & get them in a ”proper” album?

    Lauren - I notice that the timeline doesn't include those Library of Memories type albums as a "type". Is it just because they are not chronological?

  • @maryberklund750
    @maryberklund750 3 роки тому

    When doing your kids books, do you only include pictures of them or of things that are relevant to them or do you also include family? Such as, you my have your family album include your kids and then do you repeat that in their album?

    I guess I’m confused with the difference of a project tracker and a timeline tracker?

    • @CraftSomeJoy
      @CraftSomeJoy  4 роки тому +2

      Timeline is your history and all about you and the major events in your life: births, moves, jobs, etc
      Projects are related to album making... those albums you eventually want to see on your shelves!!
