She is correct if the vehicle was awd you'd most likely need 4 tires. And most likely driving on a donut for a long period could heat up the all-wheel drive system

On modern AWD's the tread wear between all 4 tires has to be within a very narrow range or AWD system damage can occur, something to do with the actual diameter of the individual tires. Can believe that the plaintiff was getting an AWD warning message or light on her vehicle as she was driving. Now if the plaintiff kept driving causing actual damage is a different conversation. Had a friend that needed to replace all of their tires on their SUV and they couldn't get what they wanted because what they wanted was just a wee bit over what the manufacturer spec'd.

And no, a car’s 4WD system doesnt go bad from driving 10 miles on a donut.. if it did, it could never handle off-road driving!!! AND 4WD CAN BE turned off, in cases like that!!!!
