We are a family of 7, our 5th child was born TODAY! We live in a 21' yurt. (350 sqft). We are building out dream home on our farmstead, with logs from the land. We should be braking ground for the foundation within the month. I am a Carpenter-General Contractor by trade and will be building the home myself with my crew and friends. Lord willing it will go smoothly. After living in the yurt for 4 years not, we are ready to have a normal home again. We have loved your Channel for many years and it has brought us so much inspiration and knowledge. We raising out dairy goats, layers, pigs (farrow to finish) and turkey flock following a permaculture principle largely because of your family and Joel Salatin. God bless y'all

Remodel is looking fantastic. I absolutely LOVE those blue kitchen cabinets and I don't even like the color blue!. It looks perfect for your farmhouse!. We put those same shower fixtures in our remodel.. Thank you for sharing..
I have to say that I dont like it at all. The kitchen room looks wierd. The tiles in the main bathroom look out of place with thoese seams. I like the wood floor.
We had 1.5 bathrooms for 12 ppl but I never really knew it to be a problem when I was little. But nowadays whenever I feel like complaining I think of you guys and say thank you for everything I have 🙏
We had 7 people with an indoor shower outdoor dunny. For 5 yrs when I was a kid. 70’s. Mum used to shine the torch for us in the middle of the night so we could go pee at the bottom of the stairs as the dunny was not close to the house. All the while making sure there were no deadly snakes about…Australia 😀
Even when the floor is covered by the time all the subcontractors finish sand will get under the paper. My husband's a contractor,I have seen it a hundred times. schedule the floor to be reclear coated when everyone has finished. It's just the way it is
It's soooo spacious - even vertically! You'll easily fill it with your growing family & tons of relatives & friends - especially on holidays! You're so close to move in day.❤
At the beginning of the video you said tape was hard to get off if it was on for a while. If you use either rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer it makes it not sticky any more!
I love this family! That small house will have a lot of good memories that your children will talk about when they get older! Good times not so good times but most of all FUN times ! I bet they will all say there was a lot of LOVE they had and would not trade those memories and special moments for anything! A treasure that nobody can take the place and nobody can take away! I havent watched you in a long time, no internet and homeless a few times since covid hit. the last few i watched was just after the bus trip finished. the kids are so big now theyve always been good helpers but now wow look at them go. during covid i got stuck in a melbourne australia lost myself and ended up in the rat race and homeless. unfortunetly the person i dreamnt of doing it with is the one that made me homeless so its been a rough 5 years on top of loosing my mom dec 26 2019. watching you guys today reminded me of what i really want. love you guys.
Oh, I don’t know about that urinal in the boys bathroom. I have cleaned schools and the boys bathroom urinals are always, always stinky, no matter how good of a job I did cleaning it. Hopefully that wouldn’t be an issue with your urinal.

my husband grew up in a 2 rooms up and 2 down house with no bathroom or running hot wateror fridge and just an outside toilet with 7 adults over 17 years old till he was 5 years old and moved into a 4 bedroom house with an inside bathroom and 2 toilets in 1955

My father grew up in a bathroomless shack similar to your father. His home became the chicken's shack. I snickered whenever he told me he grew up in the chicken shack.
Why don’t the trades use those plastic over shoes. Just like plastic covers for their shoes. Or make them take their shoes off policy. That’s what we do during finishing new properties. Sure would save all that cardboard and tape. 👍❤️👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
A person can get by in a really small house with a large family BUT if you don’t have to then ENJOY the elbow room and modern conveniences that will really run the farm better
Half my older two children's life was spent living in a remodeling project. The space was finally done and perfect for 4 then our "oops" baby came (older two were preteen/teen of opposite gender so no room sharing). The little was a holy terror, his Brother adored him and was willing to share space but I wasn't that cruel 😁

I would not do a urinal in my house, no matter if I had one boy or 20. It is a home not a comercial place!
Urinals are also a source of trouble in terms of plumbing maintenance. The sewer lines don’t like concentrated urine.

The product would be very badly designed if it caused that problem.
Paint colors are sweet! Is the baseboard throughout a grey color or taupe color? Can’t quite tell from the lighting, but love it!!

We just redid our bathroom….same tile, but ours has rich blue veins running through with the gray and white!!!
