  • Today we leave the van to get and inside look at some of the most stunning sites in all of Bosnia and the sites you can see near the capitol city of Sarajevo. Curt's buddy Tim has designed a special tour of the nature specifically with Snow's heart condition in mind. Tim has lived in Bosnia for thirty years, wrote the Brandt travel guide to Bosnia & Herzegovina and is commonly know as the Bosnia Guy. This day was such an amazing gift. Thank you Tim! We hope everyone enjoys.
    Cheers
    Snow and Curt

I know this will sound crazy but back when they were at war, whenever I heard the word 'Sarajevo' I used to feel like I had been there before. I felt like I wanted to go back, like it was home. I've never been there. Now that I see it, I do love it. Maybe it was my home. Who knows. Thank you.

There are very few True blue flowers in the world. The beautiful Star-shaped flowers you found on your pre-lunch hike are the rare Bosnian Gentian. What an incredible find 😍😍😍😍😍.

A village perched high above the treeline is picturesque, but what a hard life those people have! Tim's historical background info is so illuminating ... just proves that religion is not immutable. It changes to accommodate peoples' needs at the time, that's what keeps it healthy and alive. Wonderful, thanks for taking us along.

Wow the views are absolutely stunning. I remember watching the 1984 Olympics and seeing the village of Sarajevo and thinking what a beautiful winter wonderland it was. It was so sad when the war there broke out and so many died. I'm glad peace has returned to the region. Tim and his friend are encyclopedia's of knowledge and so nice. The ancient stones reminded me of Stonehenge in England.

What a beautiful trip for Snow. I followed the Bosnia war in the 90s. I had several good friends that I met when I was there who became very good friends. One of the families came to America during that time and stayed in Arizona, where I lived at the time. They still live, and I moved to NM. I sent the link to them. What a wonderful friend you have. This was so special to me today. Be blessed in all your travels ahead.

The views are absolutely stunning, sometimes I have to look away because I'm afraid of heights, or at least I used to be , even though it's on a video. After going up a bald volcano (no vegetation, no guard rails ) in the Canary Islands, I could probably do almost anything now.

👍🤩💝 💡Also…..@ 14:52 “largest *karst* field in the world”
💡Karst is a topography formed from the dissolution of soluble carbonate rocks such as limestone, dolomite, and gypsum. It is characterized by features like poljes (a polje, the word is devired from the Slavic language, is also called karst polje or karst field) above and drainage systems with sinkholes and caves underground.
The word polje literally means 'field', whereas in English polje specifically refers to a karst plain or karst field.
    @ 18:21 / 18:26 Koliba means shepherd's hut, cabin, cottage, hut
