I dont know if anything has changed with hk but i have a pinokio speed and the lid is pretty tight and way more springy than shown in this video. Also the shell feels durable. Super good battery life too
Ive definitely had the nose of the hopper pop off on me after i got shot right on that button in the front. As a result of that it also jammed and broke paintballs inside.
I like how you went into the plastics and internals. That’s awesome. But most importantly when will you release The PBRML Facebook? I have 6 solid memes that I’m ready to cash in on.
Ik this is a older vid but the pinokio has the exact same internals as the 18v Spyder fasta but with out the game timer screen, same bend sender, motor and agitator
It's not about sight picture as it is general field awareness. Being able to see more is always better than not. 1/4" increased vision in front of your face is 10 feet downfield. I'll take it.
@@brokeassballer1035 no one would argue that a low rise setup handles/balances better in the hands than a high rise. With that said, moving your loader up and out of the way is a compromise, when having a loader with a slimmer profile on a low rise is not.
Once you get past the odd bubbly look I think it's a great hopper. Its never failed me I will continue to use it for a while. I just wish you could make a speed feed look a little better on it. Imo the speed feed looks almost out of place
the old one pre HK is made for wayyyy better plastic its totally different material but heaver & the padels that spin the balls are 2 part design with softer rubber on the outside stiffer plastic in in side
My first experience with a Pinocchio was like 3 years ago, this kind of old school dude was using it with the goofy nose on it and a hot pink Dangerous Power G5, totally mopped the floor with me every time we gun battled, it's pretty memorable to be so thoroughly embarrassed by such a goofy set up lmao
BarnyTrubble One of my friends, a pretty big guy, uses one with the nose and his main tactic is to get to a decent position, and stand straight up shooting everyone he sees with a steady flow of ramping. Works surprisingly well most of the time. I like the pinokio but don’t use the nose, it literally hasn’t jammed once in 5 years and I like the extra capacity of 250
Love the videos! You did a #pbqt video a while back in which you talked about adjusting the output pressure on an empire tank regulator by...flipping a disc over? ...maybe? Anyway, I can't find that specific video again and was hoping you could tell me how you did that! Thanks!
I probably didn't go into much detail. Sometimes if you flip over one disk and it will make the tank low pressure, some times it is two though, or sometimes you can remove a disk and then it will be low pressure. The Empire regulators are not designed to be adjustable, so every regulator can be a bit different. The only real way to make an Empire reg low pressure is by testing all the different configurations. You would need a scuba tank and a pressure tester.
Struggling to decide between this and dye ltr, my main concern about Pinokio Speed is the huuge front profile. I mean if I an enemy was peering out of cover with this hopper I would aim straight for it. Can anyone who uses this hopper share their experience just how many hits they got on the hopper alone? By the silhouette drawings it ain't smaller by any bit than the ltr.
What ever happened to pbqt? and if you plan on doing another, do you think pro paintball will ever go indoors? It would be great for getting some good camera angles and make watching the game a lot easier for some people who struggle to understand what's going on.
I've had the original Pinokio speed for a while and other than the crap I get from other people I really like like it. My only knocks would be the fact it can't be broken down without a screwdriver and that it takes two 9v batteries (pricey).
Two things I didn't see: Looks small, how many paintballs does it hold? Also, I saw on the back it takes up 4 batteries? All the other competing hoppers take 3. So if potentially smaller paint capacity plus more batteries required PLUS a phillips head screwdriver (seriously? not even a hex key head?) required to take apart and clean internals, even with the $20 lower price point I'd still suggest that buyers just spend the extra $20 and get the Spire IR
The Speed is smaller, lighter, and much faster than the ir. So for general use the IR makes more sense, but at a field that allows uncapped semi the Speed is better
Holds 200 and takes 2 9v. I suggest the Spire IR too. Only real problem is that a Spire IR with speed feed is near $150, the Speed with speed feed can be under $100. I think its worth the extra $50 personally.
MistakenMedia087 I absolutely agree. I do have a Z2 as well so that’s why I was interested to know opinions. I think for $70 dollars or less for the stock Z2 BRAND NEW it’s an insane value! I have also seen LVL 1.5s for sale in BST areas for around $80 brand new which I think is even harder to beat given the speed feed included along with the rain lid.
pinokio has never ever jammed on me in like the 7 years i have had it and yes bringing 400 paintballs in your hopper at North vs South is necessary. 1000 v 1000 :-)
The pinokio speed is by far one of the best hoppers on the market. I have seen people absolutely abuse this thing and still turn out on top. Hell, you could literally put paintball size rocks in it and without a doubt it would feed them through. If anything I find the pinokio speed to be more robust and harder to break then the other competitors. I hate when people undermine this hopper because it doesn’t cost as much as a spire 3 or dye r2.
@@PaintballRuinedMyLife Haha I think we all mixed them up a little bit lol. I use a vmax2 as a backup but the wheel sometimes misses shots, especially if you run the hopper dry. I prefer the eyes and was thinking about buying one. Vmax+ is very underrated. Fast, durable, super easy disassembly and very simple design

I just bought my tippman 98 because of your videos. it's in the mail rn. thanks for the inspiration!!
Maybe we finally have a decent Revvy replacement.
Just bought that Caution headband! Thing looks awesome!
You didn’t talk about the increased field of view when looking down the marker that’s one deciding factor to note.
I'm not sure it's a thing. When I'm shooting I look in-between the loader and the gun, so right at the feedneck not at the back of the loader.
It's not about sight picture as it is general field awareness. Being able to see more is always better than not. 1/4" increased vision in front of your face is 10 feet downfield. I'll take it.

I agree, it’s weird and takes too many batteries but I love it, never jammed once in 5 years
But you when snap you wanna roll your hopper in then your just bend at your mid section so your hopper weight won’t effect your snapping
What's the warranty on the hk army speed
can you do a video on how to take it apart and put it back together
I probably won't be, I think if you find the video HK made they took one apart.

Polystyrene melts in acetone. Can you test that?
It's also very susceptible to plasticizing with certain oils. That will be something to watch for after prolonged use with cheap oily paint.
I had the speed back when it was just from pinokio thing would always jam up on me balls would stack up on one fin and jam
