I lived in a basement apartment for 11 years and every time something would break down or we would have Plumbing problems, the landlord would say "They'll be there mid-week between 10 am and 1 pm." My husband and I worked days throughout the week. So, one of us would always have to take time off work to be there when the person showed up. Thank God we've moved from that place since then, but SERIOUSLY. I couldn't imagine being in your shoes and having people just knock and walk in. That's gross.

It was a single family house that was turned into apartments against code so the inspectors were there after it became aware of the change. Now they have to get rid of the tenants.
Maybe it was a single family home that they're renting rooms in and calling apartments instead of rooms? It doesn't look like a very large building, I wouldn't be shocked if they threw up some partition walls in shared spaces and called them hallways, have shared bathrooms, etc.

I had a landlord cut the lock I put on the fence when my bike was stolen off the back porch. These same landlords came into my room while I was sleeping to "ask me a question." This happened around the end of the month, I gave notice within days and was gone by the end of the following month. It was difficult, I was paying $450 a month for a 4 bedroom house with a fenced in backyard because it was also pet friendly. Still wasn't worth the strange things they did.

- she just stands there letting all this happing to her and she doesn´t even react
- as the Judge told her, the plaintiff and the other tenant are supposed to get 20,000 total because they´re asked to relocate and she´s just fine. Spent whatever you have to in a lawyer to figure that out.

It was a single family house that was turned into apartments against code so the inspectors were there after it became aware of the change. Now they have to get rid of the tenants.
Maybe it was a single family home that they're renting rooms in and calling apartments instead of rooms?
It doesn't look like a very large building, I wouldn't be shocked if they threw up some partition walls in shared spaces and called them hallways, have shared bathrooms, etc.

The inspector should know their are rules for entry in a rental situation. He can't insist if it causes someone else to break the law for entry notice, The landlord should have said I need to give my tenant notice.

I had a landlord cut the lock I put on the fence when my bike was stolen off the back porch. These same landlords came into my room while I was sleeping to "ask me a question." This happened around the end of the month, I gave notice within days and was gone by the end of the following month. It was difficult, I was paying $450 a month for a 4 bedroom house with a fenced in backyard because it was also pet friendly. Still wasn't worth the strange things they did.
