Film Brain discovers the heat isn't on in this tepid third instalment of the franchise. Season 1, Episode 7.
#BeverlyHillsCop #BeverlyHillsCop3 #EddieMurphy #JohnLandis
You must be wondering: hang on, wasn't this on UA-cam before? It was, but again this is a new version of the episode because there was some things in the old one I felt had to be addressed: literally, because there's *NEW* footage if you watch carefully... Besides that, Paramount claimed the old version, so I've also cut down the film clips and tried to alleviate the interlacing issue the review had (because the project file was set at 30, and rendered at 25) by cutting frames that show the next shot, making for a smoother viewing experience. All told, 1m 44s shorter than the original version - enjoy!
appreciated :)
So, it's 'BMB: Beverly Hills Cop 3, The Version You Haven't Seen'? Awesome!
Out of curiosity, how does this go? They mention which parts of your review they had problems with? or it happens automatically via bots if your review has too much stuff from their movie? Also, how can they even do this? I thought movie reviews are covered under fair use and you could just tell them to keep that in mind.
You should challenge the DMCA claim. You will win.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the password. I love any tricks you can offer me
Dang , even eddie stated the movie was awful.
So weird seeing you 8 years ago contrasted with now and how you've managed to keep consistently high quality in your videos. This one in particular I remember watching while writing college papers.
I'm old enough to have seen this in the theater and no one in my theater laughed, not even once. Of the three, it's also the only one I've never seen replayed on television, almost as though they've tried to hide it. You managed to wring a few laughs out of this mess of a movie for me for the very first time. Thank you.
One of my friends said, "I saw that" -- hinting at straight B.S. Director John Landis with a GREAT SCRIPT works wonders
And it seems Eddie has got his wish as they're making a 4th Beverly Hills Cop on Netflix as the recent trailer popped up.
I think the issue was that Eddie had too much creative control and wanted Axel to "grow up" which leads to many of the problems.
Ouch
I really don't understand what made him think growing up Axel was a good idea
@@wjzav1971 and fans are tired of Axel Foley
@@lexkanyima2195nope lol
If a Shaft remake sequel can happen and Bad Boys 3 then Beverely Hills Cop 4 can happen.
Well, one of those has happened.
@@virginiadare1587 two of those have happened
There was the new shaft movie with Samuel l Jackson and Richard Roundtree
And bad boys for life
And I realize this is from the future, but March 2021 remembers that bad boys for Life came out before covid 2020, so January ish. Your comment is 10 months old, so even then, it happened
Eddy Murphy really has become hit and miss lately. Dolemite is my Name was great but Coming 2 America really wasn't.
@@wjzav1971 damn.
We're getting Axel F this summer!
2:27 Fast-forward to the present-day where Hollywood has been making sequels to movie franchises that are well-over 20 years old; 7 years is nothing compared to now...but then again standards are also far lower.
10:09 I feel like this scene is meant to be a poke at Disney.
I always viewed Beverly Hills Cop as a satire of those kinds of cop movies, it never really tried to take itself seriously, even in the second one with his friend getting shot, the whole movie itself was still not so serious, and what lost me on the 3rd movie was it tried way to hard to be dark and serious when the whole series of movies is not like that.
RIP John Saxon.
I saw part 3 for free on pay per view in 8th grade and even 14 year old Ace Ventura obsessed me thought this was awful.
i'm 23 years old and i'd never seen beverly hills cop for some reason so yesterday i sat down (slow day at work) and watched 1 then 2 i thought yeah brilliant then i watched 3 and i stopped after half hour and just watched this instead
They never said how Axel figured out Fullbright was in on it. I just assume, and this is my opinion only, that Axel assumed Fullbright was in on it for how long the investigation was taking. Basically stalling and holding the Feds of DeWald while he did his thing. Axel figured he would stay to Fullbright "I figured out someone else in on it" and if Fullbright tried to kill him, then he was right. That is my theory anyway. If not, just another major movie plot hole haha
My biggest beef is, Uncle Dave had life threatening injuries and is much older than the other 3, yet he looks in better shape at the end of the movie haha. GO figure.
Landis did have a burn out in the 90s. And his reputation was permanently soiled with blues Brothers 2000 in 1998.
RIP, John Saxon!
Haha I loved the cut in xD you should do that if you have more thoughts in the future for old reviews! classics!
It's interesting that Eddie Murphy and John Travolta have had the same career pattern of big highs, crappy lows, and huge comebacks. Although John seems to be in better shape than Eddie.
What was the huge comeback for Eddie?
T the Nutty Professor
Yeah, but it was a long time ago.I thought you were talking about recent comebacks.
Not a terribly insightful comparison. The Nutty Professor was a lifetime ago and hardly merits that of a comeback. In terms of Travolta he rode the comeback train in the mid to late 90s but has since gone back into the straight to DVD toilet.
Aaron Birtig Eddies back
Now I know why I avoided this during its theatrical release.
I have to say that line from the future 'I know I have less hair' tickled me. I don't know why, but it was just funny.
Reminds me of that _Seinfeld_ episode where George has that old picture of him and everyone notes that he's lost a of hair since.
Beverly Hills Cop 4 is finally out and it makes fun of this movie with Joseph Gordon Levitt saying it wasn’t Axel’s finest hour
As a child I remember seeing this on HBO. I really liked it back then but when I watched it years later I only laughed because of how bad it was.
I really liked the first one and the other two mentioned in this vid. It's wild how an actor can change so much over time.
Axel Foley A POLICE OFFICER witnessed Ellis Dewalt shoot his boss. Shouldn't that be all he needs to arrest him?
Pretty sure the testimony of a police officer is considered valid by a prosecution.
Everyone in this is incompetent
Jesus Christ, Eddie Murphy! The man used to be one of the funniest men alive. The man who practically saved SNL from cancellation. Now, he's a wash up who relies too much on past jokes. I'm hoping for a comeback but I don't think that's coming anytime soon.
Sometimes an artist's talent ages like a fine wine, while others age like a carton of milk.
At least he found his mojo again with dolomite is my name.
Murphy had issues with Landis because of his involvement in the deaths of 2 children and a man on the Twilight Zone movie set. The Audacity.
To clarify things further, Murphy didn't like the fact that not only did Landis not show remorse for his role in the Twilight Zone movie accident, but Landis was openly hostile towards Murphy for not testifying in his defense during the trial. This was after Murphy bent over backwards to convince Paramount to hire Landis for Coming to America.
Vic Morrow...
Filmed at Paramount's Great America. Yes they owned the park.
22:18-22:20.; Almost reminiscent of Brigitte Nielsen saying "Good-bye, Mr. Foley..." near the end of 'Beverly Hills Cop 2'.
Ellis's actor would go on to be in Candyman: Farewell to the flesh.
Was not expecting to see future Film Brain.
Eddie Murphy made up for playing notty professor to save hes career
21:21 I just saw Judge Reinhardt get tea bagged by a large teddy bear holding a plush heart, after getting shot by an (apparently) dead guy.
It's a wierd day, but I'm not complaining
He can't be based on Walt Disney he actually shook Eddie Murphy's hand. Everybody knows Disney would have never done anything like that. Let's just say Walt Disney was a child of his time.
Mr Wonder is played by Alan Young. Aka Scrooge McDuck.
20:22-20:25.; I called "Bull-shit!" on that scene when I first saw this movie, too.
I was in 3rd grade when I first saw this movie & even then, I thought this movie was horrible.
That joke at 12:30 It’s Uncle Dave who couldn’t be more Walt Disney unless he was cryogenically frozen 😂😂
So THAT'S where the writers of ICarly got the idea for the frozen head of Charles Dingo. (For context. The episode was about the crew going to Hollywood because a company called Dingo Studios was ripping off their webshow. And I just now realized the name MAY have been derived from mock buster company Dingo Pictures)
I wonder how many people know that cryogenically frozen thing is a myth and that the reality is, ironically, he was cremated.
Now I understand what happened to Landis's career. I'd forgotten he made this excrement. I saw this in 1994. The only thing I remember was the bizarre ending. All the lead characters get shot and instead of getting help, they sit around bleeding out and they're just yucking it up, laughing and busting each other's balls. It was the darkest and weirdest mix of tones I've ever seen.
It felt so confusing in any scene, it was too less edgy
Ah, one of my FAVORITE BMB reviews, mainly because you point out perfectly how AWFUL this movie is. Can you upload Parting Shots, Bear, Cavern and Gone Fishin'?
Gone Fishin' is an awesome movie!
Also, he already uploaded Parting Shots and Gone Fishin' onto UA-cam, and you can get the other 2 reviews you mentioned on Daily motion.
I know he's got those up now (Thanks, Mat!) And hopefully he might have Bear and Cavern up around Halloween. The Bear review was particularly funny because he gave names like Bland, Slut, Whiny and Prick to the characters (and they were), and as for Cavern, maybe a bright light filter may be in order.
@@ExplorerDS6789 Agreed.
I just never got it --- Ellis DeWald got to Axel?? Not Victor Maitland, Not Dent and his guys -- But this bland cat DeWald?? Just amazing to me when I first saw it. No wonder Eddie wants to do one more .. and make it R, lol.
Funnily enough, everyone thinks this entry is PG-13, but it's still an R despite being toned down - namely for violence and f-words. I suppose we should be thankful the TV spin-off died on it's arse, though.
I mean he dis kill Inspector Todd, those other villains were never in the same vicinity
I'm sorry to say this, but I doubt that _Beverly Hills Cop IV_ will ever see the light of day, it has been in development hell for more than ten years, it had gone through several scripts by different writers, many of which Murphy weren't happy with, Brett Ratner was supposed to direct, but now it has the directors of a Belgian drama film onboard. They had attempted to make a TV series in 2013 but did not get picked up. And Murphy is now in his mid-50s. The best time to have made should have been in the 2000s. So I don't think the fourth film will be made. Sorry.
I hope it gets made depends on the success of Bad Boys for Life.
@@angusng816 well bad boys for life did really well so beverlys hills cop iv could happen.
:) We are getting Beverly Hills Cop 4 next month on Netflix.
Eddie’s making a 4th one for Netflix axel foley
Going down like cement shoes would be going down well.
Not for the person in the shoes.
I have a problem with what I see as the fetishization of guns in America; the guys who've likely never served in the military or been police who put all the junk like laser sights, lights, rails, and any other hodgepodge on their guns. But I can't even front, if a gun had a good microwave oven on it, and I could get a hot pizza wheel during deer season, I'd buy it!
Best thing about this film is its soundtrack and a few scenes other than it's a misfire
It's a piece of shit. It just makes me want to watch either of the first two flicks. Not having Harold Faltermeyer do the iconic score is the greatest sin of all
24:14: I really don't think that its fair to blame Steven E. de Suza and his script for a lion's share of the problems with "Beverly Hills Cop III" because what he had originally written wasn't in the finished product. And if you don't believe me, I would advise you to check out an interview that Steven E. de Zuza did here on UA-cam entitled "UNFINISHED BUSINESS INTERVIEW - Steven E. de Souza 2 (Street Fighter, Beverly Hills Cop III, & more)" from the channel UnfinishedB1.
Like I said, the original draft that de Zuza wrote from July 1992 was absolutely different than the on that was in the final product. This particular draft actually had John Ashton's Taggert in it and it would've focused on Axel Foley taking his niece to the WonderWorld theme park. The climax would've had Axel in an old south setting at WonderWorld, where all of these clichés and racist tropes would've been blown up. Also, Orrin Sanderson, the John Saxon character, would've been the main villain in de Suza's original draft.
Keep in mind that according to de Zuza, Eddie Murphy himself, loved his original draft, which was going to be a whole mockery on the Disney culture. The Uncle Dave character was originally intended to go to Dick Van Dyke, who rejected it because how found the idea of playing a pastiche of Walt Disney, who knew and worked with in real life, to be disrespectful and insulting.
It should be noted this is a very, very old review from 2009, so this pre-dates that.
Very interesting. It's similar to de Souza disputing the 'commando 2 became Die hard' theory in recent years when he said his draft was more like 'Escape Plan'. I do feel writing credits are always a bit of a question mark as often many people work on the script and actors/producers throw in ideas and sometime you can't do things due to budget or availability [like Taggert not being in the final film]. One of the best examples is 'Last Action Hero' where all the credited writers were replaced as the production went on [including Shane Black] and weren't particularly positive on the end result.
It's well known that Stallone did a re-write of Beverly Hills Cop when he was going to do it but it's often said he used the script wholesale for Cobra when it appears it was mostly separate [especially given Cobra's takes inspiration from Dirty Harry]-Stallone said his 'cop' ending was him playing chicken in his car with a train!
Time Traveling Film Brain is a mindfuck
I like how you can always tell a John Landis movie based on the font in the credits
And, poor innocent matthew, not understanding that a shooting at an amusement park would just be normal everyday America, well, before covid.
When are you going to do totally new reviews?
I watched this movie super high one night on tv and it was such a trip since it’s so badly done it made me so confused but I thought it was funny in a trippy way. Like it’s so dumb but that’s funny
A friend of mine who loved the series and action-comedies like Deadly Weapon or Die Hard in general took me to this, and I still dunno what he ever saw in the franchise.
You mean Lethal Weapon.
2:43 - I know they had a pretty terrible working relationship on Coming to America, but I never read anything about their relationship on this film aside from the quotes at the end and reports that Murphy was really checked out and low-spirited on set.
When 'Nutty Professor' was announced it was reported that Murphy was keen for Landis to direct it so they presumably got on okay on this movie.
12:50-12:53.; Where was the music cue from, again?....
23:14 Considering how bad this film is. I consider it fitting the fox they revealed reminds me of Titus the Fox. AKA the mascot for the company who became infamous for Superman 64 (Though I've heard it may have suffered because of Warner Bros) And the Robocop game on the Xbox (Which was covered in the inaugural episode of Rerez's Just Bad Games series)
Wait, aren't those Cylons??? How did they get them for the movie?
Matthew u do know that blues brothers is simply just like Beverly Hills cop.
Judge Reinhold... And I thought your dignity died in beethoven's 3rd.

At least it's not the PS2 game.
Ugh!
I thought this movie had some good laughs. But the first two were better Netflix is going to make the fourth one.
It's been confirmed that Beverly Hills Cop 4 will begin production once Coming to America 2 is done.
24:03-24:09.; What did you say about John Landis?...
Well Flint shot the goon in the ferris wheel.
so you filmed this years ago?
Even stop or my mom will shot is better than Beverly hills cop 3
I've heard that they're making a4th one after all those years .. let's hope it'll be better than 3
shouldn't the mechanics be dancing to Uptown Girl?
Law Abiding Citizen... really enjoy your content bro
Thankfully the new film was much better than this [even if the plot was very reminiscent of the original film]. I did appreciate them making a joke at 94 not being his best moment!
FYI: Flint was played by Hector ELIZONDO, NOT Hector ALONZO
I pronounce his name correctly in the New Year's Eve review many years later.
24:21-24:30.; What movie is this, again?...
The TV movie K-9000, which was a pilot for a series that wasn't picked up.
@@FilmBrain Still better than Poochinski.

If it's just me, this movie seems most likely to be aired on television despite being the worst of the trilogy.
Guess what? A fourth movie is about to happen after Coming to America 2
If it is, it is only over 10 years after this was first posted...
Good point...but I hope it'll be better than the 3rd one, which I find it as a guilty pleasure.
And there's rumors say that Brett Rather, known for the Rush Hour movies, is gonna direct it
I think those rumours might be from around the time of Tower Heist. I don't think Ratner will be directing much these days, given the allegations about him.
Ohhh right...I forgot about that
Oh, btw, you planning to do a review on Tower Heist? or you already done it?
The first two movies are great with Beverly Hills Cop 2 being my favorite of the franchise and my favorite Eddie Murphy movie
This third movie is absolute garbage though and I haven’t seen the fourth one yet which I’ve heard is much better
2:44-2:50.; What happened with Eddie Murphy?...
I believe at one time Murphy said he was as likely to work with Landis again as Vic Morrow, who was infamously killed in the filming of Landis' segment on Twilight Zone: The Movie.
lebeauleblog.com/2015/09/25/franchise-killers-beverly-hills-cop-iii/
It’s easy to forget this now, but once upon a time Eddie Murphy was the coolest and funniest guy on the planet. In the early 80’s, his movie career got off to a fantastic start with 48 Hours and Trading Places, But it was 1984’s Beverly Hills Cop that officially made Murphy a major movie star. Three years later, Murphy reprised his role as Axel Foley in an action-packed sequel. Beverly Hills Cop II wasn’t nearly as good as the first movie, but as 80’s action movies went, it was better than most. Then Murphy decided he wanted to do other things for a while. By the time he got around to Beverly Hills Cop III, ten years had passed since the first movie and no one cared anymore. Especially Murphy.
In 1988, Murphy was still one of the biggest movie stars in the world. But he was getting tired of doing the same schtick in every movie and wanted to branch out. His solution was star in a romantic comedy. Coming to America allowed Murphy to play multiple characters and to showcase his trademark humor, but it also allowed the actor to show his sensitive side. For the first time, Murphy wasn’t just playing a charismatic motor-mouth. He was a romantic leading man. The comedy managed to appeal to Murphy’s core fan base while reaching out to a broader audience.
Coming to America was directed by John Landis who had directed Murphy in his earlier hit, Trading Places. According to Landis, Murphy changed between making the two movies:
The guy on Trading Places was young and full of energy and curious and funny and fresh and great. The guy on Coming to America was the pig of the world - the most unpleasant, arrogant, *beep* entourage… just an *beep* We clashed quite a bit because he was such a pig; he was so rude to people. I was like, ‘Jesus Christ, Eddie! Who are you?’ We had a good working relationship, but our personal relationship changed because he just felt that he was a superstar and that everyone had to kiss his ass. He was a jerk.
The feeling was mutual. The way Murphy tells the story, Paramount wasn’t interested in hiring Landis after all the bad press he got for Twilight Zone: The Movie. For those who don’t know, Landis directed a segment in the movie which was set in Vietnam. In a tragic accident involving a helicopter, actor Vic Morrow and two child actors were killed. Making matters worse, the scene was being shot late at night when the child actors weren’t legally allowed to be working. Landis and several others involved in the production were charged with manslaughter. After a nine-month trial, they were ultimately acquitted.
Murphy said he felt bad for Landis whom he had befriended while making Trading Places, so he went to bat for his friend. According to Murphy, Landis immediately started demanding more money and Murphy insisted Paramount pay up. But Murphy claims Landis was not at all grateful for the favor. He says Landis got on the set of Coming to America and started throwing his weight around. Murphy said Landis was upset that Murphy never showed up to support him during his nine-month ordeal in court. Eventually, things got heated.
One day, Murphy had some writers on the set working on a script for a TV show his company was producing. When Landis saw the writers, Murphy says the director made a scene. Murphy recounted the incident in a Playboy interview:
I playfully grabbed him around the throat, put my arm around him and I said to Fruity, one of my guys, ‘What happens when people put my business in the street?’ And Fruity said, ‘they get *beep* up.’ I was kind of half-joking. Landis reached down to grab my balls, like he also thought it was a joke-and I cut his wind off. He fell down, his face turned red, his eyes watered up like a bitch and he ran off the set. *beep* punk.
He came to my trailer later and made this big speech. His voice was trembling. And it all came out: that he didn’t think I was talented, that the only reason he did Coming to America was for money, that he didn’t respect me since I hadn’t gone to his trial and all this *beep* All this *beep* *beep* Called me ignorant, an *beep*
I’m sitting there shattered; I’m thinking, This *beep* guy. I bent over f*ucking backward to get this guy a job. He probably won’t even acknowledge what happened. He didn’t realize that his *beep* career was washed up. So I told him, ‘The next time you *beep* around with me, I’m gonna whip your ass.’
Later on, when asked about the possibility of working with Landis again, Murphy said that Landis had a better chance of working with the late Vic Morrow than of ever working with him again. Harsh. But oddly, it was Murphy who reached out to Landis to make Beverly Hills Cop III.
By that point, the third Beverly Hills Cop movie had been stuck in development limbo for years. Early scripts had Murphy solving a crime in London. At various points, both Sean Connery and John Cleese were considered to costar. Judge Reinhold, John Ashton and Ronny Cox were all supposed to return for the third movie. But as production on the sequel got delayed over budget concerns, Ashton and Cox had to move on due to other commitments.
Eventually, the London concept was scrapped because the storyline was deemed to be to close to the plot of the Michael Douglas movie, Black Rain. So Die Hard and Commando screen-writer, Steven E. de Souza, was hired to write a new script. What he came up with was essentially Die Hard in a theme park. The budget for de Souza’s script was estimated at $70 million dollars. But Paramount got cold feet after Murphy’s latest movie, The Distinguished Gentleman, disappointed at the box office. They demanded the budget be dropped to $55 million. Murphy was getting paid $15 million, so that only left $40 million for the rest of the movie. As a result, action scenes were cut and replaced with scenes of Murphy conducting an investigation.
Landis said the movie “was a very strange experience. The script was not any good, but I figured, ‘So what? I will make it funny with Eddie.’ I mean, one of the worst scripts I ever read was [the original] Beverly Hills Cop. It was a piece of *beep* that script. But the movie is very funny because Eddie Murphy and Martin Brest made it funny. And with Bronson Pinchot…that was all improvised. Everything funny in that movie is not in the screenplay, so I thought, ‘Well, we will do that.’ But then I discovered on the first day when I started giving Eddie some shtick, he said, ‘You know, John…Axel Foley is an adult now. He is not a wise ass anymore.’ I believe he was very jealous of Denzel Washington and Wesley Snipes doing these straight roles. So, with Beverly Hills Cop III, I had this strange experience where he was very professional, but he just was not funny. I would try to put him in funny situations, and he would find a way to step around them. It is an odd movie. There are things in it I like, but it is an odd movie.”
Co-star Bronson Pinchot corroborated Landis’ assessment of Murphy’s mood while making Beverly Hills Cop III:
Eddie was going through his period at the time of doing movies that were not hits, and he was very low-spirited, low-energy. I said to him, ‘All anyone ever wants to know when they meet me is what you’re like.’ And he said, ‘I bet they don’t ask that anymore.’ And then when we did a scene, we were shooting, and he was so low-energy that John Landis sent him upstairs and said, ‘Just rest, Eddie, and I’ll do the scene with Bronson.’ So whenever you see my face in the movie, I’m not really talking to Eddie, I’m talking to John Landis.
Murphy is an undeniable talent. When he is on his game, he lights up the screen. But when he’s bored with a movie, it’s really obvious. That was one of the reasons for his career slump at the time. He very visibly was bored with his own movies. Audiences who showed up expecting to see the Eddie Murphy of old were instead disappointed by an Axel Foley who was going through the motions.
At the time Beverly Hills Cop III was released, Murphy said it was “infinitely better than Beverly Hills Cop II”. Years later, Murphy changed his mind and called Beverly Hills Cop III “garbage”. Critics and audiences agreed with latter-day Murphy. Beverly Hills Cop III flopped. It opened in third place at the box office and quickly disappeared from theaters. For a long time after that, there was absolutely no demand for any more Beverly Hills Cop.
But since everything old is new again, there have been efforts to revive the series. Murphy was attached to a fourth film recently, but he didn’t like the script. He filmed a pilot for a TV show. But the show would have starred Brandon T. Jackson as Murphy’s son who followed his father into law enforcement. Unfortunately, CBS thought audiences would only accept the show if Murphy was in every episode. So the show wasn’t picked up. Today, the status of the Cop franchise is unknown. Murphy is the franchise and he doesn’t seem especially interested in continuing.
Terrence Clay thank you for putting all of this here I appreciate the read
Awesome video bro!!!!
18:52 That was pretty cool.
Mathew please do vampire in Brooklyn
The film/movie Outlaw/Loner ooo that would be a good one to see.
18:04-18:10.; Who's making a cameo, there, again?...
They are Arthur Hiller, Ray Harryhausen, and Disney songwriter Robert B. Sherman.
It has been announced on Facebook that there will be a 4th movie to end the franchise and it will go direct to Netflix. It doesn’t look good though. I doubt Judge Reinhold will be in it. Just like this movie there won’t be a cameo from an upcoming black comedian like the first two did. Beverly Hills Cop 1 had a cameo appearance of Damon Waynas as the man that gives Axel the bananas that he puts in the Tailpipe to Stop Rosewood and Taggert. The second movie has a cameo appearance of Chris Rock. The third movie has no black comedian cameos. Instead we Director cameos like George Lucas which weren’t that good. I doubt the 4th one will have any black comedian cameos either. Who are they going to kill or badly hurt to get Axel involved? Now my pitch for a 4th movie would be as cast would be Eddie Murphy with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and have it directed by Edgar Wright. Make similar to Hot Fuzz. My second idea would be to have Eddie team up,with Channing Tantum and Jonah Hill for a Jump Street crossover. Either idea could work and would be better than what he currently has planned.
Yes, this film is quite bad, but it is a guilty pleasure of mine.

OOOh ok... Thanks for responding btw, Mathew :-) Love your reviews!
I love you, Brain, but you're trying way too hard with this review. Complaining about the opening in particular - about 5 seconds of a train passing by: "so boring" - seriously? Do you also think 2001 sucks? Lol but for real, I'm glad you don't nitpick this much anymore, it really comes across more mean-spirited than genuine critique. Try to enjoy making these reviews. You don't need to try to make a bad movie look bad/worse 😈
It is more of a general comment on how the opening of the movie is terribly dull and flat, especially in comparison to the exciting ways the previous entries opened.
And this was also the fourth review I ever did, so there is that.
Taking a dump on flicks is a waste of time. Invest, make one yourself and take some beating.
I have been in some since this video was made 13 years ago. Some possible contenders for worst ever made.
10:32 lmfao
I think why axol was made into a fox because of his wits and he is a smart guy. My mom hates the second one necause she fucking weird.
It was still a more entertaining movie than Metro. As shitty as this is, out of the two I would rather watch this.
Do you hate Eddie Murphy?
This is a favorite film of mine! A guilty pleasure.
I love the John Landis weirdness with the dancing at the start, the little kid punching Axel in the park, all the little quirks are great!
@Alex Kanyima I think Landis would be the 1st to say it's not a good film, but he explained that Eddie was going through a phase where he was trying to be the more mature, less funny type. Really hurt the film as it was against his character.
U right bro lol
10:31 Well, a lot of John Landis films have cameo appearences.
Random too
Boggleville is probably dead in this movie. That is why he isn’t mentioned.
Personally I don't think bhc3 is that bad. Sure it's by no means the best of the 3 movies but there's still some pretty funny scenes in it. Especially the scene in the chop shop
Oh, come on now Film Brain, Oscar was pretty good!
Come on Surge is iconic in the Beverly hills cop series. Love Surge and absolutely must be in the new sequel for nostalgia reasons🤣😁👍
@Alex Kanyima I agree. Surge was a comedic highlight though. He stands out from the first movie 🤣
I Prefer Michael Bays Bad Boys Trilogy over a Beverly Hills Cop
Will Smith did it better
I Love Martin Lawrence And Will Smith there Likable And Charasmatic there Good In Bad Boys. Trilogy
I'm rewatching the older videos and your humour is still on. I just re-watched this and it's at best mediocre. Did Murphy even care at this point?
