Looks amazing and your craftsmanship is excellent
Oh this is beautiful. Love how the plywood layers give it a visual texture. A million times better than a mass produced trophy!
Carving plywood always leaves a really cool design.
That base looks good.
Very nice .... I like the base myself .... I love your serious on your soccer ball ... I definitely enjoy all your videos .... Thank you
Well done HoneyBadger! Maybe a base that captures something conceptually unique about Soccer/Football. Maybe something that “re-states” something unique about the kid/town/area/league etc..., that would really tie it all together aesthetically and conceptually. Player jersey number, the honey badger holding up the soccer ball maybe? Black and white honey badger -- black and white soccer ball? Just some thoughts.
In this video your shop resembles an Art Studio. Love the way the Soccer Ball turned out. You really do have a wonderful variety of projects. Love the tape as a riser to hold it steady. Thank you you for sharing this with us today, from Henrico County Virginia
The balls turned out great, I also like the World Cup style base but I can see why you don’t think it’s right for this trophy, i think with a different base and the ball painted in the team’s colours it will be a terrific gift that some young lady will treasure for the rest of her life 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺
Agreed. Thanks!
The carved base looks great! And I liked the plywood's layered effect.
Great work as usual - thanks for posting and thumbs up!
A beautiful piece of art with the original base.
Your videos remind me of college lecture presentations by an artist showing and talking about his/her works!
You bring a new and higher level to the art and craft to the working of wood.
Keep up the good work.
JIM
Thanks!
Nice work - again… 👏🌹🇦🇺✌️
Looks great. Your 'roughing out' looks like my finished pieces sometimes. Personally I really like the World Cup carved base but I suppose we're used to seeing it very often here in the UK - if not actually winning it!
hahahaha.
Jam Up. Sweet Soccer Ball
Love that carved base. Looks wicked awesome! Thanks for posting this. ✌
Carved base looks really good , I like how ply gives a good pattern when sanded👏👏👏
I really like the sculpted base, beautiful work!
Base work good great jop 👍🏼🤝💐👑 fashion wood work Chennai 41
Great job! You deserve a geometry trophy for figuring all of this out. The base is beautiful. Maybe you could use it in a college trophy where would be more appreciated.
Agreed.
Looks great nice job! Making that was like being a pattern maker! Can't wait to see the table!
Nice.
👏👏👏 👍
I have a crush!
Why don't you do a bowl on lathe half the depth of the ball and coat the inside with sandpaper to sand it down that way it will be faster
I don't own bowl turning tools.
У вас неправильная шлифовка круга,вы не добьётесь так идеального круга.
The goal wasn’t to get a perfect circle. The goal was to recreate a soccer ball. Which this does.
