Mine have metal handles that expand to fit your fist better.
In the first 3 movies, there was a curve at the base of the claws that made it look like they came from above the knuckles. I assume they removed that and made them come from just below the knuckles because Hugh Jackman said he had cut himself enough times using them?

No they won’t cut anything - that part is dull (smooth) not sharp ~ the point can stab something tho it’s pretty sharp at all 3 points
