- This video highlights the two GIGM Gem and Mineral shows at Motel 6 and Quality Inn. These are two of my favorite gem show venues. There are about 40 different shows going on now at the Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show 2024.

The green quartz you bought is actually lab grown from China.
It was some of the best lab specimens I've encountered. Looks good on my desk.
That $25 trilobite was too good to be true. Then I realized it was probably molded in a concrete form! There just are not fossels that cheep!

No. But vendors are selling skulls at most venues.

Pretty much every hotel along the interstate, Kino baseball facility....it's everywhere!

I wish they didn’t have very foreign minerals so much. The world needs this all back behind a little phenol cloud.
Your “Chinese crystal” is lab grown. If you don’t mind that, it is beautiful. But if you do mind that, then lesson learned, I guess…. The price was a rip-off, though.

One unique stone is a special thing, one of several hundred similar stones is nothing. That is what these bloated outlandish shows do to gem and mineral collecting.
As a geologist going to this show is like dying and going to heaven. It's the only time you can ever see such amazing specimens in one place.
