    Mee Siam is a local's favourite comfort food and is usually eaten for breakfast. This is a dish of thin rice vermicelli served with sweet and tangy gravy with just the right amount of spiciness.

    For 10 cents a plate of simple mee siam was for many of us, a staple tuck shop fare in pasir panjang sec scool, circa * 60s.This recipe of course is superlative to the spartan tuck shop version. Thank you for the memories.

      I'm sure you can do that, but adjust the chilli used in the recipe if needed to.

      yes, u can either add more of the fermented beans or replace with fresh prawns instead.
