- A better review of the Yamaha NTX1 after 3 - 4 weeks, strings changed for lightly coated, all the plus points and what i dislike. Which is nothing really.
Its a great entry level cross over guitar, set up well and sounds good unplugged and plugged.
Thank you for that candid review.
Beautiful sounding song you are composing.
I'm considering adding that guitar to my stable.
I currently own 4 Yamaha acoustic guitars... LS16M...CPX700II...
FS820 and my nylon string CG162S which is always in arms reach. This is my go to guitar when i am trying to compose a song. I've written 7 so far.
I love the sound of the nylon string and am looking forward to owning one I can plug in.
After your review I'm sure the two classical Yamaha's will be sharing a stand. Thank you.
We are similar in age you and I but I've only been playing 8yrs. Alas had I only started earlier in life.
Thank you again and keep channeling the music that is in you.
Thanks for dropping by, it really is a lovely guitar. The problem I have is putting that and the FGTA down 😊 enjoy it if you get one and keep on playing, it’s the best thing I have ever done👌
Forgot to say before, it would be good to hear one of your songs you have written. I love listening to the lyrics others write 👍
Came from the review, found some beautiful music.❤
Thanks so much 👍
Good information and just what I was after as Ive been considering one of these. 👍
I hope it helps 👍
Nicely played Jack. Mine just arrived today. I noticed the intonation is really bad, was yours like that with the factory strings? If so, did it improve after you replaced them?
You have no idea how useful this was, thank you so much !
You are very welcome, glad to have been of help👍
I like to see and hear classical guitars being strummed to the max and see how it sounds.
Enjoyed this Video Jack, currently looking at Crossover and Steel Stringed Guitars ( I tend to play/Prefer Nylon) but quality Steel stringed , carry a hefty price for Wide nut/String spacing, so Crossover may be winning in my mind, thank you
Hi David thanks for listening in and I hope it helped, I definitely prefer Nylon string. Take care
It`s a stunnig guitar and one of the best value I ever had on guitars!
I agree 👍
Gracias Jack!
You are very welcome 👍
Love the bit on the song you’re working on. Can you share the tabs/notes?
Yes will put it in the comments tomorrow, the finished piece is the Emerald Eyes video 👍
Nice video! Thanks! Do you know if the sound turns off when you turn on the tuner (of course when the electric guitar is plugged in an amplifier)?
Good question I have always tuned it before plugging into the amp. I will test that later and reply
Tried that this morning and no it doesn't, shame really
Thanks a lot for the answer. I bought one like this, and tried to tune during a concert, but the sound continued, so I thought it was a problem in mu guitar, but now, I’m relaxed that is a characteristic about this guitar. But, I really like it, specially the high notes!
@@pedrozah small issue that but a great sounding guitar 👍
What strings you used in the guitar?
D’Addario strings, there the ones I prefer. I hope that helps 👍
Nice video, thank you. Has somebody experience comparing NTX1 / NTX3 / NTX5 ? Is it worth to spend more money? Thank you.
Sorry for the late reply, i came across one video comparing the NTX3 to NTX 5
Very Nice Review
Best Regards from Eddie🙂
Thanks Eddie appreciate you having a listen regards Jack
Suits you well, Jack!!!
Cheers Tom 👍
I just picked up a used copy of this guitar and the action seems very high. I am coming from steel string guitars that I have set with a low action so slightly biased. I even removed the saddle to see how low was possible and it still seems a little high! So would be interested in your current height at the 12th fret as I can't find any information. I will likely be be lowering the nut and the saddle as low as I can but would first like to understand out of the box measurements. Thanks
Sorry for the delay been helping put a small music festival on. The height at the 12 th fret is 4mm. I hope that helps 👍
@@jackfagan I ended up lowering the action to just under 2mm on the bass side and around 1.75 on the high E. I lowered the saddle a little and the bridge a lot. I also lowered the nut a small amount. So it's now a lot more comfortable to play.
@@robinbebbington7063 Ok thanks for the info, going up to my local guitar shop later today and as I’m not capable of doing what you have done ( to ham fisted) I’ll find out what it will cost to lower the action
@@jackfagan I just took off a couple of mm from the saddle with a Dremel and levelled with sand paper. I also took off a small amount from the bottom of the nut. Lovely little nylon that I am sure I will have for many years.
@@robinbebbington7063 thanks for the info, i have booked it in for next week 👍
Does it have a truss rod?
No it doesn’t, but had no issues 👍
You sure? I just bought a used one and it looks like it has a truss rod.
