Gravitation 07 : Mass And Weight (CBSE , Class IX ,Physics)

To understand the differences we need to compare a few points: 1) Mass is a measurement of the amount of matter something contains, while Weight is the measurement of the pull of gravity on an object. 2) Mass is measured by using a balance comparing a known amount of matter to an unknown amount of matter.

mam g is not always same in all part of world
because since the earth is slightly flattened at the poles so the radius of the earth at the poles is minimum the value of g is maximum at the poles

madam it is a big mistake by you because the weight on moon is 1/6 compare to weight on earth so the weight on moon is

Unit is Newton i. e. Equal to (Kg-m)/sec^2
