I love the sound they achieved. Congratulations to the Sabian team and to Randy. Always innovating and maintaining the quality of the AAX, thanks for that.
I had one of these for years before it cracked. I ordered a 19" from the vault. It wasn't stamped with the size. Unique! I'm so happy. Sabian hooked it up and had to look for them. Great customer service. ❤🤘
I’ve wanted one since Tain used one back in the day. I get a similar sound with an ozone style crash. It’s interesting that an ozone and rocktagon get a similar effect, trashier than a normal crash
Awesome! My buddy had the AA version back in 1995, and I loved that cymbal. This one sounds great also, and it has that thick sound that AA cymbal had also.
With the mallets it reminds me of the effects used at the start of Moody Blues’ Days of Future Past. I think they achieved that with some sort of audio effect, with the orchestra and cymbal building over it, but this sort of achieves that dissonance and raw sound on its own.
Sabian doesn't put their logo on top of the cymbals anymore, because its so Goddamn ugly they don't want to scare anyone away, who was the genius who signed off on that new logo saying, "hey, I have a great idea!!"

My absolute favourite effects cymbal ever made. I’m so glad they brought it back!
I got the AA 18” Rocktagon on my kit😁

They really are great! They found the ride that Chad Sexton uses for me. It was a Cymbal Vote Artisan that never got produced. Things a beast!

It's back baby! Sabian for life 🤘😎
I have the old 18” AA Rocktagon and he ain’t lying! The thing is SUPER thick and roars if you bash it.
I love the first Rocktagon series from the 80s and I am happy to have one of those, but this new one sounds interesting too. Great job!
They sound great. Love my Canadian made SABIAN cymbals ... Happy Canada Day!

The stop sign cymbal, tbh they sound great
Absolutely fantastic
I would love to see the xsr series in natural finish! And also would love to see thin rides in xsr natural!
Sounds awesome!!
I have an 80s version. Whats the weight range for the new AAX version?

I'm gonna try and pick one up.🥁🛑
That's an awesome cymbal
Bring back the Max Splashes
Just got one!😎
Thank you too much terima kasih
Any chance of mass-producing the Clocktagon? I saw one at the Sabian factory years ago and have wanted one on my studio wall ever since!
Love my Clocktagon!
Anyone know how much these weigh approximately? Is 18” the only size they make currently? Thanks in advance!
that looks so cursed but at least it sounds awesome
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What kind of ride was that ? 🤤😮💨
22" HH Sessions Ride, Todd Sucherman signature.
Cràs ma coném-se!!!
What you made is a pang
Its sounds like a trash more than crash but it sounds cool

THE ORIGINAL ROCKTAGONS WERE BETTER! sorry, I hate this one : (
Nasty, and not in a good way IMO. They went away for a reason 🤣🤣🤣 Might work great as a suspended cymbal for orchestra but sounds bad for a drum kit
