As true Americans, we have much to be thankful for and we should not forget this, this Thanksgiving. Our Heritage is unique and should not be forgotten. Thank you Dixie Cryptid for reminding me of who we are despite those who would attempt to change us who do not recognize our uniqueness.

Story continued - we owned the property for another five years and I never did see anything outside the norm, but I never went on the property without being armed to the teeth. Our farm dog, a fifty pound Labrador retriever that lived with horses, disappeared during this time frame. I never did put it all together until years later when I saw Bigfoot stories on TV. Then, I knew what the clapping was - it was telling me to get the hell out of Dodge, which I did. If it had come out of that thicket I would have either killed it or made him have a bad day. My Winchester was loaded with 150 Nosler Partition bullets that would really do a number on most anything. Btw, I am a retired shooting and firearm’s editor and can handle a rifle as well as most anybody.. you can use my name and story if you want.

@@jbizzle1966 I had a Pre-64 Model 70 in .270 lying across my lap with 150 grain Spitzer loaded in it. I wish I had one of my M1A’s loaded with a 20 round magazine. It was in a thicket about 30 yards away. The only .50 I would want is a .Ma Deuce if I had my choice but I think it would have been a little to big for my four wheeler.

My buddy Jack, a former Army Ranger and now a Fish & Game warden in Alaska, told me that if you see a Sasquatch DON'T SHOOT IT unless you're a member of at least a twelve man very heavily armed team (like the govt equips to hunt these things when necessary). The reason you don't shoot one if you see it is because there are ALWAYS at least 2 - 3 others nearby that you don't see. Jack says they live and roam as family units that are typically 5 - 8 in number. If you mess with one of them you're going to be dealing with all of them. He says that when someone (e.g. hunter or woodsman) is foolish enough to shoot at one or kills one of them the shooter is usually taken and very slowly tortured and killed. Take these things as you will.

      Wise advise.
These are really a human hybrid, likely an Ancient line of bi-pedal, the Paternal/Male side of the DNA and the Maternal/Female/Mother value of the DNA reports as Modern Human in each of the tests done thus far, and they date back at least 40,000 years, this information is based on the studies David Paulides has been associated with.
Point is: they are another type of Human (+ ?), they, like all animals on this planet, use their Intuitive traits (folks call Instincts) and they are Telepathic, (I feel all animals are, it just hasn't been studied, "I feel this is why the Forest goes quiet when they are in the area, and why dogs retreat.).
We have these traits, but "we are taught a Physical Only Concept", so most of us never develop the traits. This is due to the "Mainstream Academic" *"19th Century Theory based Paradigm and Linear Timeline"*, and I could explain the subject, but don't want to bore you if you're not interested, however, there have been an abundance of new findings and within the next few years there will be a more accurate concept that replaces this very limited, and inaccurate Academic Paradigm.
All the new info I'm aware of is most positive.

So many people judge the weight according to human size. But you need to double the weight. If it’s 8’ tall and that thick. Instead of 550 lbs its closer to 1000 lbs. Ive seen 8 in 12 years their weight and the foot prints Ive found is impossible to duplicate. I’m 6’6” and 235 lbs and can’t even come close to make those prints. Ive tried. Not even close. Awesome stories, as usual! I think that last one hit it on the head with why the Southern Bigfoot are getting more aggressive. Inbreeding is definitely a factor as no doubt we have a dwindling species here. (Southern Bigfoot are the Type 2s, I think). And also, I have my own theory on this. Lower birth rates and few sightings of females means that there are a lot of males without mates out there - possibly related - who have probably teamed up for companionship and ease of hunting, leading to the formation of bachelor groups. Some of these young males will be rogues kicked out by troops for making trouble, others will have left of their own accord to seek mates and not be able to find any. Many more Bigfoot sightings tend to be of males, and lots of accounts have reported more than one Bigfoot in the area but seeing only males, so this may have happened in that last story, especially as the grandmother seems to have told the narrator that these weren't the nice creatures - so possibly, these bachelor groups may actually be driving out families who, choosing to protect their young, will choose to move on rather than enter a conflict where they will be outnumbered. It's just like with humans - when you get a displaced group of angry young men you get trouble, and this may be happening a lot by all accounts!

May I ask what type 2 means? I have been trying to look up classes but never find much. I have noticed the largest ones and more aggressive tend to be the black ones. Thanks!

@@Rizzob17 There's a good video here that explains the types of Bigfoot quite well: ua-cam.com/video/T8j24q_Qubs/v-deo.html - Type 2 are what are commonly known as "wood boogers" and are known for being aggressive. They're very different from the Florida skunk ape which is described as more orangutan like. Not sure about the color thing but the most common color for wood boogers according to those who see them tends to be brown pr black so maybe it's these ones you've noticed?

Hi Cam-I just now had the chance to listen to this one and loved it! The Tennessee story you related could have been at MY grandparents' farm, which was in Tipton county in west Tennessee, bordering the Hatchie River bottoms. (which as you know has many such stories) They also had been on the property for generations, had no indoor plumbing until the mid-1970s, and told stories about strange occurrences. I shared my story with you previously, which occurred on the other side of the Mississippi River in Arkansas, less than 50 miles from the Hatchie river bottoms. I'm convinced these creatures DO in fact pass thru the lower Mississippi Delta on a regular basis. Where they are going (or coming from) I don't know. But, there i without question adequate cover, adequate food, and enough land that humans do not regularly traverse to make it very attractive to a large primate trying to hide. Why are they more aggressive here than they seem to be in the Pacific Northwest? I don't know that either. Thanks so much! WE should get together some time and swap stories.

    • @bethbartlett5692

I happen to live North of Tipton County, at present, Dyer County. I also have one of my degrees in Sociology and post grad studies + research. This particular reference set off a bell in my thoughts, so to speak, so I will offer my "Sociologist Perspective". BTW, Quantum Physics is a subject I've devoted some time to gaining understanding of, however, I am no Physicist, they do their work and "I enjoy learning the findings", way easier for me, Math was never my friend! lol.
      My Hypothesis:
The attitude is literally reflective of (thoughts, feelings, experiences, and that holds true for all animals, be they dogs, monkeys, or humans).
Given this fact, the best explanation that comes to mind would be defined by the "Universal Law of Attraction" like Energies/frequency (s) attract.
Keep in mind I'm speaking of "energy(s)" and their relative points on the frequency scale.
Please be patient and hear me out. What I'm describing is defined by Quantum Physics Science.
The energy scale's lowest Vibrational Energy is Fear, Highest is Love, (Love, Joy, Creative, Passions, Compassion, Inspirations, Laughter, Wellbeing, etc all High Vibe Frequencies, also all energies associated with our Human Higher Mind Thoughts and Feelings, Higher Mind is also the area where Wisdom resides.)
The Lower Mind, aka (Ego Mind, aka Adolescent Mind) is where the negative thought energies are found: (Fear, Jealousy, envy, Judgemental, prejudice, etc)
Generally speaking, there are a great deal more learned Fears in the culture of the South, ie: West Tennessee, than in the area of Washington State, where the Culture is generally far more relaxed, not preoccupied with subjects that tend to be more apt to judging.
The "Universal Law of Attraction" is probably the most important "morsel of education info I ever learned", It is maybe the larger part of our Universe, all inclusive, (we create 99.999% of our own experiences and reality), the fact that we do, means "understanding how allows us to Improve upon it". Thus, I see this Law as a key and Gift from Our Creator, for using in this Life Journey.
Those whom come to be aware of the subject sorta have a choice to master it, b/c "Nothing is by chance, nothing."
Google the "Law of Attraction", if you're not familiar with it, and if you have Any Questions, reply/Ask, cause I have studied and practiced the method for about 4 years. It would save you some time.
      ___________________________
... but that my perspective, after all, it's backed by Science, the Law is Absolute, and it is a part of the Divine Design.
      I rest my hypothesis ... 😉
      Best Thoughts!
      Beth
      NW Tennessee, USA
PS: Ever hear of the "Hatchie River Yacht Club"? I use to be affiliated with that group of eclectic individuals, lol.

Man oh man! Fantastic stories, every one of them! & Cam.... you ALWAYS do these stories justice, your voice becomes animated as you launch into the character of the story. The intensity & excitement in your voice puts the listener right there in the encounter! I just love listening to your sweet Southern drawl. You are truly a master story teller. And thank you to those authors for sharing their encounters!
A Wompus cat!? Lol, that's a new one I've never heard. I love it! I remember as a kid growing up on a Texas army base, my dad (a drill instructor of all things) would take my 2 older brothers small game hunting often. If I recall correctly, one of their first hunts on their own was a 'snipe hunt'. Having been let in on the joke while the boys were out hunting (with their pellet guns & burlap sacks) I couldn't wait for their return. I knew right then Dad had armed this little sister with some "ammunition" that would provide entertainment at their expense for years to come. Of course karma has a way of finding everyone & turn about is fair play. We had a pretty good snowfall one winter, a rare event in that part of the country, and I missed much of the fun being too scared to go play outside. When the boys found out why, then it was their turn to laugh. Being the last one out the door, after getting all bundled up, Daddy told me to be real careful, especially in the deeper snow, "cuz them thar snow snakes will crawl up your butt & freeze ya ta death." Hahaha
We live in the great northwest now, prime Bigfoot territory here in Clackamas County, Oregon. That was about 45 years ago, in the early 70's. Yet every time it snows I think of that still. Hahahaa

I was listening to your reading letters when I spotted something that mated me wonder, the letter of the guy who went to pick up a car and tractor. When he had his military friends go with him and was followed by the game warden. At the point reading 38:21/44:41 looking at the biggest darkest tree you see someone? something come from behind it and walk to the right. ????

It is interesting that you mentioned the roc clapping incident. A similar incident happened to me in South Central Georgia in 1994. I was out cutting some limbs left over from when we timbered some of the farm the year before. I was cutting with a chainsaw and piling up the limbs so they would burn the next time we back burned the farm. The sound came from a thicket about 30 yards from my location. At first I just ignored the sound that sounded like a several hundred pound relay that was chattering. After listening to this sound for a few minutes I shut off my chainsaw and went and sat on the seat of my four wheeler and grabbed a coke out of my cooler on the four wheeler. The sound continued. After a while it began to scare me, so I pulled my Winchester .270 out of its scabbard and chambered a round. As soon as I did, the sound stopped. I finished my coke and cigarettes headed back to what I was doing, after putting the rifle back in the scabbard on the four wheeler. I had not even reached my chainsaw about 15 yards away before the sound began, again. I cranked the saw back up and cut a few limbs before heading back to the four wheeler, again. I sat on the seat and pulled my rifle out of the scabbard, again, and layed it on my lap. As soon as I did, the sound stopped, again. I looked through my scope at the thicket but I could not see anything. I smoked another cigarette and put the rifle back in the scabbard before I headed back to my chainsaw. The same thing happened a third time but this time I got the hell out of Dodge after picking up my chainsaw and strapping it on the four wheeler. I never saw anything that could have made the sound, but whatever it was scared the hell out of me. Our farm in Irwin County, Ga was part of an original 2,500 acre family farm. I had hunted this farm almost every fall and winter for the previous 30 years and knew every road and trail on the property. I knew we had bob cats and panthers on the property, as well as lots of dove and quail. The Satilla River started on our property. I had never experienced anything or unusual on the property that I could not account for.
Later that fall my youngest daughter and I were deer hunting in a blind on a 50 acre field that adjoined the are where I had experienced the clapping sound. She had her binoculars and I had mine. She was watching down one leg of the field and I was watching the other leg of the field.at about dark she told me someone was walking in the field. I swung in her direction with my nocks and she said he walked in the woods. I then asked her where he as, what color was he and how tall was he. She told me where this person was and she told me. She told me it was completely black and it was half as tall as the trees at the end of the field. That made it 8-10 feet tall. I did not see anything and it rained for three days after our hunt.I am a Vietnam Marine and not a lot scaresme, but I was a little bit scared both times.
