This video is from the live concert (Live in Paris).
The video is recorded by 73 cameras.
Till, the singer, is a trained pyrotechnican. Everything is safe on stage for the band members.
"Du Hast", you have. But Till play with words. "Du hast" (you have or "Du hasst" (you hate).
For your next reaction, you can take Rammstein - Rammstein (live 2022) (the song goes about the Ramstein Airbase disaster)
    - Mein Herz brennt (Piano version)
    - Mutter (Live from Paris) So deep an the lyrics are awsome.
Hope you make more reactions to Rammstein! ;-)

It's so kind of you to share this info here, but it's so transparent that she, just like many other creators, boos their engagement in comments by pretending they 'need' viewers insight on something they could easily find online in few seconds. It's triggering, since it offends intelligence and shows disrespect for the effort people like you always put in order to help out with additional info. If she cat fished people to answer her, at least she could have decency to thank them.

"Du Hast" plays with words, as usual with Rammstein. "Du hast mich" sounds similar to "Du hasst mich" but different meaning. ("You have me" vs. "You hate me") "Willst Du bist der Tod uns scheidet, treu Ihr/mir sein für alle Tage" (translates more or less to "Will you be faithful until death puts us apart") is one of the better known phrases which are asked during weddings in Germany....
And yes people pay extra money for being in the fire zone of a Rammstein concert...

Rammstein's lyrics are characterized by very provocative and often controversial subject matter. The lyrics often deal with violence, sexuality, death and other taboo subjects. The lyrics are often very poetic and metaphorical, and often play with symbols and images. They are often very pictorial and emotional and can evoke strong reactions in the listener. Another characteristic of Rammstein's lyrics is the use of ambiguous and ambivalent statements, which allow the listener to interpret the lyrics in different ways. The lyrics can be understood both as social criticism and as personal experience.

Rammstein is a fantastic band. The music is absolutely great and if you like this song, you will love a lot of their oeuvre. Rammstein is in my top three of favourite bands ever and I don't dare say number one because there are too many great bands to name one the very best.
The live shows are a true happening and it is mandatory you have to see them live at least once in your life. The fireworks are real and in this video you have seen only a small part of what the band will show at a concert. I have been fortunate to have seen them live twice and by far the most fun I ever had at a concert.
The lyrics are mostly in German, a few are in other languages, and they are always interesting. They deal with real events, for instance their song "Rammstein" is about the horribly accident at the airshow of Ramstein in 1988 (the brother of my best friend was there), or the son Mein Teil which is about the German cannibal Armin Meiwes (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armin_Meiwes) who murdered and ate his victim in 2001. The song Deutschland is about Germany dealing with its past, and so on.
Most lyrics have double meanings, are funny, provocative, naughty, controversial and poetic. Singer Till Lindeman is, in my opinion, a great poet with a brilliant grasp of the German language. The Rammsteing videos are masterpieces on their own merit and absolutely worth to check out.
If you like this song, go and listen to their others because you will like those as well.

I do speak German and even though I can understand what they are singing about, I have found out from many of my non-German speaking friends, that the lyrics really mean little to them. Rammstein easily have the most extravagant pyrotechnics of any live band in existence. They have an area of the audience called “the fire zone”, it’s an area where the crowd experience the most heat, and you pay for those tickets at your own risk. You can still feel the heat from far away. I saw them at Download Festival in the UK, we were way back and it was hot, and that was outdoors.
The only band I’ve personally seen come close is Sabaton. They have plenty of fire, and even at the back of an indoor arena you can feel the heat. That’s a whole different rabbit hole to explore. If you want great lyrical content, their songs are all inspired by real life historical events (mostly war).
Rammstein’s songs are 90% in German, and given the translations of a lot of those lyrics, it’s probably for the best that you don’t understand them 😅 some of them are extremely profound.

The singers father was a famous East German poet and author. And so they play a lot with the German language. Also in that song. They use that the German word "Hass" (hate) or the correct conjugation "hasst" sounds almost identical to "hast" (have). So when they start it is like "You, you hate me...and then adding "gefragt" (asked) and that turns it into "you have asked me".
"Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treue sein für alle Tage" is the German marriage vow. And their official video, can also bei found here on UA-cam, gives additional info. It's about a woman that wants her boyfriend to decide between her and his friends. She waits near the car while he enters a shed with his friends, armed with a pistol. But he decides against here, has fun with them and drinks alcohol. Then leaves the shed with his friends, passing by the car without even looking at her. He looks at his wrist watch and the car with his girlfriend explodes in the background.
That's why the answer after the text line with the marriage vow is "Nein!" (no!).
I remember when that album was released in 1997, I was 15 years old and whenever my parents were not at home I tortured their stereo with that song!

Till Lindemann (the Singer), used to be on a short list to the 1980 Olympics (for East Germany), but he never got there, and as you can see he have kept himself in shape ever since.
Till is also a licensed pyrotechnician, and does all the pyro himself.
"An incident in September 1996 caused a section of the band's set to burn, and as a result, Lindemann got his certification in pyrotechnics so the band could perform with pyrotechnics more safely than it had previously"
The reason why Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is on a treadmill, is actually quite simple, he have so much energy, that he can't stand still, and because of all the fireworks he for obvious reasons can't run randomly around the Stage.
The real reason why the members looks dirty is because of anti flammable gel, because of safety reasons, and some of the powder residue sticks to the gel, making them look dirty.
I'm not certain about this, but I have read several times, that Till does have some stage fright, so he often picks a point over the crowd that he focus on, instead of looking directly into the crowd.
"The lightning" is CGI added afterward, the rest is quite real.
The Gun sends of some firework that follows two wires (if you look close you can see them).

    Hello,
your translation is absolutely correct. "You hast (mich) means in English: "You have (me)". That can be understood as "you possess me" first.
"hast" is the conjugation of the German verb "haben" (to have). Later he sang "Du hast mich gefragt" it means in English: "You asked me" or "You have asked me".
That is the complete sentence. You see using tenses in German and English are not the same. In German we use mostly the German Perfekt (2. Vergangenheit, Present tense) more than in English. That should be enough for grammar but the most important is having fun and enjoying this powerful music. Thanks a lot and best regards from Berlin/Germany.

Rammstein is one of the most famous metal bands and are living legends with the same line-up for nearly 30 years and the greatest rock/metal show on the road in these days. They are a german band and are considered the best live band in the world, especially when it comes to showmenship, pyro and fire. Rammstein concerts are lifetime experiences. MSG in New York was sold out in 20 Minutes. The videos of Rammstein are Art, their Lyrcs are art, their music is art, the Voice of the leadsinger is unique, but famous all over the world is Rammstein beacuse of their live shows, the best in the world in these days. Above all, Rammstein uses pyro quite differently than all other bands. Watch the concerts Rammstein live at Madison Square, Rammstein live in Paris and you will understand. Compared to Rammstein, the masters of fire and pyro Kiss are preschoolars. This is not blood on the arms it is fire protection gel.
Rammstein's music is a mixture of techno (electronic music) and metal (= industrial metal), although Rammsteins origins are in punk music. Rammstein concerts are a life time experience that you will never forget. Their videos are art but also often controversial.
Rammstein also refers to classical German literature, e.g. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's. Several of their songs are related to controversial and taboo subjects such as sadomasochism, homosexuality, intersexuality, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, cannibalism, pyromania, religion and sexual violence. Also several of their songs are allegedly inspired by real-life events or politics. Rammstein lyrics are very deep and are also often used in school and universities around the world to learn German. There are people who learn German only because of Rammstein. Rammstein fans are considered to be the craziest and most fanatical fans in the world. In concerts from the hardcore fans all over the world it is expected that you can sing along with the German lyrics even if you don't speak German.

Then with Electric Callboy ("Tekkno Train", "We got the moves", "Mindreader") we have the inventors of the party core, which is currently being celebrated by almost all major reaction streamers.

You can't see it in the movie but right under the roof of the arena there's a scaffolder, and from this scaffolder 4 white flares head to the stage and when they reach it, the fireworks on the stage is begining, some people think it's the same flares that are heading back and forth to the stage after flying above the audience, watch carrefully you will see the flares colours are different, red then white.

Rammstein is allowed to perform in every country, so the pyro stage show is also safe. After all, it has to be tested and approved by the relevant authorities beforehand.
So don't worry, everything is subject to the strictest safety precautions.

It's intended to have a double meaning here. The German "Du hast" (You have) and "Du hasst" (You hate) sound identical. You first think, he sings: "You hate me", until you realize that he means "You have asked me and I've said nothing". The song also uses German wedding vows.

  • @billbrill-lb9xz
    @billbrill-lb9xz Рік тому

Well, the funthing about this is song is that the meaning turns twice... So first they sing "you have ...me" which can be understood as "you hate me", if nothing follows.. but it goes on with "you have asked me and i didnt answer" and it turns storywise back to the first impression what you get as a german speaking person, to the hate thingy... Greetings from Hessen!

Everything aside from the lightning was real. I've seen them a few times live and they love fire. As for the fireworks you were concerned about, it's actually 4 different things happening in sequence.
    1. Til fires the "gun" and it produces a red flash. Kind of like a big roman candle.
    2. That triggers the wire rockets that "fly" from the stage to towers at the back. These are fireworks that follow a guide wire.
    3. Those trigger another set of wire rockets that "fly" back towards the stage.
    4. It then triggers the fireworks display behind them,
Those fire blasts are hot so the back members (especially the three up front) are coated in fire-retardant gel. And, without giving anything away, the blood on Til's arm could be real, but it could also be leftover makeup from the previous song in the concert (Mein Teil).
If you want to see more Rammstein videos, I'd recommend looking a two UA-cam channels who have done a pretty good job with English subtitles - Educated Marine and Bucksttabu

  • @PalleRasmussen
    @PalleRasmussen Рік тому

    1. You have the most stunning eyes I have seen for a long time.
    2. You want to know the lyrics, Till is a poet, and *all* their lyrics have several layers and interpretations. You can watch with English subtitles at Educated Marine's channel, if you are not fluent enough in German to catch all subtleties.

  • @simianrogue
    @simianrogue Рік тому

As for the blood, apparently it's Till's own blood as he often gets cuts off the mic stand. His body bares the scars of previous injuries.

  • @arnonyhm4055
    @arnonyhm4055 Рік тому

The first three words are "Du hast mich" (you have me) which at that moment doesn't make any sense in German. But it sounds (intentionally) the same as "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). Later in the song, the first three words are extended to a full sentence: "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." (You asked me and I did not answer.) And then, to show what he was asked, the chorus is a wedding vow: "Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" (Do you want to be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) This is answered first by a kind of female voice "Ja" (yes) and afterwards by Till's harsh voice "Nein!" (No!). These - plus a slightly obscene word play on the wedding vow, that I will not explain here - are the whole lyrics (repeated a few times).
For many of Rammstein's videos there are English subtitles available. To find a lot of them, you may search on UA-cam for: "educated marine rammstein" + songname
For live videos of Rammstein songs, www.youtube.com/@Bucksttabu/playlists is a good source.
In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast".)
What videos to watch from Rammstein? I have a few suggestions.
If you want to see more of their (incredible) live performances I would suggest (in this sequence)
Rammlied (live from Madison Square Garden)
Engel (live from Madison Square Garden)
Sonne (live at Rock im Park 2017)
Links 2 3 4 (live from Madison Square Garden)
Ich will (live from Hurricane Festival 2016)
Ich tu dir weh (live from Madison Square Garden) (don't take the lyrics too serious)
Mein Teil (live at Hurricane Festival 2013)
    Amazing official videos
Sonne (Sun) heavy, screwed up fairy-tale
Links 2 3 4 (left) partly heavy march
Ich will (I want) heavy, simple, way to celebrity
Spring! (Jump!) (fan-made animated version with english subtitles) slow, partly heavy, very dark sarcasm!
Radio (Radio) catchy song (with serious background)
Keine Lust (not in the mood) heavy, funny, slidely sad
Mein Herz brennt (My heart burns) scary, nightmarish, very special
Amerika (America) catchy, not a love song
Newest official videos from their last album "Zeit" in sequence of the tracks on the album:
Zeit (Time) slow, dark, melancholic, emotional
Zick Zack (Snip Snap) catchy song, sarcastic, funny
Angst (Fear) very Rammstein, scary, credits at the end are helpful to understand the message
Dicke Titten (Big Boobs) heavy (most of the time), catchy, funny, credits are funny too (my view)
Adieu (Goodbye) dark, sometimes heavy, emotional
Last but not least the great (but not nice) video "Deutschland" which has a lot of references to (mostly unpleasent) parts of German history. Video, lyrics, and sound are great (my view) and work very well together.
I wish you to enjoy your Rammstein journey.

When Till fires the shotgun, a pair of red trailing rockets fly along a wire, so he can't go anywhere but towards the end of the wire. Upon reaching the destination, two rockets with white trails fly towards the stage, again following a wire, so that they arrive exactly where they were intended. The effect is spectacular, and the show is safe.

Vocalist Till Lindemann renews his pyro- technics license every couple of years with a crash course at Berlin’s Velodrom, after which he holds something ambiva-lently marvellous in his big, scarred hands, “License and qualification to burn pyrotechnic substances.” Things get blown up elsewhere, too. But Rammstein knows exactly which moments need fire, and which do not. The times at which the show should be a dream, and when it should be a nightmare. The production of their live shows these days is huge. More than 70 trucks and over 200 people are working around the show. Everything needs to be in order, meaning all trucks need to be on site in the right order and in the right time etc....
Their shows are an experience. Like a freaking Mad Max musical
Oh, and in case you were wondering - the band uses about 265 gallons of fuel per night.

You're gonna need to listen to studio recorded tracks if you want to hear lyrics. They do a lot of audience participation in live shows. They only perform in arena's and open air venues where they can do their full pyrotechnic show. It's probably why they don't tour North America very often.

Rammstein makes what they call tanzmetall (dance metal), and their live shows are full of fire and fireworks. They usually perform in huge stadiums nowadays where it's less of an issue, but it can be safely done indoors as well. Seen them live multiple times and it's quite the show. They always sell out in no time
If I may recommend a few songs from others:
    - Alter Bridge with "Words Darker Than Their Wings" and "Blackbird"
    - Poets of the Fall with "Carnival of Rust" and "Temple of Thought
AB is an American hardrock band and POTF is a Finnish rock band, both with amazing vocalists. I've seen them live multiple times (going to AB in two months again and waiting for Poets to announce a new tour) and they're amazing live as well. Two of my all time favorite bands 🙂

_Du hasst mich..._ = "you hate me..."; but, when _gefragt_ (ask / demand) is suffixed to the statement (hence, the ellipsis points "..."), the sentence changes to the question, "You have asked me?" ( _Du hass mich gefragt?_ ). That is, the chorus is a 'play on words' between _hasst_ / _haßt_ ("hate") and _hass_ / _haß_ (have) -- something Rammstein are, apparently, famous for in their musical lyrics.
