@@ShadetreeMechanic I still have the engine in the frame. It’s the top of the piston chamber closest to the back of the quad. Where the rods/ springs sit. I’m thinking it’s just held in with a really good RTV adhesive? Figured I’d ask before breaking anything

Hey man I’m having trouble removing the top of my dads old 2003 v twin 650 (I think they’re similar it identical) any sneaky bolts im missing?
Shouldn't be anything hidden. Removing it from the frame? Or what part of the engine?

What did you end up having into it in parts? About to get one in a trade and guy says motor is seized up.
