Yes ! I'm working like you. I also put a extra tube in the pillar as a guide and strength. Then I drill some parts and wax oil after paint job.

I found that my welding on 2cv is a lot better when the outside temperature is under 5 degrees. (with MIG).

don't know what to say...I think I don't even go to the garage if so cold.... :-)
