Gaethje was dumb enough to obey and try to exchange in the last seconds and look worse than he was looking already. Not impressed by Max at all. It's mma, anything can happen most of the times but Ilia has proved who he is in every area and I don't see how Max can make the right last long enough to try outpoint Ilia. How? If by a miracle Max lands one sniper counter shot hard enough to sit Ilia on his ass, I don't it, we'll be having a Jai Herbert's deja vu flash instant comeback and Max will experience what he couldn't back then vs Khabib and either get TKO by ground and pound or submitted. There are too many ways Ilia wins and only one (unlikely) for Max to outbox Ilia for 5 rounds.
Man it’s hard to go against max, and I know he’s chin has held up till now but all those shots catch up and it might show this fight. I know he survived Justin but Justin was not the same after rd 1 and he still dropped max. So maybe we will see max knocked out, or maybe max will out pace him, outbox him and use his range to get the win
