Let the filament pass over a rubber roller before going onto the spool. You can measure the rotations/speed at which the roller spins and therefor calculate the filaments winding speed, will help to keep the diameter more consistent

Hi, very neat build! I have a question though: it looks like you are using the rotational speed (and thus tension) of the reels to control the diameter of the final filament. Won’t the tension change as the diameter of the reels increase with filament piling up?
Shouldn’t there be a windlass type mechanism to make sure the pulling speed is constant?
It can be solved by making code spin stepper motor slower as the amount of rotations it has done already increases, it is better to make tool that mesures diameter of filament and then speeds motor up or down to control diameter.

It is standard e3dv6 brass nozzle drilled with 1.6mm drill.
