No, but being a thief is more respectable since they could face real consequences if caught and they target stuff harder to break. This is just the equivalent of griefing in Minecraft.
Not about nobility, at least the thief has probably justified what they're doing to themselves like "oh i'm like robin hood" or something. The brown hat is just trying to ruin someone else's fun for their own fun. It's like walking up to a kid on the beach and kicking down their sand castle
technically black hats are more dangerous than brown hats, but looking at the intentions: a black hat is doing what he's doing usually out of self-interest. Most of the time he does not care who his actions affect, but instead focuses on the profit he gains. A brown hat hacker is the opposite, he will literally spend time and resources just to ruin someone else's day. Black hats are scary, but brown hats are the reason why simple fun little websites need whole ahh DDoS protection services and whatnot.
This is nothing like a black hat, because it's not actual hacking. It's like stealing your mom's credit card and calling yourself some social engineering, counterfeiting, pen tester.
Maybe a bit more context would be better.. this is just a rant. Which is what most of Prime's videos are, but typically we know what he's talking about
He was reading an article about someone who built a website where you could tick millions of checkboxes. In this particular part he read about how the website was constantly being DDoS'd and whatnot, despite the fact that the hackers had nothing to gain other than to ruing the guy's day; hence: brown-hat hacker
Most brown hat hackers are probably some 15-year old script kiddies thinking "hehe I'm hackerman" after downloading a DDOS python script from github
Our using Ping command as DDOS attack tool

I don't think we can download a script for ddos... for that we need hundreds of servers or millions if devices....

__ FLP DELETE ME OR LINK PROPERLY __
Waiting for Very Cutesey and Very Demure Hackers.
That's just a subset of black hat hackers. Also, is being a thief more noble than being a douche?

No, prime you're wrong. If you ruin somebody's personal project because you wanna learn hacking, you're not an asshole. You're a criminal.
