Love this tutorial. When I sew this sequin I usually just top stitch it down and trim the excess or the part where you attached the mesh to the sequin you could have trimmed the sequin and then folded the mesh down and top stitched.
@16:09 id suggest to trim you mesh shoulder seams after you’ve adding the bias bindings to the back shoulder seams, so you can make it the same width. Cause here your back shoulder seams on each side look like there hanging off the edge of the front shoulder seams, and that can make it look uneven
Thank you so much for that! I see exactly what you’re talking about. It was a bit uneven. I noticed it but thought I could stretch the mesh some to make up for it. Didn’t quite work out in my favor. But I’ll have to remember to do this the next time I make one like it. I appreciate this suggestion so much.
@Dsignher Diaries you're welcome, it's a learning process..... and you can stretch the mesh easier depending on how you cut it, if you cut it with the maximum stretch is width wise then it'll stretch better, but just look out for it bunching after you sew it, from it trying to pull back in to the original size.
Yes May local Joann has it in store. It’s normally located in the bridal/special occasion section. But here’s a link as well just in case: www.joann.com/skin-tone-tulle-fabric/18266130.html
I bought the fabric off of Etsy…Kiki Fabric. The exact color I used may be sold out. But she has tons of other very beautiful sequin velvet. Appliqué off of AliExpress: Keering Rhinestone I should have the direct links in the description box as well.

Is the mesh at the front stretchy?
Yes ma’am it is. It’s a two way stretch mesh. Great quality stretch without ripping.
Not sure why, but there is no audio for most of the video.
I’ll have to look into that…thank you for letting me know
First Comment ! ♥️

I purchased this mesh from my local Joann. It’s in the color “Cocoa”. It’s illusion mesh. I can never find it on their website only in stores for me.
