These two hands down made the show for me. So damn funny and entertaining. And the way they always came at each other each time. Hella epic. They were the show.
Totally agree! Fran and Maxwell characters were obviously developing into getting in a relationship; but no one would’ve seen that between Niles and CC and it was an amazing plot twist
Interesting fact: Daniel Davis (Niles) actually wasn’t a fan of the Niles and CC romantic relationship. He said they were too much like water and oil and them ending up married was the one thing about the show he could never buy. Haha.
Yeah it seemed like they were really in a rush to get everyone and their mother married off in the last season. A rather conservative element in an otherwise very progressive show. At least Brighton and Grace got away.
The age gap was odd for me as a kid (he was 50+ CC was late 30s?) but eh, it's Sitcom love. Plus, CC was way too obsessed with Maxwell, probably the moment Sarah died. Of course Niles, the main butler, would protect the man of the house.
Most of Nilies's Roasts are hilarious . But I especially enjoy and love the ones that are about Max and Fran having a relationship. Also when CC tried to insult Nilies but he came back even harder :D
This is actually my favorite couple on the show, it really shows that there are different strokes for different folks. They have SUCH chemistry and the way they bounce off each other is just priceless. I just LOVE their relationship and how it slowly burned throughout the series. THATS how you do it!!
@@melsdoctor8591 thyme is a herb used in culinary, just like sage, and it is pronounced just like 'time'. This implies that poor CC is old in a most brilliant way.
Yeah, they don't need to be in a romantic relationship for you to love when a couple was together. I also loved the bromance between Ryan and Esposito in Castle.
C.C. wasn't alone because she wasn't attractive nor didn't have class. Her personality made it impossible for someone except on her level of humor and sarcasm to want to be with her. Niles was an instant match for her.
@Lori Valencia , good point. But let's also remember she was pining for a man who had even deeper professional reasons for rejecting her. She was the reason he passed on the opportunity to produce _Cats_ and Maxwell never forgot it either. It never had to be mentioned much in the show (only twice I believe), but it should have been mentioned more often.

If she never won she'd just be Meg from Family Guy. :)
