I cannot count the number of recordings I've heard of this piece over the years - live, on cd, on vinyl, even wax cylinder. Dito the number of ensembles playing it - from high school- and village brass bands to professional military bands of every conceivable nation all the way to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Karajan. Your recording is outstanding - the sound is genuinely German, the interpretation/execution beautifully on point. Many thanks for producing this labor of love and sharing it with the world via youtube.
This is just perfect! I'm so glad, that Japan and Germany have so good relations, back in the day and nowadays! You can always count on your friends in Germany! 日本万歳! 🇯🇵♥🇩🇪
As I always say "Germany is the Japan in Europe and Japan is the Germany in Asia" as a German I'm glad the Japanese are friends. Japan is my favorite country next to Germany. Love you're culture and history 🇩🇪❤️🇯🇵 really impressive country
I'm from southamerica and here the days near our independence day the army marches this march then listen it brings happy memories to me. It makes me resemble holidays and celebration. But also wanted to say this version is so beautiful, clean and it sounds magnificent, If you ask me about a list of the countries that I admire most always in my lists the first and second positions are occupied by Germany and Japan, just switching places by my mental criteria. If anyone search for precision, good taste, method, elegance, unavoidably ends finding elements of Japanese or German culture. In the case of this video the blend is beautiful. Thanks a lot for sharing it. Arigato gozaimasu.
This is truly magnificent. Germany and Japan are two lands that have lived for too long under Amerikaner occupation and domination. Thank you for preserving some piece of Prussia!!!!
I've never seen a glockenspiel like that before! The frame isn't just hollow tubing. It's an actual stylized lyre. No wonder it sounds better than the traditional marching bell lyre!
Really nice, the musicians play with their ful heart. Have you ever thought about playing the Badenweiler (Badonviller) march? As japanese you don't have this historical burdon.
@@julisan1234 What I really like about your band is, you seem to be very good amateurs and you can hear it is not professionall, you really play the style and the bows of the music as it should be. Some professionell band don't do this like you.

By far the most impressive and majestic version i have ever heard.
Its great but it has some flaws. Listen to it played on official occasions. The Bundeswehr plays it the best

American supremacy
Well the Americans did have them occupied for some time. But Germany and Japan are now free democracies, not war-mongering monsters.
We will never be forgotten as long as people appreciate good music

It’s beautiful. All that’s needed is a heavy bass percussion section and it’ll be perfect.

At the end I was like „Ehrenbataillon, HALT!“

Should have said that fifty years ago when Japan still had a booming economy.

Ah yes, it worked out so well the last time Japan was allied with Germany. This music makes me want to goose step through the Brandenburg Gate !

Leave it to the Japanese to make improvements on something already perfect. Very well done and very well played!
One of the best renditions. Well done. Time now for the 'old military nations' to defend democracy.
