I got some mint-green washi tape with a mint-green sampler from JetPens once; I had no idea what it even was. I found the perfect use for it, though: one of my favorite mechanical pencils cracked where the top and bottom screw together and would come apart when trying to advance the lead. I fixed it using the washi tape as actual tape, wrapping it around the barrel several times at the weakpoint. The pencil has a sky-blue color; the tape actually complements it nicely, and now it holds together in use (although I did have to replace the tape once). It looks like it belongs there!
Instead of making a To-Do list, make an I've Done These Things list, and decorate each task with a sticker. You won't feel overwhelmed by a long To-Do list, because the only things on your list are things you've already done, so you'll have 100% satisfaction :D
It can also help work out why your so tired but a task hasn’t happened. Ect you didn’t write that thing cos someone rang and ask if they could visit and you needed to prep
Sending washi tape samples to friends is how I drag them into the swamp with me. All it takes is a tape in a color or pattern they like and they're hooked! It's how I got a friend into fountain pens too, I just had to recommend a good starter pen and send him ink samples in his favorite color.
I got a friend of mine into fountain pens by recommending him a starter pen and sending him ink samples in his favorite color. Now we both have an ink hoarding problem. Hah.
When we first moved into our house, I used washi tape to label the shelves in my younger son's closet. I was afraid that if I used regular labels, I might lift of the paint. Then I put white labels from my label maker over the washi tape to identify what I had on those shelves. It's held up for seven years and looks nice.
Washi tape is like painters tape, we use it to mask areas we don’t want to paint or dirty. It works great to protect the opposite page in colouring books when painting in them. I also don’t recommend the tape on outside of envelopes if they are to be mailed unless it’s hand delivered. There is a tendency it will roll up and get caught in sorting machines at the post office so best not to do it. You can also use it for wrapping presents. I also use washi tape to mount canvas on plastic corrugated boards for paint by number kits that don’t come mounted on frames. Many will cringe because it should be stapled on a wood frame but doesn’t bother me. Wood frames are expensive and take up too much space, I don’t sell art but hang at home for personal enjoyment. Plastic boards are much lighter to hang on walls, easier to mount, and easier to store flat when switching up displays vs wooden frames.
I use washi tape in greeting cards that I make, as it's a really nice way to bring some attention to the calligraphy I do. I've also started using washi tape to label my fountain pens so that I know what ink is in which pen (especially the Pilot Parallels) and which nib size each pen is, as I have multiple LAMY Safari/Al-Star pens and I sometimes swap nibs around on those. Washi tape is also great for calendar events that aren't set yet or that might move around! I personally use the Pilot Multi Ball Rollerball for most of the writing that I do on washi tape. It's so much easier to write with than a thick permanent marker! The 15mm washi tape can easily fit 3 lines of text with the fine pen, which is perfect for labeling ink colors or calendar events, and it's still large enough to read.
I love emphasizing the corners of my journal with washi tape and sticker collages! Then I match my ink to the collage. I did recently have a moment where I got super stressed about how many large stickers I had, though. Ended up sorting them by color and theme, then sticking them all over my journal pages (in a way I could still write around) until they were used up. It was cathartic 😄But when I simply have too many, or ones I don't like and won't happily use, I give them to the library. They have a free sticker container at the desk, so at least they can get some use there!
OMG I love the washi calendar idea. I use washi tape as month tabs in my Hobonichi cousin. Great because it's flexible so it won't tear the pages or rip as it rubs against the inside of the cover. If you use theme washi, like ghosts for October, you don't need to write the month on the tape (I've been told I have terrible handwriting). I also use stickers to mark interesting lines in books I'm reading. Highlighting is a good use for misc stickers or washi I figure as long as stickers and washi are in books and journals I keep, I'm still hoarding, but in a functional way.
Don’t listen to people saying you have terrible handwriting - if it is legible that is all that matters. My father’s handwriting looked fabulous but was almost impossible to read and mine was so small that back in the days when you handed in handwritten assignments, one lecturer refused to read it until I had rewritten it larger!😂
I took a book of colouring in stickers and my glitter pens when I visited my great niece and nephew. They spent hours colouring them and asked so nicely if they could keep them that, how could I refuse! I was told later, it kept them amused for ages.😊
The ones I don’t love I “donated” to my coworkers who also love stationary. We have like an area with stickers and washi for anybody to just use. I also gave stuff that I didn’t want anymore to my coworkers’ kids to play with.
Heck. That’s a problem I’d love to have. I’m not able to buy stickers and tapes and have to make the little I have last as long as I can. I use glue stick and cut flower pictures from seed catalogs because I can’t buy stickers.
I wrap things I don't like the textures of with washi, also fix rattling pens by wrapping a tiny bit around the tip so it buffers the sound. There's always a half dozen bits of washi strips I stock at the edge of my desk for various use like holding stencils in place or masking for stamps.
oh great, watching a _how to use up my sticker & washi stash,_ only to see *more* cute stickers to add to my collection. 😩 (that kitty peeking from behind the coffee is TOO adorable!) 6:59
I might do it on a big sheet of paper or a wipeboard otherwise the kid might forget you shouldn’t write on the wall. But it could be a great way of making visual calendars particularly for kids with split house or many extracurricular commitments.
I've finally made use of some of the stickers I acquired over the years when I got a new laptop. I got it a case and put some stickers on it. They really do make my day more enjoyable, and I get the benefit of frequently seeing the stickers and not leaving residue on the laptop itself! I love the ideas of decorating envelopes and letters with washi tape and stickers. I've been meaning to send a few letters to friends, so this came just in time... if I had any washi tape :P I'm not going to start a collection just yet, that's something I can save for the future. But when I have too much down the line, I adore the idea of making samplers for friends as a part of gifts.
The washi in the long clear acrylic divider at the beginning gave me a great idea to attach them and make a long drawer =D Maybe attach with Velcro dots… I used to use washi tape on the edges of my bullet journal pages to mark them, but then I got notebooks with gold edges and i didn’t want to cover it up..XD I take 4-5 washi a month for a theme, one for every week, and put them on the bottom of my 6 ring binder planner pages. I put the coordinating washi tape in the bullet journal to show which week it was at a glance. This helps me track events in a specific week. Oh yes, my favourite one but it has to be executed correctly lol I bought small, blank cardboard storage boxes from the craft store and wrapped washi tape around them to make them look better lol The cover didn’t want to go on because of the extra thickness, even though by millimeters u.u.. Another idea is to do the same with cardboard boxes from Amazon, cereal boxes, granola boxes, etc to make your own stationery holders and trays and magazine holders. Even though they’re still a little transparent, they look like you bought them. If it’s flimsy cardboard, just double up on layering cardboard with a second box to reinforce it before decorating. I also bought dollar store adhesive vinyl to try that with cardboard boxes, but have yet to try it lol Unfortunately even with all that, I ended up finding out I like transparent/acrylic containers lol ;-;
I loooove decorating snail mail! SO much so, that I even started posting youtube videos 💖💞 Since I still have way more stationery leftover, this video and the other with how to use up memo papers were super helpful! I hope you continue to make more videos like these :3
I didn't like one suggestion-- I loved them all! I am so bad about hoarding. But, as much as I liked your video, I really enjoyed the suggestions made by others in the comments, too.
I use washi tape to mask out thumbnail grids in my sketchbook. I like the idea of colourcoding the edges of notebooks and sketchbooks- will definitely try.
I use washi tape to embellish ready made note'sized card blanks. My favorite way is to create a 'woven" pattern on 2 edges of the front and add a greeting. Although I don't have many stickers...I use a die-cutting machine or stamping...stickers would work beautifully. Big fan of Appree florals😍
Heres a useful sticker tip: if you want to decorate something with stickers but arent sure where stickers should go dont lay them flat down all the way until you are sure thats where you want them to be, leave one side of the sticker not fully flat on the surface so you can pick it back up easily without damaging the sticker, you can even do this with multiple stickers at once to see how you like the layout of something. Hope this helps :>
"...your overflowing collection..." Not a problem we have to deal with in South Africa. It's a constant struggle to find good stationery, especially stickers. Zebra-products isn't available here,so you have to ask a friend or family member to bring some from the States, when they go overseas. Shipping and handling makes items too expensive. 😊
Sometimes i use washi tape to separate journal entries. It's best if the tape actually stays though, otherwise you'll get pages stuck together constantly!
When I sent off the envelope to request my ACT scores be sent to my college, I used washitape on it. I sealed it normally, of course, because washi tape isn't that sticky, but I hope whomever opened it found the glittery koi fish pretty 😊. Part of my job as well is checking the mail at work and every now and then, someone will send us their documents with washi tape. It warms my heart when I see it, because then I know this washi tape thing isn't just me, lol.
Hahaha, the thumbnail reminds me of Sabina in Charlie's Angels (2019) "more money more problems", "more money more horses". "more money more sticker" is a fit too 😂😂😂
Those were the mt Maki Maki Mini Tape Roll Maker and Kokuyo Bobbin Washi Tape Mini Roll Maker! www.jetpens.com/mt-Maki-Maki-Mini-Tape-Roll-Maker/pd/20713 www.jetpens.com/Kokuyo-Bobbin-Washi-Tape-Mini-Roll-Maker/pd/32033
I have stickers collected in the past but never used them cause i felt wasteful to use it. So I never buy any sticker since long cause I'll probably never use them and a waste of money. I like stamp much better since it can be used many times over and over..even if I eventually throw away the book with the stamp result I don't have to feel sad. Stickers only for one time use.
Why do you show items in your videos that are not available on Jetpens??? The Maki Maki flat refills are not even available for sale and the roller and round refills are sold out.
Hi there! The flat cores you see come with the Maki Maki Roll Maker. We're hoping they'll be back in stock soon, so feel free to sign up for a restock notification to get emailed when they're back!
Idk why I watched this video when I need the absolute opposite- I need a "how to horde more stickers" video I NEED MORE STICKERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I use stickers to cover up minor(or not so minor) scratches on my laptop. So far I have used up 2 stickers :-)
I need to easily remove stickers from tape
Instead of making a To-Do list, make an I've Done These Things list, and decorate each task with a sticker. You won't feel overwhelmed by a long To-Do list, because the only things on your list are things you've already done, so you'll have 100% satisfaction :D
I love this idea. I've heard it called a "Ta-Da" list, too.
Great idea and I love the Ta-da list!😄
I do this sometimes. But I often doodle after I journal too. Stick figure drawings lol
It can also help work out why your so tired but a task hasn’t happened. Ect you didn’t write that thing cos someone rang and ask if they could visit and you needed to prep
"Stickers are meant to be enjoyed, not stay in their packaging." Words to remember.

oh you evil you (wanna be my friend? lol)
"Make it their problem" 😂

That cracked me up!

Then I put white labels from my label maker over the washi tape to identify what I had on those shelves. It's held up for seven years and looks nice.
Labels over washi tape is a brilliant idea! I've got clear label tape that would work with my lighter washi tapes too.

This is a great idea. I’ll have to check with my library. Thank you!
I, too, put in rando stickers/pictured and journal around them XD
Oooooh that's such a good idea, a washi swap at a library
OMG I love the washi calendar idea. I use washi tape as month tabs in my Hobonichi cousin. Great because it's flexible so it won't tear the pages or rip as it rubs against the inside of the cover. Ooh what about highlighting with those removable colorful line stickers that just released?
Don’t listen to people saying you have terrible handwriting - if it is legible that is all that matters. My father’s handwriting looked fabulous but was almost impossible to read and mine was so small that back in the days when you handed in handwritten assignments, one lecturer refused to read it until I had rewritten it larger!😂
A couple weeks ago I got four new prescriptions in identical pill bottles. I immediately color-coded them with washi tape. ☺
I took a book of colouring in stickers and my glitter pens when I visited my great niece and nephew. They spent hours colouring them and asked so nicely if they could keep them that, how could I refuse! I was told later, it kept them amused for ages.😊

I work from home completely now, but that would have been such an office dream to have an area like that!
It’s fun! And like sometimes it does hurt to part with stuff, but once I do I don’t miss it since I wasn’t using it to begin with.
I used washi tape to make a little photo gallery on my wall. As a renter, washi tape is great for sticking little photos to the wall!
Heck. That’s a problem I’d love to have. I’m not able to buy stickers and tapes and have to make the little I have last as long as I can. I use glue stick and cut flower pictures from seed catalogs because I can’t buy stickers.
Ooohh I like that colour-coded pages thing and the gift tag washi sample card! Imma try those out
I wrap things I don't like the textures of with washi, also fix rattling pens by wrapping a tiny bit around the tip so it buffers the sound. There's always a half dozen bits of washi strips I stock at the edge of my desk for various use like holding stencils in place or masking for stamps.
I used some perforated washi labels on my tea tins to label my loos leaf tea. Perfect size for a name and brewing instructions
🎉❤✨Washi tape and stickers are the best! 🎉✨Top tier stationary 100%
The lattice washi is so cute!
I was watching this while playing with my cat and realized I was head bopping to the background music 😂❤
oh great, watching a _how to use up my sticker & washi stash,_ only to see *more* cute stickers to add to my collection. 😩 (that kitty peeking from behind the coffee is TOO adorable!) 6:59
I think wall calendars would be great in kids rooms.
I might do it on a big sheet of paper or a wipeboard otherwise the kid might forget you shouldn’t write on the wall. But it could be a great way of making visual calendars particularly for kids with split house or many extracurricular commitments.
OMG! This was an answer to my travel dilemma. I want to journal while gone for a month and this was a great help!

Ideas no. 5 and 6 are really genius!
I love the bloopers at the end lol
More stickers is NEVER a problem in my household 🎉😂
I said the same, until it was 😂
My problem now - I want those washi tapes and stickers to add to my collection!😂 You guys are sneaky salespeople!😂😂
I like the Washi bobbins and decorating envelopes.

I'm making a wall calendar today!!!
That first tip is fabulous 👌
Thank you for this content! I had not thought of sending the little cards with Washington tape samplers to friends! Great idea!
Great ideas! I might still have problems letting go though. 😔
Use stickers on wooden garden stakes. Add a little decoupage.
stickers make life bearable 🤘🏼
Okay, but HOW do you get your washi so straight along edges of pages and envelopes?🤩I feel like mine always wander! 😂
Delightful. Thank you.
Usually use Washitapes for notes and my mood trackers. And sometimes making mark unto my stuffs
I needed this
Those bloopers at the end made me giggle😂

I don't have a hoarding problem, I have a collection xD
The outro is amazing and yes... I _felt_ every piece of that hahahahahahahaha.
When it comes to stickers, it's not a "problem", it's just HOARDING YEAAAAAH :D
Sometimes i use washi tape to separate journal entries. It's best if the tape actually stays though, otherwise you'll get pages stuck together constantly!
jetpens my beloved 🥺

Ill have to do collage for 3 days straight to get rid of a fraction of what I have...and I wanna buy more...
I really needed this-
How creative
I love these and Stephanie!! Hello!
How about how to get stickers of the clear plastic sheet. I’m ready to toss all mine as I can’t get stickers off the sheet😢
Great ideas!!! ❤
Awesome ❤
Hahaha, the thumbnail reminds me of Sabina in Charlie's Angels (2019) "more money more problems", "more money more horses".
"more money more sticker" is a fit too 😂😂😂
What was the washi dispenser we say in the 'create washi cards' section?
Those were the mt Maki Maki Mini Tape Roll Maker and Kokuyo Bobbin Washi Tape Mini Roll Maker!

Yay!
I turn my stickers into magnets. This way, they never get thrown away and they are now helpful.
I use my washi tape for my journals
3:54 Is that rare footage of Videographer-san's head, or is Stephanie cosplaying her?
"Just give them the whole roll at that point" 😂
genuinely I only bought washi tape to divide my notes because I'm tired of my shaky hands messing up drawn lines.
I have stickers collected in the past but never used them cause i felt wasteful to use it. So I never buy any sticker since long cause I'll probably never use them and a waste of money. The Kanmido Maco Washi Tape Pen Holder is my favorite!!! I wish you guys sold it.
We'll be selling it soon! :)
@@JetPens Yayy! I had to buy them off Etsy a few years ago. They're the best in terms of portability in a pen case. 🤩
Thank you cause the amount of tapes and stickers I have is overwhelming and I don't want to use them
Can I ask what's that washi tape cutter thing used? (1.37 mins)
It said Kokuyo Karu Cut Washi Tape Cutter. You can look in the description for the link to everything they feature.
Nice
If I have that many, I wouldn't use them up. I'd hoard them like my life depends on it!🤣
Nice >>>>>>>> Thank you
LOL~ make it their problem🤣🤣🤣
When they first started talking their speech lined up with the beat of the background music and i thought they were gonna start rapping

You can do the most chaotic thing i did, first place some stickers on your page and then just write around it
I would love to find penfriends to exchange washi with. No luck yet.
Me turning into Bilbo with the ring of power when thinking about gifting and giving away my washi and stickers 😅
I feel personally targeted due to this video...don't mind me and my 17 boxes of stickers and 6 boxes of washi tape...👀
Alr that's too many gimme some '_'
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE "Sied 🐬.
Me, watching this as if I had any intention of using them, because “why if I run out!!”: very interesting 🤔
Would you say 1000+ washi tapes is too many? 🤔
Only you can answer that. ;)
I got 99 problems but a sticker ain’t one.
I hide my washi tape away because my cat is always stealing them.
Idk why I watched this video when I need the absolute opposite-
I need a "how to horde more stickers" video
I NEED MORE STICKERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
😭😭😭😭😭😭
No such thing as too much
*feeling called out by this video* who...who you guys been talking to? 🫨 HOW DID YOU KNOW
