OMG, I cant believe I could find this, I am from El Salvador and I just had a blurry memory about this cartoon, I was just a child when I saw it. Thank you very much.
Part of a 5 some of Readers Digest specials that usually aired at Christmas in Canada.. Along with "The Happy Prince", "The Selfish Giant", "The Little Mermaid", & the partially live action "the Christmas Messenger"
Holy shit, I can’t believe I accidentally stumbled across this. I was trying to talk to my sisters about this but they didn’t know what I was talking about
That is amazing, but unfortunately not likely to see Christian movies anymore on secular channels and especially on the Disney Channel. As to how this even got on the Disney Channel is unknown to me, because I do not think that the Remarkable Rocket or the Selfish Giant has any affiliation with Disney and has more in common with Oscar Wilde's writings than Disney as well.
another much-loved animation from Reader's Digest. The sheer number of amusing accents in this show endears this to me, we used to imitate it when we were young. Memories.
I have been trying to find this and the selfish giant cartoon for years!!! I had this on VHS and then it disappeared. I used to watch this all the time. I loved this as a child
here's another film like this, same makers, but I don't know what it's called. had two poor kids in the snow in some village, can't remember what it was about. anyone know?
Maybe The Happy Prince, ( poor children in the snow) , or The Selfish Giant...sad little children....Giant in an everlasting winter......this guy knows all of them below......I remember them all the only one not to make you cry is The Christmas Messenger... Yes, it was called "The Selfish Giant". That video is also on UA-cam.
The Selfish Giant - Oscar Wilde
1975
RakettiMies
The remarkable rocket suppose to be Oscar Wilde face?
The face looks a lot more like Peter Kay
Robert Morley--who played Wilde in 1960. They changed the nose a bit.
Is that Michael Mills' Animated Film?
Actually this video has many bugs
yaaa I don't like it
1975
is it me or does the remarkable rocket look very much like peter kaye?
Jay Powell has a Remarkable Rocket - it's our economy.
