Brian is definitely someone I would enjoy being in a caravan with...I will be starting my journey in about a year from now...I don't know a lot, so what better place to learn it and feel comfortable with like-minded people too...great place to make lifelong friends too, I'd think.

I have no idea how to find a caravan, I've spent so much time figuring out the tt! I am looking forward to figuring it out. :)

You have many devoted fans Brian. All of us have been waiting to hear from you. I did watch your conversation with Bob Wells a few days ago. I appreciate how your introversion challenges you and greatly respect your efforts with the caravan that puts you up against that. Of course, I said when you were reflecting one what your future might be, that connecting with Bob would make perfect sense. He's been doing great work for this community for years. He brings the same no nonsense, respectful approach to this life that you've always demonstrated. I could imagine a long, fruitful friendship for the two of you. Enjoy your time in the desert with your new circle of friends Brian and when possible, give us a window into your world. Much appreciated. My guess is your subscription base will grow dramatically through this exposure. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Thank you for showing what the caravan looks like. You are all spread apart so there is privacy for everyone, yet a central meeting spot when people want to get together. I just love that. I am so glad you agreed to do this.

Glad you are doing well and are sharing your experience and good vibes with people who are new to this kind of adventure.
It's wonderful that you are willing to do this for a caravan (and that Bob set them up and picked someone like you to be a group "leader" for lack of a better word).
I think the best way to ensure that the new people who are trying out this kind of life are respectful of the land, each other, and themselves is to have good role models available for them who demonstrate how to live in a way that is healthy and helps them be happy.
I hope you continue enjoying the experience and that this type of thing is something you consider continuing to do as time goes on.

Hi again Brian ~ It's great to see what the Caravan is like. I watched a lot of the 2019 RTR and have been following CheapRVLiving for about 2 1/2 years. I'm glad I found your videos. Your van is really a nice blend of practical and attractive. I enjoy your positive videos. Thank you for the desert scenes. 😊

I am so glad your no drama adventures are back. I have been wondering if you were coming back. Bob made a good pick with you to do caravan's. Enjoy!

    • @cantecleer
      @cantecleer 6 років тому +18

      He made a great pick!
During the recent livestream on Bob's channel where he had Brian on, you could tell there is a strong mutual respect and that both of them are on the same wavelength when it comes to their general philosophies about life and this lifestyle.
Brian's answers to a lot of questions were great and Bob added excellent insights as well. They are a good team and I think it's awesome they are working together.
There are sadly too many YT van-dwelling channels that get caught up in drama and "reality TV" type antics and I'm very glad Bob picked one of the few people to head a caravan who DOESN'T fall into that drama trap.

Thanks for that little glimpse into the caravan Brian. It looks like a fun event and informative. I like that u respected everyone's privacy too as I presume a lot of newbies and camera shy individuals. That camo rig looked cool! Love the communal campfire, seems safer too than having to check everyone's site each nite. Food looked yummy! I'm amazed at the community of selfless ppl in this lifestyle! Have lived in our current neighborhood going on 16 years and only 1x been invited into someone's yard for a fire. I had the 1st cpl years a nice neighbor but as the market has been most are renters now so no personal investment in to ones neighbors. It can be good too, as in privacy. LOL I feel so stuck here, can't wait for our next chapter in a few years. All in the planning right now but it's soo hard to wait! I think the caravans will definitely make it less scary starting out and making connections. I hope they will still be going on. Glad u have been able to slow down a little bit! Safe travels to all and God bless!😊

I've been watching a bunch of your videos from 2016 and today seem to be watching more current ones. (I let UA-cam pick for me.) So cool to see your upgrades - the new shower set-up is dope. Very cool indeed. I use my rainfly to help hold in the warmth while I dry & dress. Otherwise by the time I finish,I'm cold again. On hot days of course it's not necessary & the shower tent dries faster without it.

Hey Brian. The second spot looks a little desolate! ...but maybe I will get used to that in the future for myself. And with the company it doesn't matter, right? Hope you're enjoying it. Thanks for the shower tour! Fancy heating system! I plan to force myself to be super water conserving by starting with spray bottles, but that privacy tent sure could come in handy even with that, and nice to stand up outside.

Ain't it the truth! "GOODBYE, SOUTH DAKOTA, HELLO KANSAS!" Brian is one of the few salt-of-the-earth guys out there doing a nomad channel. He's a breath of fresh air. I know there's a buck or two to be made on UA-cam, but, hey, let's face it: I've watched thousands getting ready to go out full-time ... and don't you just weary of all the ones offering "The 10 Ways To ..." or "5 Things Newbies" or ... it goes on and on with everyone doing the same thing ... so we can generate that almighty video for the ALMIGHTIER dollar!

Brian that is so sweet of you to lead a caravan...what made you want to do this? I think it is fantastic that these people are gathering together like this and learning from one another and helping each other become knowledgeable and independent RVers. It's so good that Brian knows all these things. I have always made friends easily, no matter where my late hubby was stationed...we loved the military life, because of that...but, even now as a "civilian"...I still enjoy meeting new people and making new friends and I love diversity...I love it that we are all different and learning from one another can make such a difference in our own lives...being different allows us to learn something new...as adults, we all should be able to get along with one another and make friends and travel together...I am 70 now and I have lived alone now for the last 25+ years since my hubby passed away...the biggest obstacle for me would be the fact that all of the people I once knew as friends, have all passed away now...it can be very lonely at times...but, I can always find something to occupy my time with...thank goodness. I so look forward to this...most of all to socialize with others...and make new friends...thank you Brian for taking such an awesome and I'm sure busy job in leading and helping people who are first starting out.😊🚐🚌One more thing, Brian...how can I help you out? You are volunteering to do this...what would help you out, personally?? I would love nothing better than to return your awesome deeds with something that would make your life easier and more enjoyable. Stay safe and happy travels too!! I subbed too...
