- We're on Day 2 of learning more Slayer! Now that the dust has settled from my first impressions, I've started to notice some more notable changes made to Slayer between Xrd and Strive that, for the most part, nerfed him greatly. I talk a bit about this while playing some more online ranked matches!

Arc System Works (Arcsys) has recently made Guilty Gear Strive, the latest entry in the Guilty Gear franchise! Hottest take: slayer shouldn't be in strive. He's made for the previous Xrd and plus R versions of guilty gear, a lot of recent characters were built for them but dont work well with strives mechanics and systems.
I don't think Arc Sys and Team Red fully know what they want from strive and are just pulling popular and high demand characters into game without really knowing what made them popular or how to make them truly work in strive, which is why we've been getting over or undertuned characters as of late.
You say Slayer got done dirty while he has most of his gameplan intact and everything that made him fun (pilebunker loops), meanwhile Elphelt got shafted from her unique pineberry pressure/combos to become shotgun the character

try mashing 2h after blocked testament 2s/fs, it forces a favorable rps for you unless stain is applied

- Idle animation no longer show him smoking through his pipe.
- Strive's Slayer Pile bunker now look like Terry's buster wolf for no reason whatsoever
- He doesn't adjust his tie after doing the move.
- He funny smoke Into trip grab has been replaced with a generic grab.

So far each character has gotten a new move to the series and not returning moves. I'd guess Ky will be the same so probably no greed sever
