Ordered overnight and immediately began this morning and it helped my MS brain a LOT! Couldn't believe was positive on ketone strips.
I did keto in past, just never used this cause fasted a lot.
This is different. After watching her AZ video I'm like oookay maybe.
Maybe nothing. That stuff did amazing things in hours. Brain feels more relaxed and calm.
    Everything down 50% poof!
Now for AZ moms and hopefully..... take what you can get.

Very good explanation! My mom has been experiencing dementia for last 6 yrs without much knowledge and now it's more visible at 78 yrs. Buying MCT oil and guess she can take it along with milk thistle without stomach upsets as she has a upset stomach always.
Trying to understand more about alziemers and dementia.
Greatest problem we are facing is my mom is rejecting medicines at present

Thank you, Dr. Bosworth for all you do. A Ketogenic Diet saved my life! I read your book, followed the same protocol your mother did, staved off chemotherapy for years, BUT my spleen couldn't keep up with all the Leukemia Cells that I killed, became massively enlarged ~ 22cm X 10cm... BUT I survived chemo, my spleen normalized at 4Xs normal, WBCs are coming back~SLOWLY.

Been following her since the keto journey began in 2019, diving back in now to this awesome advanced stuff, wow.
I'm sold on that stuff, and that was just 3-4 tsp spread through day, want more! Seriously lol. I KNOW my jacked up MS brain, good days bad days, yesterday was so bad, had to have one kid pick the other kid up from school.
That's when I ordered the big bottle c8/10 overnight and today was out shopping, picked kid up blah blah.
Call it at 80% level from maybe 20 yesterday. Game changer and I've had MS 20 years so you *know*.
Still in love with mct oil. Gawd.

I held it in when I would get the urge to run to the bathroom. I haven’t had to hold it in again. The first couple weeks I was in the bathroom (diarrhea) a lot. I got tired of it and challenged myself (on the treadmill) to hold it and amazingly enough it solved the problem.

Yes. Please warn your subscribers that they must be careful to incorporate mct in a titered dose. After only 1+ teaspoon of mct in coffee I immediately (15 min or so) got stomach cramps that progressed to diarrhea and vomiting. I also experience cold sweats and hot flashes. It was not a pleasant experience. It lasted for more than an hour before the reaction disipated. Everyone should be warned LOUDLY that they might experience these unfortunate side effects.

    • @goldstar846
      @goldstar846 2 роки тому +3

yeah I came at it nude and early in the process too...had the worst stomach cramps in my life outside child birth. 1 teaspoon on a empty stomach it was horrid!
But 6 months into keto IF and supporting my leaky gut and detoxed hard. I now enjoy half a teaspoon of MCT oil in my coffees everyday. No side effects.
A tip for beginners....get yourself a little cordless froth stick and really work the mct oil into the black coffee. Think that emulsification helps alot.

Hey doc, I tried the MCT Oil and couldn't handle it. I started taking it slow with 1 tsp. in morning coffee for a few mornings. Didn't experience any difficulties until moved up to 1 TBSP. a day in my morning coffee. After a couple of days I began to get lower abdominal cramping and thinking it was constipation I stimulated the plumbing with Metamucil and stool softeners. Never got a normal B.M. I kept waiting for my system to adjust but it never did. The cramping was constant and only got worse. I had to totally drop off the MCT oil and eventually but the cramping didn't begin to subside until I gave up on Keto which I hated to do. It took a while but things finally got back to almost normal (I think). I was noticing improvements and rapid weight loss and other than the constant cramping, feeling better. The lower abdominal cramping just got to be too much. I dropped off the MCT oil first and thought I'd just stay on Keto and quit messing with the oil but the cramping didn't stop. After a few days I got off the Keto program all together. I was really doing good too, keeping the diet below 20 carbs a day too, even got to 18 hrs between meals as I tried to implement your suggested fasting. By the way, that's hard to do but I was managing to do it..
So the long and short of it is that I agree to the effectiveness of the keto program and the MCT oil as a great stimulant for some younger folks but I must be one of those people that simply can't take it. By the way I'm going to be turning 80 in a month or two and perhaps its the old plumbing simply not being geared up for keto or maybe it's the MCT oil. After so many years of high carb low cal. eating and abstaining from fats it was sure nice to eat bacon and eggs again after years of oat meal and low fat this and that. Really thought I was on to something though, even though the diet was short lived. Never got to the point of feeling "brains improvement" but got into some pants I'd bought years ago and the energy I had was amazing and a lot of the aches and pains seemed to have subsided or disappeared. I'd hoped to get the weight off so my B.P. would go down since meds I've been taking for years had never been effective in stabilizing me into the normal range. For me 145/ 90 or higher is normal with a heart rate of 50. I've always worried about a heart attack or stroke since my doctor told me I'm in the "morbidly obese" category. Anyway I appreciate your videos. They've been very informative but I was never able to convince my wife that the Keto diet or MCT oil was safe.

I’m 78 and just started on Carnivore. I used to suffer from cramps on Keto until I started taking electrolytes. I made it myself from potassium, magnesium and salt using a UA-cam video from Mary’s Nest. I just take about a quarter of a teaspoon per day in water.

so i hear the explanations about triglycerides, and do believe your findings, but in all the information you give i don't hear much being said about the adverse effects?? this is serious!!, i have followed the advice for bulletproof coffee, easy enough, mixed beautifully, tasted great, but as it hit my stomach i felt a very strange sensation, first like tingling, than more like a mild shock, than mild pain. in less than an hour i was stuck to the toilet, and stayed that way for 2 days. and after reading more on the subject i find this to be normal, many of us cannot tolerate the MCT oil, yet no one tells this little spoken about really bad side effect, i was lucky to be at home when my attacks hit.

I’m missing “when” or what situations do we use this? Does it help our bodies burn off our fat stores?

    • @drakedorosh9332
      @drakedorosh9332 3 роки тому +10

The situation is that you have committed to a very low carbohydrate diet and you are on a fast. Maybe your heart feels like a butterfly and you're craving sugar. You use a very small amount of oil because it feeds you without spiking your blood sugar and because it can be metabolized without digestion like glucose is. Hopefully once your cells use up this small amount they somehow request more and this comes from your body's fats instead. Once your body is running on stored fat your mind clears and you don't experience hunger.

MTC oil increased my triglycerides: my blood triglycerides were consistently in the low 50s to low 60s.
Once I added MTC oil to my coffee for 8 weeks it went up to 84. Never saw this this number in my lipid panel before. My ketones were at desirable level: 0.8 to 1 ish first thing in the morning and over 2 before my lunch
From the atherosclerosis stand point, butter, fat (even with organic grass fed ), MTC oil are not helpful.
Dr Peter Attia had a lot of info in his podcasts regarding high LDC cholesterol: even if one has perfect insulin sensitivity thanks to ketogenic diet, but their total cholesterol measured by APO B is high, their ASVD risk is not reduced. They either should get off the diet or get on statin.
I like ketogenic and fasting. It helps to up my healthy living life style but seems like I encountered a road block with cholesterol issues

I think of taking Ketones in a can / MCT oil / Coconut oil as taking in Dietary fats (ketones) that restart the fat metabolism pathway. Once that is restarted, when your blood sugar drops low, your body can burn your fat reserves. With restarting the fat metabolism pathway, you would get hungry and low on energy from lack of carbohydrates, and could even fall into diabetic ketoacidosis due to lack of carbs and die. So basically, this would cure you of diabetic ketoacidosis.

I wonder what her specialty was before she saw the Gold in Keto was she OBGYN? When Atkins wrote his book in the 1960s everybody called him an outlier now we have Chiropractors and "holistic" doctors and plastic surgeons and everybody calling themselves doctor giving advice and pushing snake oil. The spice tumeric you can buy for less than $5 in the plastic surgeon from India $49.95 in his KETO MCT Marketing video So oil that used to cost $5.00 is now $20 So I even get DEI PA (Physicians Assistant) at the veterans administration repeating the lies from the internet because anyone everyone is now a doctor and losing weight will nt work unless it is KETO and KETO will not work unless you have organic MCT and forget that HORSESHIT is also ORGANIC. But they forget that ATKINS warned us about food processed food when it started becoming fast and unheathy in the 1950s 1960s with the scientists who gave us Atomic energy and Radium and now ORGAnic!

      K. DV - how is it fraud, how is it criminal? Is there a law that’s been broken? “Killed a lot of people” - where did that come from?

No, I just rewatched it two more times, and I’m pretty sure she said it comes from coconuts both times. If she’s selling relabeled snake oil as an oil derived from coconuts, that’s just wrong.

Beating a dead horse? Please be more conscious in your choice of words. I also heard you say skin a cat in another video. UGHHHHH, your information is good, but saying such terms is low vibration. Do you not love animals? Please reconsider. I'm regretting purchasing your book, as I can't support you if this is how you walk in the world.

I guess since we are splitting hares here....suppose you’re not here to better yourself only to ridicule the expert. Go on then....

This negative comment is unnecessary. Dr Boz strives to educate her listeners by presenting the science in layman’s terms. These shorter videos are often pieces of her longer live videos where editing is not possible. Have you ever tried producing a live show? Probably not, huh? Observe other videos on UA-cam that are not live - Dr Ken Berry and others You will see that they are highly edited. It’s easier to be eloquent in edited videos. Dr Boz is awesome so please stop the negativity.
