You have drilled the holes out, now just glue a dowel in there. It will last with no problem. Trust me on this one, I have been doing carpentry for over sixty years.
Drill out hole to 6mm or same size as a wood dowel. Glue in a wood dowel with wood glue. Cut flush. Use the other half of the dowel for the second hole. Cut flush. Screw into dowel to fix hinge. Stronger fix than original into chipboard. Job done. Simples. Wife happy because I've not wasted her baking foil.
Seems like an pretty convoluted way to do the same that you could achieve with a dowel and wood glue (which is how presumably even a
I love how he learned his lesson, after over tightening the second screw in the tin foil, we went really slow when screwing into the hot glue.
I usually fill any stripped hole with toothpicks coated with a little bit of wood glue. Some people have suggested match sticks, but they tend to be kind of thick. Toothpicks are thin and tapered, so you can really jam them in tight and break them off at the surface.
I use hard wood dowel, glued in place with gorilla glue and predrill a pilot. Works like a champ on all wood repairs, hinge and strike screw repairs as well. You never return, it’s that good.

Be careful when using a dental pick and superglue- I was rubbing down a reinforcement on a model airplane, and the pick threw a drop of superglue right in the center of my eye. It cured before I could blink, so it didn't glue my eyelid down, but boy did that sting for a few days!
Excellent video. I have this problem and have been waiting for a tutorial on how to repair it
Thank you for sharing how to fix the cabinet door hinges. This is very helpful!
Saw dust and wood glue are a great combo for this.
I fixed our fridge door handle with Araldite (epoxy) and tinfoil composite.. Its lasted about five years so far.. Covering breaks with glued tinfoil makes the fix really strong.

From France, thank you for your workouts, advices, and the video format 👌💪🏿

You can avoid these problems by (A) NOT using power tool to tighten these screws in the first place and (B) not making cabinet doors out of particle board.
50-year old carpenter's head literally explodes with amazement as the same 50-year old carpenter just fills a hole with something and drills into it! WOW!
This is a brilliant idea. Thank you for sharing.
I'm happy to see the square trick for aligning the hardware!
