I bought the Pat Mcgrath because your mum loved it.. I also bought the Lancome to try.. now I'm curious what your mum says about the Lancome. (I'm much closer to her age than yours) ❤
I bought this together with the Teint Idole stick foundation about 10 days ago. Absolutely love both of them, thank you Gemma for reviewing the foundation recently. At 68 my skin is good but I have dark under eyes as well as hollows. Nothing makes them look perfect but this concealer is definitely the best I've tried. It looks natural, doesn't crease into lines (that's a first!) and still looks good when I take it off. I do lightly powder because I get panda eyes with most mascaras but it doesn't look dry. Amazing 😍
@@maryrose7842 I've tried it with and without, and I do think for me it's better with. Only recently got into colour correction, using Pixi peach colour, and I have to admit it makes a difference to just using concealer. Having said that I genuinely think this concealer is good on its own. Surprised me actually because it's quite thin in texture compared to others I've used.
@@maryrose7842 I hope you like it as much as I do. I'm almost afraid to NOT use it now lol. If you're ready for a new corrector, or like to have a backup, Pixi is a third off in Boots at minute. I bought a backup yesterday, less than £10. Love a bargain! 😀
I've been using the Teinte Idole concealer for a few weeks. I LOVE it on my 71 yr old undereyes!! I don't set concealer with powder because it dries out my undereyes more than they already are. So happy this doesn't need setting. My undereyes don't look as crepey as they can with other concealers. I'm beyond thrilled to have found this concealer! So happy that you like it. I do think your Mum will too!!
I picked this up last weekend and it has risen to the level of my new holy grail concealer!! My experience as someone over 40 with normal to dry skin has been precisely as you described in your video. My search for the PERFECT concealer is finally over! 😍
This is the best Concealer I have ever tried. Fabulous product for over 40’s. It also beats all my foundations used all over, such a stunning look and it lasts :)
This is absolutely the best concealer for my over 60 skin. So exciting to have found something that finally works for me. No creasing, no caring, no lines just full seamless coverage. Love it. 💘
I first saw this on Stephanie Marie’s channel and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m over 50 and generally concealer-challenged, but this one works for me like magic-and I apply with my fingers, too. Love it! Glad you do, too.
I bought the Lancôme concealer after Angie said she had found her perfect concealer. You are right about getting the right color but I have finally found the one. I have the PM concealer but I think I like this one better because it is lighter and you can layer it if needed. Believe me when you are 79 you have lines under your eyes, but this seems to move as I move. Great find! Thanks 😊
This product cakes under my eyes. I’m 53, a little dry, some lines. I was sooo sad because all of you incredible older women have LOVED IT. BUT, I do love it on my face to conceal hyperpigmentation on my face. It looks BEAUTIFUL under my foundation! 🥰👏
Ugh - that's disappointing to hear! The one thing that has helped me with that (I haven't tried this concealer, but generally with concealer) is the Bobbi Brown under eye primer - released in the last few years, comes in a jar.
@@JLeigh75309 ive been trying this for 2 days. It does not cover my darkness under eye. Even tho darkness is not that bad. Back to my nars soft matte….
I so wanted this to be my holy grail, however, it wasn’t the case. It settled in my under eye lines I am 71 year old. Also, I agree with you, the doe foot applicator is hard to remove and it did splatter on things. Just my experience.
I wanted to love this but it looks terrible on me. It settled even with good under eye primer...tried several different ones. So it settles in my lines and looks dry.
I just tried the Lancôme concealer and am in love with it’s coverage and natural look! I wear very little foundation, so this might be my all over look in one shade darker.
This 57 year old LOVES this concealer. You are right, better to go in store and get the right color. I sometimes set it with Pat McGrath, sometimes but it depends on the day, the weather, etc. I think your Mum will love it too! Thanks, Gemma - great video. Stay safe and well.
I bought this and LOVE it. No creases on my 62 yo under eyes. I had purchased the Pat McGrath when you first reviewed it. I found it dry and it creased easily on me.
Glad you love ❤️ it!! I’m the lightest shade…thought the 110 C was it, but weirdly it seemed slightly warm…i think I’m going with the 90 N…….see how that goes. I’m in 🇨🇦 Canada….
Everyone’s raving about the Lancôme, so I’m buying one tomorrow! I’ve been using Maybelline Eraser which is really good on me, but I hate that giant ball sponge applicator on the bottle, I’d rather have a tiny wand
Received my teint idol last week. Purchased the same shade as you… (skin twins). I was thinking it may be a bit dark for me, however I don’t like a brighter / lighter under eye, as well. I’m experimenting with it… will try fingers for better application. Thanks for the review! 😉
I bought this stuff a couple days ago and am really enjoying it! Today I used it all over for a sheer look. I LOVED it! I usually go one shade darker than Gemma. I bought buff neutral 215 (USA). It is the perfect shade for me. Yay!!!!!
@@christinaluna713 thanks i couldn’t find any comparisons online. I use PmG on my face as well for more coverage. The only other one i have right now is kosas 1, i think 2 was too dark but since it’s hydrating it will deepen when you set so one works well.
I was on the fence but you have convinced me to try this as soon as my current concealer runs out. Thank you for being so through with your review. It really helps me understand a product and decide if it is for me or not. I have a tight budget and you have helped me save from buying a dud so many times! ❤️
Dear Gemma you are the best: I do love your videos. You are always so honest and you also have this nice ability to communicate as if you were my best friend. I can't wait to try this Lancome concealer!
Thanks for this review. I have used Teint Idole foundation since it’s invention, and the effacerne concealer. This looks like a good option for covering imperfections as well as under eyes.
Thanks Gemma! I would love to hear your Mum’s opinion also. It is my favorite concealer and I’ve tried many. Haven’t tried Pat McGrath because I noticed it has alcohol listed as an ingredient.
Have been looking at this one and now im definitely going to buy after seeing your review.Unfortunately the Pat McGrath was very drying on me ,excited to try this one ! Thanks Gemma 👍
I've never had the best luck with concealers but I took a chance and bought this. I love it! I agree with you..it's tricky removing the doe foot applicator. Thanks for the very thorough review. Gemma, you look stunning as always. XXOO❤
Thank you Gemma, another great review :) I haven't tried this Lancome concealer, I'm quite happy with the Maybelline Fit Me. L'oreal owns Maybelline & Lancome, I would say the only difference in the products would be the packaging... both of these cosmetics would probably be similiar in formulas. The drugstore products are much easier on our wallets, Lol :)
I love it! The Pat McGrath is great, too - but it does settle into the fine lines and tends to crease, a bit. I heard that this one would not do that and, quite frankly, I didn’t believe the hype… until I tried it! It’s definitely made a believer out of me. It’s an extra stroke of luck that the matching foundation is also the best I’ve ever found (and I’ve tried SO many!!). I feel like I can stop searching for a true favorite, now - in both concealer AND foundation. And I was beginning to wonder if I would EVER be able to say that. Lancôme on my face, Charlotte Tilbury & Wayne Goss on my eyes… And the quest for perfection in blush & bronzer lives on!
I still have some of the MaquiComplet concealer from Lancôme which was discontinued prior to this being released. I’m excited to purchase this when I run out. For now I’m mixing the MaquiComplet and my Pat McGraf because the PM looks too heavy on its own for my tastes.
Appreciate this review very much! Thank you! When we travel this would do as my foundation for a few days. I often do carry on only so space in my liquid bag is at a premium. I’m similar to you in foundation so that gives me a head start in choosing.
Would love to try this but unfortunately Lancôme are not cruelty free and that’s a no no for me. I personally could not use make up that’s been manufactured by a company that has tested its products on animals. Great video Gemma and I’m glad it’s worked so well for you x
I thought this as an all over foundation looked as good if not better than the very expensive cle de peau , you’re skin looked flawless and almost airbrushed, is there a matching foundation? love you wearing a pale lipstick for a change really suits you!
This video was so helpful in choosing a good shade match in this concealer. I've been wearing Tarte Shape Tape for ages because it really smoothed my under eye, but my skin has turned a corner, and sadly, it's now way too dry. I'm looking forward to trying the Lancome Teinte Idole concealer. Yay!
Great review Gemma! Sadly, I couldn't get it to work for me. With or without corrector, it creased horribly by the end of the day. I used the smallest amount and set it with Pat McGrath undereye powder. Darn the luck! 😉
Thanks for this. Really tried to make the Pat McGrath concealer work but I’m closer to your mom’s age and it just isn’t flattering even with the powder. Looking forward to getting the Lancôme as I prefer a more natural under eye look. I should have trusted my no alcohol rule and not purchased the Pat McGrath.
Everybody is raving about this concealer, have to give it a try! Right now I am loving Catrice new Tru Skin foundation and concealer, it has taken American by storm, also the Essence their parent company's Wild Eyeshadow palette, with lovely satin greens browns and rusts, and their bb cream/ moisture tint Pretty something. I like their products, and I don't think they get enough love, especially the Catrice Matt palette, is a delight for anyone over 50!
I’ve just been to Sephora to get a sample of this concealer. Normally I wouldn’t get anything that’s tested on animals however I am so over trying to find a concealer that works for me. So keeping my fingers crossed I love this as much as everyone else seems too. It looked beautiful on your skin
I love this concealer. It is holy grail status for me. My only complaint is that when you pull out the applicator too fast, the product kind of flies out. At 60 years old, I have finally found a way to smooth my under eyes!!
Hi Gemma. Thanks for your video. Do you have any idea re shades? I’m struggling to find a UK colour chart and the shades don’t appear to be in order on line? I tried 110/010 in John Lewis, it was too dark. The only other option was 095/006 but that was too light - are you aware of any shades in between, I can’t tell 🤪x
Another wonderful and informative video! Also I don't find you to ever be boring. I do have a question for you. If I want to use this concealer all over my face. I have fair skin with yellow undertones. I use a foundation in a warm tone. I want to use a lighter concealer under my eye with a slightly pink undertone. What color do you suggest I get? At the moment I can't afford to buy two different shades. Again thanks for all of your great advice.
Gemma, which Pat McGrath concealer shade is similar or lighter but also pinkier? I've tried to figure it out on the website but can't. I have a similar skintone to yours, perhaps a bit lighter. Like you, although I favor neutral-to-warm foundations I look better in a cooler hue around the eyes. For some reason it looks more natural. There's no full line PML display near me, and even if they were they're not allowing swatching yet. Patience and reviewers like you are a big help.
Just bought the Lancome concealer, now I want to try the Pat M too. What brushes are you using for the Pat M concealer application and the Lancome all over application ? Thanks so much for a great detailed review.
So pleased you have done a review on this and I will purchase. I was hoping you would review alongside the foundation stick as your review was quite brief on that and wasn't a wear test. Did you try the other shade of the stick as I am a possible shade twin but used to buy the liquid foundation in beige alabatre and not sure in the stick format.
Bought this today on the back of your review!!! Cannot wait to try it. I've been hooked on the fenty eye brightener all summer but I think this might be my new fave as we have similar skin types and are the same age 😁 will report back!
How on earth did you find a shade match 😭😭 it’s so confusing online and when I went in store even the lightest they had was too dark. I’m so confused 😐 I’ve ordered 006 in the hope it’s a match!
Hey Gemma! Would you consider trying the new Estée Lauder Double Wear Sheer foundation? Would love to know tour thoughts on it. Thanks for the awesome review! Will have to try this one. 😍✨
I’m so so so SO happy you’re in love with a concealer that I can walk into a shop and purchase in New Zealand (well, I could if we weren’t in lockdown but you know what I mean!). So excited to get colour matched and try this 💕 Love Charlotte Tilbury and Pat McGrath products but very hard to get here unfortunately. Love your videos so much x
This is very helpful. Can you tell me which color I need if I am nw20 in mac pro longwear and vanilla in nars creamy radiant concealer? I tried to find my match in foundation matrix and had no secsess. This concealer look gorgeous on you. 🥰
I bought this about a week ago and I do like how it dries down and stretches, as you described. Unfortunately it doesn’t give enough coverage for my liking as I have atomic dark circles 😩. If the coverage was just a touch more full, it would be my favourite for sure. I feel like I still get better coverage from Maybelline Fit Me or Age Rewind, even though they crease a bit.
I have the Lancôme camo concealer-the old formula of this concealer-and I don’t care for the low coverage it gives. Is this one much different in that regard? How is this formula different? I don’t really want to spend $44 to try this one if I’m not in love of the old formula unless it’s significantly better.
Hi Gemma; I am so glad you did this video as I have saw this going around other vlogs and it seems really popular but I am very glad you tried it as I know how much you love path McGrath concealer so the fact you love this makes me want to go buy it now. Will be buying on this weekend for sure at the store thanks 😊 x
Another example that everyone's skin is different. I NEVER have to powder the Pat McGrath concealer. No creasing, no powder needed 🤷♀️. Compared to the Kosas concealer (which you recommended) ... Is this Lancôme one better? Love, hugs and kisses 😘
I'm dying to try the lancome and the Pat McGrath but unfortunately my funds do not allow me to get them so I'm living vicariously through you all, lol.
I love it! also went with the 010 shade. Had to ask the Lancome Rep at the counter if they had it in stock - she didn't have it displayed and knew nothing about the launch of this product but soon realised it was in her latest stock delivery that she hadn't unpacked. Surprised that Lancome are not shouting this from the rooftops or at least briefing their representatives! Came away with a purchase eventually! Advised her to watch your review.
This was exclusive to boots on first launch. I’m also surprised their reps hadn’t been informed and also trained in the new formula. That’s disappointing. Glad you got it eventually xxx
Hi Gemma. After many many years of searching, I recently found my holy grail base product NYX Bare with me tinted skin veil. It's now discontinued and I'm devastated. I know that your mum was a big fan of this. I wonder if you know of any products that are similar? I'm so sick of wasting money on products that don't work for me. Any suggestions will be appreciated! Xxx
Looks really good. Especially if there's no powder needed under the eye! May have to go to a department store and treat myself to one. Shame Debenhams have closed down! Soph.x
@@PamperedWolfThanks. Need to go to a big Boots though. Only have little ones around me. Got a department store called Fenwick not far away. They may have it. X
Thanks for the review, looking forward to checking this concealer out. Loving your natural look in this video, are you wearing foundation? Or the concealer? Also, how did you find the concealer under a mask if worn over the face. Thanks
This has really piqued my interest, however, I have never liked concealer on me. If it draws attention to my under eyes it's not good. Have you tried the Lancome Stick Foundation? *that is in my cart👍 Seeing good things about it. ps) LOVE this natural look on You! And the way you say "bottle" 😁
Hey Gemma, thanks for the recommendation! Am going to try the matching foundation with it and im your shade twin 👯♂️, what shade are you in the ultra wear foundation??
Unfortunately, my tried and true Maquicomplet and Effacernes shade wasn't carried over into the new line. The new 110 Ivoirie Cool is too dark on me, so I'm waiting and hoping Lancome expands its shade range.
Back in lockdown here in Oz and your videos give me some joy. Not sure if this is available here yet but I’ve just finished my old concealer so I will be investigating this.
Just the comparison I've been curious about. I heard/read rave reviews on this concealer. I will be waiting as I just picked up the PM 2 months ago, but will try this to compare next time. I love that you can use it as foundation. I will say, at 57, I like the matte finish on the PM because I have bags as well as circles. I find that anything shiny magnifies it. I'd still need to powder. I do still powder with the PM though so it doesn't crease. Gemma, do you think the Lancome offers more coverage than Nars Creamy Radiant?

Just LOVE this and I got mine a shade too light. But it blends so beautifully that I can make it work until I buy a better shade 👌❤
I bought the Pat McGrath concealer. Interested in this but some here in the US didn't give it great reviews.
Great review, flawless make up. Maybe will give this a try, I find the PMc a bit heavy, don’t really get the hype 🤷🏻♀️♥️
Hi Gemma. I would really love if you would review the AYU concealer. Thanks for all your hard work!
Is it any different than the previous version?
Hi really want to try this but shades online aren't clear. Anyone found a decent UK shade list for this concealer? Thanks x
So excited to get colour matched and try this 💕
Love Charlotte Tilbury and Pat McGrath products but very hard to get here unfortunately.
Yes! It is so weird pulling the applicator out of the tube. You are the only one that has mentioned.
Great review - would like to hear your mums opinion 😀
Thank you for the level of detail you gave in this review. Your best (IMHO)
Thanks for the recommendation...I will have to try Lancome's concealer. I love the foundation.
I have the Lancôme camo concealer-the old formula of this concealer-and I don’t care for the low coverage it gives. Is this one much different in that regard? How is this formula different? I don’t really want to spend $44 to try this one if I’m not in love of the old formula unless it’s significantly better.
Everybody seems to love this concealer!
I love it. It’s my new favourite concealer 🥰
Xxx
I’ve already purchased this but not tried as yet….can’t wait now. You look amazing….love the natural look, how do you do your eyes….is there a video?
Yes please do a video on this natural eye look Gemma!
I just bought this after watching someone else liking it and it’s definitely great! I’ve been using the Revolution Pro concealer before.
Looks really good. Especially if there's no powder needed under the eye! May have to go to a department store and treat myself to one. Shame Debenhams have closed down! Soph.x
Boots stock it Soph xxx
@@PamperedWolfThanks. Need to go to a big Boots though. Only have little ones around me. Got a department store called Fenwick not far away. They may have it. X
Thanks for the review, looking forward to checking this concealer out. Loving your natural look in this video, are you wearing foundation? Or the concealer? Also, how did you find the concealer under a mask if worn over the face.
Thanks
This has really piqued my interest, however, I have never liked concealer on me. If it draws attention to my under eyes it's not good.
Have you tried the Lancome Stick Foundation? *that is in my cart👍
Seeing good things about it.
ps) LOVE this natural look on You!
And the way you say "bottle" 😁
I love this makeup look you have on here it is stunning, I've never tried this concealer I have only ever used the waterproof effacernes by Lancome
How do you like the effacernes? I’ve not tried that one, but have thought about it - especially during allergy season, with my forever watery eyes!
@@christinaluna713 that's why I use it as well, I suffer from seasonal allergies. I love the concealer. So lightweight but has great coverage.
Hey Gemma, thanks for the recommendation! Am going to try the matching foundation with it and im your shade twin 👯♂️, what shade are you in the ultra wear foundation??
I bought a neutral shade and its on the yellow side-just fyi! Definitely need a cool shade for my skin tone
So glad to be a little sparkle in the darkness. Hope you stay safe and we’ll xxx
@@PamperedWolf so nice of you to reply! That made my day. Thankyou dear one.
Would love to try but the lightest shade is like a shade or 2 too light for me 😥😥
Your eyebrows look amazing🤗 maybe you can show how you do them?
Oh also. Your eye makeup is gorgeous today
About the same Lori xxx
Thank you
Can you review Sisley ? I am disappointed b/c I just bought it and saw a couple of videos not praising it. :-(
Such a great review, all my questions are answered.
