The “I can figure this out!”…my brain already hurts” so sums up every project for me. Awesome video and cool dress, good job making instead of just buying!
Wow it's so pretty! It looks like a regency dress, so if you want to dress up like a Jane Austen character or for a Bridgerton party, this works wonderfully!
I will stare at the fabric with the internet dial up tone noise in my head after I have meticulously planned and calculated out my project, so your brain hurting you is entirely normal and very relatable! 😂 Another marvelous and magical creation!
Gorgeous! This dress is so cute. It looks amazing as a modern cottagecore style but would also look great as a Regency or Renaissance outfit. I guess I have 3 more dresses to add to The List
The leaves on the skirt are from the ginko tree. Look it up, they're really beautiful, especially in the fall. I love the idea of a remake it series and the two contrasting colors and/or patterns of fabrics. Keep up the good work! I watch a lot of UA-cam, too. I love Morgan Donner.
The dress looks very pretty, the ginko leaves do look fabulous on your skirt. I like your energy and your enthousiasme in these videos. It motivates me to go back to my sewing machine so thank you!
turned out beautiful and the photo shoot was pure MAGIC!!!! dresses are so intimidating for me. i'm afraid to waist the material. laying out the pattern on our queen bed is a little risky but it saves my body about half the strain. the floor has become very hard to maneuver. i also highly recommend the channel The Stitchery. she is AMAZING!!! LOVED watching you!!!
I love everything about this dress. The ginkco leaves, the color , and the shearing ( sheering?). I want one. Leveling the hem the way you did is how Victorian skirts were done too, it's great when you have undergarments like bustles or bumpads that change your silhouette.
Wow! It's such a beautiful dress! Also, same re: UA-cam. And Morgan Donner. If the project hadn't turned out, I would have had to sub just for the relatability and good vibes. Bonus that the dress is and problem-solving turned out so great, too!
I had no idea that shirring was that easy to do! I agree that adjusting the bodice length would be good. Either longer like you were thinking, or a little bit shorter to bring it up to an empire waistline would look great with the lattice overlay.
Oooooo that lattice!! I'm gonna have to try that sometime soon... I love how yours turned out so much more Reeeenaissance style? Is that what I'm thinking of? Also... I have reveal location envy. XD

Yes! I went in thinking I totally understood how a lattice pattern works bc I've made pie lol. & thank you!

So cute! I want to try this myself... but a Halloween version 😂🤣. Your dress reminds me of a medieval regency crossover. ❤
a halloween version sounds so fun!

you look very pretty in the dress, and very ambitious to try to sew it yourself.
The dress is super cute!! I like the longer lattice.

This dress would look super cool with a landsknecht sort of color pattern!
