Ok we know I’m here for the sewing but YO using the mallet to help get into those tough dang squash is BRILLIANT! I am so doing that next time. The prediced is so much more expensive but dang those beasties are hard to get into!
I recently made the foxglove dress too! I'm a handsewer which I think helped with some of the challenging curves and turns but I absolutely love it and am trying to figure out how many versions of one dress it makes sense to have in my wardrobe. I love the patchwork vibe of yours!
Hahaha not this video popping up on my feed right when I'm filming making my own fall wardrobe garments PERFECT TIMING. I will be watching while I sew!
I was considering the foxglove dress for my next project but I wasn't sure how it would look on me as a plus sized person, I'm delighted that it's in this video and looks so gorgeous on you! Can't wait.
Hearing someone singing about choosing to focus on enjoying the beauty of life with soft sounds of cooking over footage of making soup was exactly what I needed this week. I am exhausted and it is Tuesday, but...now my soul has soup. So calming
omg i love the fact i came for sewing content and walked away with 2 yummy looking recipes i gotta try!!!!!!... and from one fluffy/thicc girl to another i love your channel nothing against the other sewing content creators on here but they all like a size 5 love to see content for girls with bigger body types like my self.. love ur channel girl!!!
wound up watching this video while baking pumpkin pie and the vibes could not have been more spot on. also, might be biased, but im totally in love with the apron, especially as a little over-dress moment!! soooo adorable
I just love your videos! I wasn't sure how I felt about the foxglove dress when you first showed the fabric combo, but it honestly turned out so cute! I love the other dress too, for some reason it gives me Padme vibes when you wear it with the backwards apron haha
all the pieces turned out sooooo cute 😭 loved these 2 videos so much, ill never get tired of the lovely combination of sewing and cooking/baking you do
You've made me super intrigued about shirring (newer subscriber so I've been going through your older videos a lot). To the point where I need to go through my closet to see if I have shirts that need it. I'm just getting into skirts and only have two so far, but dresses aren't off the table. I prefer an empire waist, but I think I can make something that has that look but uses shirring instead of a straight seam. We shall see. Also, that mallet usage is perfect! I've been cooking and baking for 45 years, and have degrees in culinary and baking/pastry arts, not once have I ever thought to do this. None of my instructors or professors did either, I guess. Otherwise my whole classical cuisine class would now be mallet-wielders.
Honestly I subscribed to see how the slip dress turned out and it didn't disappoint! Now I'm staying because I loved your vid- all your projects look amazing can't wait to see more!
the apron was also my favorite, it turned out incredible and you look so cute and aesthetic gliding down the kitchen like an ethereal being, good for you! Your fall wardrobe is amazing. I can't wait to see your next project!
I watched this video when it came out but seeing the dress mixed with a sweatshirt in the more recent video, brought me back and now I can't stop watching this video video. I'm also trapped under a cat in my lap who is preventing me from doing all of the things that I should be doing right now. 😂😂😂
Love your makes! The fall colors are absolutely wonderful. Your soup made me hungry for an easy pumpkin soup recipe I've made before... I watch the Bing Crosby ichabod crane video too. Started watching after i rented it for my sons 30 yrs ago and watched it with their kids a few yrs back. A great little movie.
The apron is my favorite, too. I did love that skirt, though, and would probably have adjusted it and worn it with practically any color sweater! Making squash soup this weekend with my g’kids. 🤎
I loved the foxglove dress with the contrasting fabric, I just feel like I would have put the black in the side gores and the red in the middle maybe, not sure 🤔
I just came upon your page, and I really love the way you format your videos with sewing and making food breaks. There is something so lovely and gentle about it! I truly admire your work! ❤
Once again, I am loving what you do. That orange blouse fit you so perfectly, and I thought it looked fine without the corset. It almost looked like crinkle fabric the way it folded on the arm so perfectly. I liked the apron both ways around, but I think I like it best open in the front.
I love to hear someone geeking out about hand-drawn animation like I love to 🙈🙌🏼 I loved both videos, I just subscribed and am excited to explore your channel! Happy fall! 🍁
I love that you also include some cooking/baking in these too! Since your last video I have made oat milk chai latte about 5 times because you inspired me 🥰
What is your favorite method for elastic? Making channels, or just sewing it directly to the garment? I feel like I prefer the channels but sewing it right on is also so easy. Excuse me! The rubber mallet trick to cut thick/annoying things is going to be my go to! The orange top is sooooo flattering, which when you have a short waist is so freaking hard, also the apron is my fav kind....like I am too messy in the kitchen for a cute little guard your pants only kind😭
hmmmm that's a good question, i think it's a case by case basis for me! & i am WEAK when it comes to chopping so i need the help lol! & thank you SO much (i think the apron might be my favorite just because I'll wear it the most, & like you said full coverage lol)
Me rigth now have like 14 liter of chopped up tomatoes in owen to bake down for the freezer. Use it later for soups and stews and sauces and are like halfway to a tomatoesoup more or less. Have 3 more trays with tomatoes that need to ripen now on kitchen table so no room to eat. But dinner is my own squash fried chips my own potatoes and hot chicken wing if it finelly get done. Chop tomatoes took way longer then planned 😂
Ahhh these all turned out amazing!! I love the sleeves on the orange blouse. Definitely want to try that flip for myself! And that apron 😍 it's perfect, and backward it's giving mori girl vibes! The slip dress looks great on you, very Old Hollywood but make it Autumn (tm).
Ok we know I’m here for the sewing but YO using the mallet to help get into those tough dang squash is BRILLIANT! I am so doing that next time. The prediced is so much more expensive but dang those beasties are hard to get into!
This!! I was like :O genius
Yep stealing that idea.
i was so shook i showed my partner
SAME

AGREED I'm obsessed with this pattern. & hand stitching is a great idea! Too bad i have almost no patience for hand sewing lol
Hahaha not this video popping up on my feed right when I'm filming making my own fall wardrobe garments PERFECT TIMING. I will be watching while I sew!

I just found your channel, and the vibes? Immaculate. Thanks for keeping me company while I got some sewing prep done ☺️

omg thank you, I'm so glad you liked it! & thanks for sticking around!
All 3 are good but the long dress is awesome love it
the apron was also my favorite, it turned out incredible and you look so cute and aesthetic gliding down the kitchen like an ethereal being, good for you! Your fall wardrobe is amazing. I can't wait to see your next project!
Fantastic!! Drop waist is my favorite. Everything is great. Thank you for taking the time to make such delightful content.
You have the coziest content! I hope your channel continues to grow! Love your work!

I have never cooked with figs. I don't know why it never occurred to me that this is some thing you can do at home. 😂
That patchwork dress turned out stunning! It fits you amazingly, you look so good! ❤
They all turned out so cute!
Also, I love the apron over the dress! It's chef's kiss!!
I just recently found you on my UA-cam feed and I’m hooked, just loving how you mix sewing (which I love) with cooking ❤just perfect 👍
The same... What a fab idea! Totally doing that for my next soup. Thanks ❤
Love, love, love the slip dress; it looks amazing on you.
Tuck everlasting the movie left me wanting: the book on the other hand AMAZING!!!
Love your makes! The fall colors are absolutely wonderful. Your soup made me hungry for an easy pumpkin soup recipe I've made before...

The apron is perfect! I’ll be thrifting with that idea in mind. My aprons are in terrible condition after years of service haha
Wow wow wow!! Everything you made turned out so good! 💚
Congratulations on your channel growth. You’re adorable.
Ooh watching this (turning the dress into an apron) I just thought it would be so cool use the cut off sleeves to make pockets for the apron...
Went in for the sewing, subscribed for the mallet!
That apron is gorgeous! Good job on the thrift flip!
Perfect autumn vibes. The apron! I’m in love.
And the bias cut dress looks fantastic, very unique.
Love your makes! And cooking!❤😊
All of these projects turned out so cute!
You are just so clever. Loved all your beautiful outfits. Greetings from Ontario, Canada
Omg I love the dress and apron combo I totally want to add something like that to my wardrobe ❤
I just love your videos ❤ sewing and cooking combo , genius 😊
Everything turned out so pretty🥰
Yay! So happy I subscribed to see part 2. That orange shirt is my absolute fave! But I think I need to make some of the aprons! They’re super cute.
congrats on 5k! loved seeing your outfits!!!
I loved the foxglove dress with the contrasting fabric, I just feel like I would have put the black in the side gores and the red in the middle maybe, not sure 🤔
I love the apron the best.
I just came upon your page, and I really love the way you format your videos with sewing and making food breaks. There is something so lovely and gentle about it! I truly admire your work! ❤
Hi! I'm new here and I'll be staying. I'm not sure if I love your sewing or your cooking more! Your apron is beautiful.
This was so fun to watch!
Once again, I am loving what you do. That orange blouse fit you so perfectly, and I thought it looked fine without the corset. It almost looked like crinkle fabric the way it folded on the arm so perfectly. I liked the apron both ways around, but I think I like it best open in the front.
That dress is gorgeous the brown one and looks incredible on you
I love to hear someone geeking out about hand-drawn animation like I love to 🙈🙌🏼 I loved both videos, I just subscribed and am excited to explore your channel! Happy fall! 🍁
oh good, I'm glad somebody liked my random animation tangent lol! & thank you!
Not me shouting "AWW SO CUTE" at every single piece lol. Thanks for the inspo! I'm eyeing a few pieces in my closet for a flip now 👀
Gorgeous work!! And my favorite The Collection song!!! Immaculate vibes 🙏
I love that you also include some cooking/baking in these too! Since your last video I have made oat milk chai latte about 5 times because you inspired me 🥰

Loved the apron! (Well I loved all the projects…) Never would’ve thought to take an old dress… might have to try that myself🧐
it's my new favorite kind of thrift flip, yes definitely try it out!
i used to eyeball when sewing and i literally made everything XS as a size large... perfect start if you're a pothead lmfao
tuck everlasting Book is soooo much better than the movie!! you should read it :)
Do you have an apron tutorial? I’m sure it’s very simple but I’ve never sown before and I was wondering if it’s a good first project!
YES definitely try out the orange shirt changes! & i had to look up mori girl style, & ur so right!
My kids watch “spooky Mickey” year round lol.
Everything turned out so cute! I'm curious for the slip dress, what type of closure does it have?
No closures, being cut on the bias gives it enough stretch to slip on for most folks
I love the music post who it is ..i cant recognize whose songs
It never occurred to me to use a mallet to cut squash. That's brilliant!
Love the way the slip dress turned out! Big Chappell Roan vibes in the reveal 😊
oooo i didn't even think of that but i LOVE it!
No Zippers? Haven't even watched yet but can confirm I'm excited and invested.
Are the 1980's really considered vintage? That's depressing.
Whats considered midsize nowadays? Numbers please.
