    When I was 15 I asked my parents for a telescope. They decided to get me a TAL-1 and I adored it. Now my wonderful girlfriend has bought me a new scope for Christmas, as she recalls me saying I used to love stargazing as a youngster, always loved astronomy. She is simply amazing & I now have a brand new telescope and set it up. I live in Wales so since Xmas Day we had no cloudless nights. Until this week when I got a stomach bug. Now I'm setting up the Stand etc to my coordinates after finding this channel and video which really simplifies the process and explains the reason why. Great video and have definitely subscribed. The last time I star gazed the internet was not really around so it's brilliant having a community. I can't wait.

      Hi how did this go ? Did u like it ?? I am trying to get it for a friend .I don't think he can keep the telescope outside . As he might be just putting it in his vacation house (his home town ). May I know with this will he be able to see more than just the moon? Like other planets . The ring of some planets groups of stars nebula etc. If yes what eye piece should I be getting any suggestion ? Thanks a lot

    You definitely deserve likes! I’ve heard many complaints about the 130eq mount and because of you I am happily upgrading from a 114LT to the 130eq. The mount is fantastic!

    Good video! Do you think it would be able to do deepsky astrophoto with that motor???

    • @reviewsbydave8417
      @reviewsbydave8417  3 роки тому +1

      Definatley especially if you set the motor speed to keep the subject stationary., You can then do a long exposure shot

    You forgot to mention that you need to level the mount. If not your lat adjustment could be off.

    What's the purpose of the other slow motion control? Twisting it doesn't seem to do anything

    • @reviewsbydave8417
      @reviewsbydave8417  3 роки тому

      Hi - It should make very minute adjustments, for fine tuning, if it has no effect perhaps the locking bolt is not positioned correctly, see my unboxing and assembly video for more detail - hope this helps..

      Check the knob is tightened correctly, that got me where I could adjust it one way but not the other.

      Got it sorted. The pin was backing onto the thread of the bolt, not into it limiting the travel of the adjuster.

    hi, i just got my telescope, and one question, why sometime when I move the telescope i can see the cross line from the entering light reflected in the mirror, so i do not see any thing else, very hard to use this telescope, I am new and with my little telescope of 80mm I can see more, I bought this large telescope with the idea that I will have more enjoyment, so far just head heck, I hope you can see this message

    Which additional lenses would you suggest buying and where from? Nice videos, subbed.

    • @reviewsbydave8417
      @reviewsbydave8417  3 роки тому

      Hey thanks for the Sub means a lot and keeps me going. As far as lenses go, you can use any 1.25" lens but see Part two of my series as it explains the purpose of a Barlow lens. Some lenses will produce an inverted image, don't worry about that. Just remember - you get what you pay for with lenses, check the reviews before you order any. Thanks again - check back soon as I'm doing a feature on the Quest 2 VR headset!!!! its amazing!!
