    This was one of my favorite songs to sing in my best lounge singer's voice to my wife and partner of 35 years, who passed away 14 months ago. She'd just laugh and laugh. Today was the first day I've had the strength to listen to it. It's brought a few tears to my eyes but also many sweet memories.

      It's his most spiritual album for me, I've always felt that and I am a lifelong fan. It's ironic that he made those gospel albums and although they are good this really touches my soul because it's all about the search for salvation, but there he had found it.
      Well ... allegedly. Some people claim that they are parody albums ... "It may be the 😈 or it may be The LORD ... "

    It is beyond me why so many count Bob Dylan as a rock artist. His music has so much more to do with country music than rock music. He recorded folk, blues, hillbilly/country, even some old fashioned pop but there is very little rock in his music.

    • @piotrb8434
      @piotrb8434 4 роки тому

      @ThatKidWhoLiesAboutHisAge OnTheInternet Bob Dylan didn't record "blues rock" or "folk rock", just blues and folk without any rock influence. Led Zeppelin and Johnny Winter are blues rock.

    • @piotrb8434
      @piotrb8434 4 роки тому +3

      @ThatKidWhoLiesAboutHisAge OnTheInternet John Wesley Harding is a country/folk album rather than "folk rock album". I don't hear any rock music in this song.

      @ThatKidWhoLiesAboutHisAge OnTheInternet I have that album on CD. It's barely rock.

    • @piotrb8434
      @piotrb8434 4 роки тому +1

      @ThatKidWhoLiesAboutHisAge OnTheInternet I don't think you need to be hard rock heavy to be considered rock. The Cure, U2, The Cranberries are not heavy yet I consider them 100% rock. Bob Dylan's music is much closer to hillbilly/country than rock music. And "Americana" is just another vague, meaningless term used by music journos. Because what exactly is "Americana"? Is it folk? Blues? Country? Rockabilly? Bluegrass? What???

    • @piotrb8434
      @piotrb8434 4 роки тому +1

      @ThatKidWhoLiesAboutHisAge OnTheInternet No, I'm not. There is almost no electric guitar on that album. And when it's present it's very weak sounding, almost like an acoustic guitar. Listen to Chuck Berry, Link Wray, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who - that's rock.

    I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
    오늘 밤 당신의 연인이 될 거예요
    John Wesley Harding (1967)
    Close your eyes, close the door,
    눈을 감고, 문을 닫아요.
    You don't have to worry any more.
    더 이상 걱정할 필요 없어요.
    I'll be your baby tonight.
    오늘 밤 당신의 연인이 될게요
    Shut the light, shut the shade,
    불을 끄고, 커튼을 쳐요.
    You don't have to be afraid.
    두려워할 필요 없어요.
    I'll be your baby tonight.
    오늘 밤 나는 당신의 연인이에요.
    Well, that mockingbird's gonna sail away,
    아, 그 앵무새는 저리 갈 거예요.
    We're gonna forget it.
    우린 곧 잊어버리겠죠.
    That big, fat moon is gonna shine like a spoon,
    그 크고, 비대한 달은 숟가락처럼 빛날 거예요.
    But we're gonna let it,
    그 달은 곧 떠나버리겠지만,
    You won't regret it.
    그걸 후회하진 않을 거예요.
    Kick your shoes off, do not fear,
    신발을 벗어버리고, 무서워하지 말아요.
    Bring that bottle over here.
    그 술병을 여기로 가져와요.
    I'll be your baby tonight.
    오늘 밤 당신의 연인이 될게요.

    I wonder why this album is only for premium subscribers, but you can listen to all of Blood On The Tracks?? Perhaps I'm missing something? I can't afford Premium. And for what? A handful of Dylan songs here and there? No ads? I haven't found any other musicians or bands that I enjoy missing on YT. So what is this all about? Doesn't seem like it would even be very profitable for YT or the record label & artist. I have all of his albums, but it's still nice to have them on YT because people share their thoughts and experiences, etc. Hope it changes soon! Love this album so much.
