We had a great time, thanks again for making the effort to organise this event. The drive home was quite interesting in the stormy winds but Brian and VJN the Invacars battled onwards until our safe arrival home.
Lovely to see them again! Glad you got home safely.
That Renault Alpine is so rare looking, and an Aerodeck...what a magnificent collection of cars, much respect to all.
My 89 Fiesta 1.6S had rubbish plastic white wheel trims too. That soon discoloured. Parked outside a mate's house one night came out at midnight to find them all missing. Grr! Another mate of his had hidden them behind his dustbin. ROFL (not). Too right about keeping it out the rain. Paper is stronger. 😁👍
The Fiesta Bonus is simply splendid with such a touching story.

Love the Fiesta Bonus, especially the white wheel trims and great that the owner is maintaining his uncle's wishes with it.
I like that earlier Invacar model, such a whimsical design with those rear lights.
My god, Honda Accord Aerodecks are just cool as heck. Insanely rare. I've last seen one live over a decade ago.

Was nice to take the cars out (the Colt and Ibiza are mine) and my old man. Was lovely to meet some of you and have a good ole natter! Can’t wait for the next event!
P.S if you ever want a good look round either the Ibiza or the Colt I’ll be more than happy to show you!

I made it to the event last year and it was a great day out. It certainly looks like it was another good one this time. Circumstances beyond my control meant that I couldn't make it this year so I didn't book a ticket. Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one. Many thanks for sharing.

You're right Ian, Nick bought my Visa GTi (pretty much as a result of Rustival as I hadn't intended to sell it). I like his 14TRS just as much! Great selection of cars and I echo your comment that it's nice ot have time to see the cars properly. Rustival was amazing, an astonishing success, but there is a real benefit to these smaller low key socials.

Oh that Fiesta Bonus is glorious........and so great that the gentleman is adhering to his uncles wishes. My top 3 would be that Fiesta, the Mk3 Capri and the (slight more expensive) Aston DBS in the showroom.

Lovely video and a lovely day! I'm glad you liked my Saab 93! I've always thought they were very handsome cars too so picked this up, my first Saab, just 2 months ago. I'm hoping to contact you with regards to maybe test driving my cars for your channel when I have finished getting them summer ready. I have an untouched, original mg zr, an Alfa 166 with the 3.0 Busso and the Saab so it may be worth your time if you ever did want some more content for your channel! The Saab is a twin turbo diesel too so it is alot swifter than I expected! Thanks again for a brilliant day out and some great quality merch! And thanks to miss hubnut and yourself for being so nice to Jasmine when she gave you her pictures. All the best

Saw a very Hubnut car on my commute into work this morning in the form of a white Daewoo Nexia, which was the one based on the MK2 Vauxhall Astra. Can't be many of these left on the road, but they were everywhere during the late 1990's and 2000's. I think you need to do a road test and compare it to a MK2 Astra as the ones we saw in the UK tended to be the later variant with different styling (earlier ones sold in other markets known as the Racer were just a re-badged Astra).

Toyota Alphard 3:15. These are becoming, amongst the more sensible parts of the car world, the new luxury vehicle (especially, I think, in East Asia). The high-end models have really luxurious interiors, with captains' seats that rotate to make a facing four seat area, and all the bells and whistles. So much more rational than a 4x4. We had a very brief ride in one: better than a limousine or an old-style London cab.
Honda Sonata and Concerto and so on. A friend of mine had a Prelude: I was talking to him in the shop he ran, and he was lamenting that he'd just had a nose-to-tail shunt. In walks a louche friend of his: "How's the Honda Concertina?"
The ubiquitous bottle of Coca-Cola on the table.... stuff really is everywhere...
Currently using some to clean car parts...
Look at the Naugahyde in that LTD! I wonder how many naugas it took to make those seats? (points if you get that reference)
This was a great little gathering, with a nice mix of cars and plenty of people to chat with; I think my Capri liked being parked opposite Myrtle.
Always a varied mix of stuff at these socials, different every time despite being in the same place for the last 3 times.
Sadly I was one of those that didn't make it, woke up with a raging headache and wouldn't have been safe driving. The daily driver would have ticked over the 200,000 mile mark on the way there too!
Bah! Better luck next time.

I think I saw the Alfa Romeo overtake me just as i was breaking down.🙁 I spent an hour and half in a lay-by hitting the engine with spanners until it would run enough to get me back home. Sorry I missed the event, but I enjoyed the video.

Absolutely gutted that i wasn't able to make it due to my Citroën being a Citroën if there is another social in the year i will hopefully be there luckily i can watch this video and see all the cars regardless

Your Land Rover had the PTO option on it !!! (over the tow hitch last shot in the video) down here in Devon there is a ploughing match for vintage tractors that includes any early land rovers that are equipped to pull a plough,,,I know you don't need a PTO to pull a plough but we have a lovely log splitter that will plug into it rather than run it from a full size Massey
Ha that was me - I was actually saying to the chap with the invacar that I fancied trying ploughing. Maybe I'll make it down at some point.
Japanese exported all their Yota Hybrids with Alacrity! ;) Learnt to drive in a Mk3 Fiesta...Good Cars.

Drove my little Seat Ibiza Cronis(?) to Work over the past few days.. People don't know what the hell it is..... and when I drive one of the Yugo's things get really wacky 🚗💨😜😛. Looks like it was a good turnout. Were you REALLY "Bobbing all weekend".......😮😜? Inquiring minds and all that........🤔🤨😏.
We Bobbed for two nights prior to the event.

If not for your commentary I wouldn't have known what half those cars were, most post mid 70's are a mystery unless having owned one even if a flipper. Someone inform that Smart owner that vehicles on trailers or being towed should have their plates covered to avoid confusing ANPR or the Bill. Would imagine those Riley's had a weighty price tag, liked the 12/4 or was it a 15/6? The 9 was quite nice as well.

Me too, i thought the same but possibly a corgi model ? It was one of my favourites, not sure why as not exactly a car that you would associate with as a small child !
@@philiptidmarsh Googled it - it was Matchbox "Superfast" no. 14 and it was indeed blue. I had the Superfast track as a child.
@@HowardLeVert I gOogled it as well and saw Matchbox & Corgi did versions . Mine had a black bonnet which was the corgi one. I have probably still got it somewhere...

The Mk2 Puntos have fake grilles. Fake grilles, probably for the old folks that were sceptical of the newfangled underside air intakes. The Mk1 is so much prettier.
You mean Mk2a Punto… they raised the suspension and fitted bigger better headlights….
Gosh it must be reaching dad age, but I miss the hotel and tourist videos you sometimes did during car and after car showings :P . It must be a weird thing that happens to men I suppose. "You have become that annoying man you hated as a kid that finds something really boring very interesting now! Like.. Caravans!" :P
We sadly didn't manage any filming either side of this show. A bit of a disappointing campsite sadly.

The 720cc 2CV being "your fault" makes me wonder how many more 720s will be out there in the coming years, someone might have to create a new badge specifically for them, the "2CV7 Extra Spécial"... :P
