Hey Guys, As you have probably noticed already i have updated the channel name and logo. The channel is no longer Really Random Channel it is now RRC Restoration. Just incase you were wondering why the water marks in the video still say Really Random Channel. Enjoy.
Great video; Like a couple of other viewers it also takes me back to my teens - My neighbour had the slightly larger RS125 version and I rode a SS50 5 speed at the time (40 plus bikes later I ride a ZZR1200 in England and Versys 650 out here in Asia). He taught me how to change the engine oil and even piston rings.... been working on my bikes ever since. Keep the videos coming!!
Suzuki A100 1985 was my very first motorcycle...thats where the love affair started and has never dulled..one day I hopefully will do the same..find an 85 model and restore it...thanks for the memories ..nice little Yamaha rs100...we did not get these here in Australia
No apology needed for those great shots! Really enjoy your work and find it humorous that you ever waited to let viewers hear your voice. Your narration adds that something special that sets your channel apart. Thanks for sharing.
Brings back fond memories of my '82 YZ 100. I truly enjoy watching all the content you produce and am extremely jealous of all your awesome "toys" Keep the great videos coming!
Like many who must have watched this film, I “had one of these back in the day” (in 1981 to 1983, or 17 to 19 years old). It was very clean, tidy and original, yet in all the 9,000 miles I did on it, I never solved a misfire, which kept it under 40-45mph! 🙄 Never managed to fix that!! Still riding, nearly 40 years later, but 1200 Triumphs these days...
Lovely restoration on the bike it took me a moment or two to work out why there was no traffic on the road with you Scotland clean air and great biking roads 🏍
wow this brings back some memories.... my first bike was a FS1E the model without the pedals.. lol then i bought a YB100 after... then i jumped to a TZR 125 and that was a beast of a bike for what it was... it was a full power model and race tuned....2 strokes where so much fun then too... and loads of models.. i still miss it even though i have a much bigger bike now...
I've often wondered about that little red rocket sat in the corner. The RS100 was the very first bike I bought waaay back in 1986, that was a '79 too. Happy memories! Thanks for sharing dude, and yes, I'd be happy to see more vids like that.
Nice to see you again :) So glad i could evoke some happy memories for you, Im hoping to create a lot more of this content as well as keeping up with the restoration side of stuff, i Really like the variety of videos im starting to build up now hopefully there is something for everyone on this channel :) See you again in the next video ;)
Damn, I can almost smell that typical 2-stroke exhaust... beautiful bike and lions better than new. Probably because it is ;-) I always enjoy your vids... keep 'em coming and thank you for sharing!
One of these was my 1st ever bike, at 16 I couldn’t afford a moped, then after turning 17 I bought it off of and older mate who rode this when all the other lads were limited to the old 50cc FS1Es, so I was really happy to get it. After a couple of years I upgraded And passed it down to my younger brother for his 1st bike when he turned 17.
That is a good looking bike. I used to have a 1976 Yamaha RD400. Your bike looks very similar. Cycle World magazine said the RD400 was the most wheelie prone bike they ever tested. I can confirm it constantly liked to wheelie when accelerating away from stop signs! Very fun. I enjoyed your video very much. Your camera work was quiet good, no need for you to apologize. It takes a lot of work to take all those camera angle shots and then edit the video. Good job.
@@RRCRestoration Thanks, and yes there is - you can go many places where bigger bikes cannot., mainly because they're too heavy. A little, nimble two stroke can go almost everywhere without getting stuck in the mud. 😊
Oh man..this is sweet..can't wait for the honda 80 test ride..can't wait to hear the sound..you should get a job at a motorcycle museum or something..your restortion job is superb my friend..just awesome
Good memory's of the 100 and loved it ! I didn't own it, Bud Clay did when we all rode together as kids and what a nice little bike ! i recall his was the first 100 twin but looked some what the same !
You just reminded me My 1975 RX100 still in the shed with rusty inside gas tank, jammed gas tank lock, never have a guts to open the carburetor, and empty battery tray, may be its time to dig it out and make it run.
For Indonesia market, RS100 it's different with yours. In my country this is almost similar with RX100 with same gastank and cap, seat, also i notice the same assistt grip too. Maybe also same for others parts. But with different model for speedometer. I have RX100 with silver color. Your RS100 is very nice. Love the colour.
Small power but lots of fun on these little 2 strokes. I used to love my old DT125LC way back in the 80's and 90's, especially out on those twisty country roads.
It was sold has Rx100 in India in the '80s to '90s. one of the best bike we could have. even now it is of great demand because of its power to weight ratio, performance and not to forget the sound...

2 strokes are so fun. Twice the power for the same displacement compared to a 4 stroke.
I wish I could ride something as small as that. I had a Yamaha FS1E at the age of 16. I was 6ft 4" with a 28 inch waist but weighed 18 stone. To say I struggled up hills is an understatement. 😆
Cheers for the post, my first bike, (never had a'ped) easy to learn on, and with a top whack of 70ish and a cruising speed of 50 it just about mixed it with the Allegro's and Marinas of the day. Great resto just need the speedblock strips. Cheers.
Great little bikes, I genuinely have a bigger smile on my face on this than i do with the ducati, i think its the 2 stroke fizz that does it haha. yeah i always meant to get the decals fitted but never got around to it.
Thank you :) Id love to try and do a few odd ball bike reviews/ test rides but im not sure how much of an audience there would be for that kind of thing?
Got a gp100 that I've spent a few hours here and there building for the past 2 years. Hoping to get it motd once I can get a small enough 12v battery after converting it from 6 to 12
Hi RRC great video those type of bikes take me back, at least its not an old brit bike as you would have more to deal with than just a speedo, you would need spanners to keep tightening everything every few miles, ATB Wayne.
Nice to see you again , Glad my video could evoke some memories for you :) Haha very true, ive never really been keen on vintage British bikes then just dont do it for me which is very strange what with living in Britain haha.
Well done for having the self discipline to clean that little Yammy after each ride. The care you lavish on your machines shows itself in their immaculate condition. My poor old bikes were 'gunked' then cleaned down once every three years, whether they needed it or not! OK only kidding but certainly never washed them down after each ride B-) Always enjoy your vid's, keep 'em coming and are there going to be any more 'bike restores coming up?
Haha thanks for the comment, I only clean my vintage machinery like this after every ride my modern bikes dont get as much care and attention mostly because im not terrified of them rusting haha. I do have a few projects lined up the one that will be appearing first is a Ducati 600SS
Nice looking and well maintained!! Does this bike require pre-mix or is there a tank and pump to mix in the 2 stroke oil? 1979 I assume a tank. Look forward to the next video!!
Thank you :) It does have the 2 stroke tank but i choose to run it on pre-mix as then i know for a fact its getting the right amount of lubrication, i have heard lots of horror stories of oil pumps going wrong and running lean then seizing up.
Hey Guys, As you have probably noticed already i have updated the channel name and logo. The channel is no longer Really Random Channel it is now RRC Restoration. Just incase you were wondering why the water marks in the video still say Really Random Channel. Enjoy.
Ah! The awesome RX100. Almost all of the 80s and 90s kids from India can relate fondly to funtimes spent in this motorcycle.
Great video; Like a couple of other viewers it also takes me back to my teens - My neighbour had the slightly larger RS125 version and I rode a SS50 5 speed at the time (40 plus bikes later I ride a ZZR1200 in England and Versys 650 out here in Asia). Great video fella, takes me back to my teens, RS100 was my 1st real bike and had so much fun on it
My first bike. Bought from West Pier M/Cs in Edinburgh. In my opinion the best little bike available at the time. Great memories.
That was awesome. Great stuff these older bikes, much better looking than the modern plastic covered weird bikes in shops today.
Suzuki A100 1985 was my very first motorcycle...thats where the love affair started and has never dulled..one day I hopefully will do the same..find an 85 model and restore it...thanks for the memories ..nice little Yamaha rs100...we did not get these here in Australia

Thank you for your kind comment, I agree now that im doing a bit of narration it makes the videos feel a bit more welcoming :)
That is absolutely beautiful!! Great resto! It's perfect!!!
What a sweet little fleet of bikes, looking forward to seeing it grow.
I love this bike mate and I can’t stop watching your videos keep the good work up

Another great vid mate. The sound of a 2 stroke is the sound track of my misspent youth! 😁😁
Thank you ,Glad you enjoyed it :)

It looks like you spent much more time filming then the time spent riding. Thank you for your time.
I did but it was worth it to make a fun video for you guys to enjoy :)

Great job on that, and the sound took me back to the eighties when I had one. Happy days.
Thank you, Yeah its defo one of my favorite bikes to ride it always puts a smile on my face riding a peppy little 2 stroke :)
One of these was my 1st ever bike,

Enjoyed the video. Nice countryside view. Hope to see another 2 stroke bike restoration in the future.
Great video, and thanks for taking us with you - love those small vintage bikes. Had quite a few myself, mainly Hondas.😊
Hi, No problem glad to have you along for the ride : ) Theres a lot of fun to be had on these small bikes very underrated machines.
@@RRCRestoration Thanks, and yes there is - you can go many places where bigger bikes cannot., mainly because they're too heavy. A little, nimble two stroke can go almost everywhere without getting stuck in the mud. 😊
I don't believe it.... a sunny day? Cracking video, love ya channel.
Haha i know very unusual for this country so i got the bike out while i had the chance haha. Thanks for the comment :)
Dude beautiful country side you have there, I'd love to ride my Indian on those roads. Nice job.

@@RRCRestoration It really is, well worth doing.
Spotless bike man! Good work on looking after it.
Thank you :)
I see how you keep them looking like new with zero miles ;-)
Great Stuff,
Brought back some memories,
I had one of these in 1980, but it was an earlier model. To be fair I loved it as it was quite nippy !!...😀👍
Absolutely fantastic. What a blast.
Hi, Thank you glad you enjoyed it :)
Small power but lots of fun on these little 2 strokes. I used to love my old DT125LC way back in the 80's and 90's, especially out on those twisty country roads.

That was satisfying to watch mate. :)
Nice to see you again :) Glad you enjoyed it.
I had a blue RS100 new in 1978.
VBO 27S.. Where is she now

Wow , really cool old skool 2 stroker .
Glad you liked it :)

Thank you , Hello from Scotland
Had the 77 model of this with a completely different rear light and colour scheme. TLA 537R. Sadly 40 years since i last saw it and probably scrapped.

Thats always the fear heading into a corner especially on those skinny tyres!
lovely bike, i had a blue one with a terry beckett tuned engine back in the early 80's, rapid for a 100cc bike
Nice ;)

Why do we always say pure sound? What does it mean?
So envious of those empty roads, virtually impossible to do that here!

Looking forward to the zinc plating tutorial , please.....pretty please
