+Samuel DePorter Do you hate the US Constitution?
+Samuel DePorter you sound like a dumb fick liberal with no idea. Registration does equal confiscation.
There is an interesting question as to what is the best way to set up a country. Almost every country does it the American way. One piece of paper that can be amended but usually has super majority protection. However New Zealand and Isreal (I think it's just those two) don't have one piece of paper. It's called an unwritten constitution. It's not literally unwritten but it is made of individual laws or parts of laws, there is not a single constitution for you to read.
The downside is obvious. People are going to be more ignorant about constitutional laws. However, you get the flexibility to move forward as a country. Anything serious, a Bill of Rights or the structure of the government will require supermajorities to change so you still have your rights protected in a similar sense to a country with a written constitution. But if technology changes or better ideas come around in Israel and New Zealand you just pass a new law or toss out an old one. It's not a huge deal like an American constitutional amendment so it can actually happen in a reasonable time frame.
The American constitution is pretty good and I understand why it was set up the way it was. You want things to be in control, you want to make sure the country doesn't lose its way. But you can't predict the entire future of your country. I think it's less efficient to anchor yourself down so much so early on in your country's life .
No. Things that get registered to not automatically get confiscated. Many dangerous things get registered but are never confiscated.

Idk about the felon part, but open carry america people do get arrested for open carrying pre 1898 pistols. They usually get released but arrested is arrested. Still a inconvenience...

How often does a SBR owner have to show their tax stamp/registration? I've always wondered how many illegally owned SBRs and other firearms are out there in America, and also how often the owners get prosecuted. For example, could you expect to have to show the tax stamp whenever you go to a public gun range? I'm assuming any law enforcement could just see your SBR and then demand to see the tax stamp, or even other shooters or the range owner could ask and then report you if you don't provide one.
root my buddy has quite a few sbrs and suppressors and one machine gun. He keeps copies of all of his taxstamps in the case with the gun and has images of them on his phone as back up. He gets asked for them the first time we go to any new range that we dont visit frequently.

Wouldn’t scraping off the serial number off a gun completely undermine the whole tracking system ?
Imagine a criminal steals a gun, scraps off the serial number and the sells it or uses it, it would be untraceable, right?
Also, if the gun is stolen, then used in a crime and abandoned, its untraceable to the criminal, but it is traceable to the original owner, making the tracking system useless and a waste as it uses up resources and yields nothing in return.
It's illegal to possess a gun with an altered serial #. Would YOU buy one that's had the serial# ground off? Not me.
@@Douden996 The 2A says otherwise.
Yep, and having a serial number or not, traces rarely lead to arrests because the vast majority of recovered crime guns are just that, "Stolen" guns.
"Thanks to lobbysts like the NRA...." This quote was enough for me to know this channel loves to infringe on the second amendment, very anti- firearms quote...
..
Lolololol GQ thinks the NRA cares about constitutional rights
@@rossponding they are both the same, what u on about boy scout?
4:06 "Yeah go stand over there and point at a random case to make it seem like you're doing something"
once the cases have been closed, the ATF should sell those guns, not the rocket launchers obviously, but there is no real reason why they shouldn't resell them back 2 the public just like police auction impounded cars.
FYI to all the clueless anti gunners, Chicago has a city ban on all firearms in city limits and there is not a single gun shop in Chicago, yet they lead the country in gun violence.
Kevin Bowman Yep Kevin that's true
It’ll be tragic if that building just happened to go up in flames!!
It would be really sad....
Rather loot it first. Just carry blm signs, they can't prosecute you
Thanks NRA! 0:40
Your welcome
Falling Brass that's great they have no right to know what guns i have. Thank you NRA.
You act like no national gun registry is a bad thing. It’s a good thing and the government has no business knowing what firearms American citizens have.
TheUofAfan You’re *
Henry Gonzales Lol, nice argument
Now THAT is an example of government inefficiency that I can support! Make it as HARD AS POSSIBLE for the feds to be able to track what individual gun owners have. Someone in congress (and more importantly, the NRA) was looking out for use when they made these rules.
I heard about one dealer who (when he retired) sent his records to the ATF hand written on rolls and rolls of TOILET PAPER.
You heard nonsense. They're all 4473s. The forms are provided by the ATF. They have changed many times over the years but they are the same form for all FFLs.
No, his bound book wasn't kept on toilet paper either. He would have not only lost his license but faced criminal charges for not keeping an adequate bound book.
They don’t need to know who bought what firearm unless they plan on taking them away someday.
they don't need to know who bought what firearm even if they choose to do that
Lmaooo what country do you live in that guns are being taken away?
@@19MAD95 You ever taken a single history class, my guy?

Right because murderers SHOULD be allowed to own guns
The most inefficient record keeping system ever.
Also, worst job ever.
these cigarettes will definately kill you...
If you’ve ever passed off your grandma you know a cane alone is a deadly weapon.
Registration=confiscation. It's that simple.
why do you say that
big thank you to the NRA.
Matthew Langley why?
Gabe Cross theyve made gun confiscation nearly impossible
@@Bushdid-hx1zc its happening every day. Nra is trash.
imagine ian breaching that vault, that would be his field day
Thought this was Vox wtf

Right!
I know they are like the same
Its basically the same
Dude is allowed to go and mess around with any weapon he wants to play with, I'm sooo jealous
"We have to create records that aren't searchable" Oh, ok. Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.
You don't have the right to know how many guns I got.
Pointing the barrel at the camera guy and pulling the trigger, what a waste of tax payer money.
I like how the guy showing the guns doesn’t demonize them. Its not the inanimate objects fault, its the person using it.
Oh he was being pretty smarmy
RIP Max, my dog shot by an atf agent during a no knock raid on my house after I posted a gun meme on my facebook page. He will be missed...
Stuff like this makes me want to buy black market.
What happens if someone burned the whole building down? Do they keep copies
Good I am glad the Feds don't have easy information on who owns what kind of guns.
And we are paying for this information collecting that can and will be used against us. We are paying for our own demise.
Ahh yes finding criminals=demise
It is to keep YOU safer buddy. Umm...Yeah, what a crock huh?
I hope a bunch of mice get in those shipping containers and chew up all those papers.
Thank GOD for the NRA and others like them that protect the individual rights of Americans!
