Hi Bill, I watched this video some time ago as I have a King Stephen too. Mine started to run poorly recently, so I decided to watch it again before I get the screwdrivers etc out later this evening. Wish me luck!
Morning bill I hope you are well? Sorry about the state of front bogie wheels. My aim was to service it to best of my abilities (with having brain damage and cerebral palsy. But could not get base keeper plate off. Thank you again Keep safe ARP
I enjoyed the repair very much, I do like the "King Class" but I just spotted the cow in the waiting room on the other platform, where is she going and what is the fare for a cow? 🐄 🙂
That's a real nice looking model of a King Class. I'm really a LNER man, as I live in that area of England. But do like some engines from the 3 other areas of the "Big Four".
I would say that the decoder received an awful short. Usually the short/thermal overload protection would have saved it but to actually melt a component means it took a pretty good hit.
Recently subbed your channel, really enjoy watching you solve these problems in a calm and efficient way. Just out of a matter of interest, do you purchase a particular brand of contact cleaner?
@P F S Hi. Bill uses WD40 Contact Cleaner. If you're not familiar with it, please note do not purchase just WD40. It must be WD40 'CONTACT CLEANER'. Good luck, Paul. 👍
What's your wee ladie going to do when you make version 96 layout? noticed the new cattle shed! LOL. GWR had some great looking locos Parries tanks & Pannier, Manors, Hall's but as for firing/driving (cab layout) the other regions beat the GWR hands down!
Once again, you've made it look easy, But I'm sure there were trouble spots along the way. You and I both know that we should often take what ebay sellers say with a large pinch od sodium chloride! (BTW, why is there a cow in the shelter?) Cheers, Jim L
OK Are you up for a little criticism firstly I enjoy what you do b uh t your diction is a little hard to understand because you are always hunched over Also have you considered a rolling teat bed for the initial expecting I have close to 150 locomotives and some of them need work hence I watch your uploade
Bill, about 7:09, when you take the battery to it, it looks like the left rear driver is wobbling, as if crooked on its axle; it's center hole (possibly) oblong.
Watching you repairing these locomotives is mesmerising….so much so that my wife can ask me to do something and I can’t hear her……
That’s a beautiful locomotive and running so nicely now. I was disappointed that the 4F didn’t push it into the shed. Keep up the great work, Bill!🇨🇦

Love your “manky brush” 🤣🤣 You do a great job with the servicing/refurbishment of old (and some new) not so previously loved locos
Great video. I love seeing these trains being given a new lease of life. Cheers Paul
I really enjoy your vids, a craftsman at work. Thank you.

Why did you not use a fibre glass brush on the bogie wheel's.

has the cow in the platform shelter at 16:56 paid?

@@MrVinnyh I must have missed that one! I'll check it out! Thanks
Errrm why is there a cow in the waiting shelter on the station?
Well, she has to wait _somewhere._
Why has the 4f got the sack, like seeing shunter not the hand of god
Hi Bill did you know that you have a cow ln the building mart
been watching your channel bill a1+
I often wonder how the ‘model repair ‘ industry would have coped if the cocktail stick had not been invented 😂

Never believe anything you read on EBay 😂

The rear axle is sprung so is all over the place when not under load.
