@@Jake-oz8ln I don’t really think Lucas speaks out of turn. He talks about shooting and business, and he’s really good at both. Either way, glad to have Brandon on the YT channel.
I love how it seamlessly turned from "guns talk" to "healthy lifestyle and nutrition talk". Avoiding putting junk in is one of the best (if not the best) things you can do to your health (and spirit, for that matter)
As a side note for the barefoot style shoes. If you've worn padded/supported shoes your whole life and are wanting to try/switch to barefoot don't jump in whole hog. Don't just start wearing them all day every day as soon as you get them, take a few weeks to wear your old shoes and bring the barefoot with you, and just wear them for short stints that gradually get longer over the weeks until your feet get strong enough/used to the shoes
This, and definitely don't go running on asphalt/concrete in barefoot shoes until you've gotten well used to them. Even then, for long runs, you'd still want something padded to prevent injuries. My recommendation would be to use the barefoot style shoes for training cycles, and switch to more supportive footwear with plenty of traction for actual competition.
I started by wearing the barefoot shoes for half a day the morning then switched to my old ones for the rest of the day for three months but I walk 10-12 thousand steps per day on concrete. You can also alternate with some lems shoes they have some padding in them but are 0 drop and have a very wide toe box. I found that the xero brand was not wide enough so I use lems or a couple others.
Brandon, this is my far The best video I’ve seen/make, the wisdom put in that I took away from this video. You have earned a whole new level of respect from me absolutely outstanding more videos like this, please. Loved all the facts about food and drinks, not only for the tactical games, but just in life in general. Excellent stuff.
Great video, loving TTG content. Keep it up! Also - he’s not kidding on the breads. Look at the ingredients in your bread. My wife makes sourdough too and it’s literally 3 ingredients.
Well thought out video Brandon. I especially like the details about the food- eating more natural and organic food is one thing our family is working on. I would certainly watch a longer form video from you guys on the subject. Though I'm not sure Lucas would support you trashing his Reign 😂
Been using the Xeroshoes Mesa Trails for 3+ years now. Love the trail running, even do some road running in them. Biggest concern is do not go off trail too much with them. Callery Pear and other thorns will go right through the shoe. Work for my state's Dept. of Natural Resources, so I'm in the woods a lot. Had good luck with the wide toe box in Rockys so far.
Great vid Brandon, appreciate the nutrition info an brand call outs too it is very difficult to find anything healthy to buy these days good lookin out for the eats.
You know what, I want to see an event that utilized just bare bone rifles and pistols. No extra upgrades, nice kit. But just a bare bone 16 in, carbine length, a2 handguard, milspec trigger, vortex pst 1-6 viper, no bad levers, a2 pistol grip, m4 stock, no upgraded barrel, stock glock gen 5 mos with an rmr, no upgrades. Nd have people compete for money. The event holders will provide the weapons so no one can try to get past with their secret upgrades etc. That would be an interesting event to see how people can operate with a bare bone rifle and pistol
Brandon: Use Velcro One-Wrap on your pouches instead of malice clips. I used this in the Tactical Games, training, and for duty use. One-Wrap is strong, secure, and can withstand the abuse.
Brandon, on the contrary the food part was the best part. We switched to buying only organic produce and products while limiting processed foods a few months ago and the difference in mental clarity and physical energy has been incredible. Eat real food folks. Love this content! Would really enjoy more fitness/food related content.
You should give the new BCM Mk2 charging handle a try. It's by far the best charging handle on the market imo. Stops essentially all gas from going into your face while shooting suppressed. I actually didn't really notice much of a difference in gas mitigation between the regular raptor and the SD also I'm glad you said that about the 55gr fiocchi - I ordered some not too long ago and it was insanely accurate out of my criterions. no one really believed me lol
Crazy how different people are so different on footwear. You recommend barefoot shoes, others recommend boots with ankle support. I'm with you. My ankles were never weaker than when i got out of the service and stopped wearing combat boots daily. Took a while to build up that ankle strength.
Are we allowed to have a 45 degree dot sight with the LPVO? Their equipment requirememts video specifically forbid it. The rules on the website say 45 irons only. Is there a different category that allows it? I just dont want to train with a 45 dot and find out i have to remove it comp day
Great info! Thanks, Brandon; I especially appreciated your perspective on a “real food “diet and your footwear for an overall more natural lifestyle. I particularly struggle with this in my life and would enjoy more content from you on this. I went and ordered Rawr Organics Protein Bars and Clean Cause energy drinks as a result of this video. I appreciate the Christian influence from Rawr and that they donate from their profits to feed needy people in Africa and Clean Cause donates to addiction recovery. Awesome!
Insane Brandon is giving feedback on T Rex’s own products and not just saying it’s “perfect”. Most companies wouldn’t do that and then air it out online.
If you are going to consume caffeine I highly recommend making sure it's natural caffeine not synthetic and combining L-Theanine with it which takes away the jittery feeling caffeine can give you and actually makes the caffeine help with focus. Also Magnesium Glycinate which helps eliminate any cramping.
great vid as always, i am the same have recently switched from fav camo bein multicam\and black and started changin over to the Arid and sure as i did found out when got a new hotpocket in Arid that its been discontinued as a fabric\material pattern unless order a huge roll etc, so if gotten most of what i needed in it but sad that goin forward it wont be available etc Keep up the awsome content and work, and good luck at the games!
FWIW: Wolf Gold 55fmj SD - 17.3 PMC 55fmj SD - 25.5 Considering the price of most 55fmj ($.50-.55), I’d encourage you to consider the AAC 77 OTM at ~$.62. I’m seeing SDs in the teens.
I’ve been shooting AAC 77grain otm (not the sierra bullet version), and I get decent groups. I don’t measure with a caliper, but I’d say 2 moa with my 14.5 Bcm at 300 meters
Does Xero make a shoe that's IR compliant? Alternatively, is there a reccomended way to cover/remove/recolor reflective details on shoes? Love my Xero shoes in the gym but they have a lot of shiny bits.
Dang it man, I’m honestly impressed by this video. I appreciate the details!! Did you have any issues with debris or anything getting in your delta point pro and canted mount on your rifle ? Thank you. !!!
PMC XTAC 5.56mm 55gr is decent. SD is around 20 fps, which is better than most bulk packaged factory ammunition. IMI 55gr is a little worse but has a slight increase in velocity. If your Core barrel can't shoot either at 2 MOA, get a different barrel.
Damn….. expected to see gun stuff…Did not expect to be researching thornes supplements after a tactical games video…. “ just make sure you are not eating poison”….good advise.
I have! We really like Tactical Triggers for Glock. My Gen5 G17 just happens to have a really good trigger from factory, but it's still no 1911 style trigger.
Bro gotta say, I had the same emissary grip, then switched to Edgar sherma designs' pebble grip for my 10.3, and it's way better in my opinion. He also makes a fuller sized grip too if u want it longer. It doesn't have the tang so u can switch the safety way faster and easier
The nutritional segment of this video is the most important IMO. I will say, cashews and almonds aren’t as good for you as once believed. Too much Oxalate is detrimental to your health as well.
Really glad you guys are showing TG content. It seemed very cringy with the limited amount of information on the events. This has changed my perspective on it.
@@brandon.wombat I’m rolling a 1-6 with a BDC. @@K-bob_45 yeaup, I did. The BDC just falls apart past 400. The MK6 is also a 50m zero specific BDC, I just confirm it at 170, which is where the kestrel says my zero lands. With 0.2MRAD adjustments, it's super fast to dial within 600m.

Came for the gear review and subscribed for the food and nutrition review. I am glad that he introduced me to Rawr Organics
I did zero cardio in preparation of the TTG event I did.
Ate McDonald’s for breakfast both days.

can you use 45 degree throw safeties in the tactical games? I saw the rules state that no "modifications" to the safeties are allowed?
