A vet that I work with has a colleague who did her dissertation on horse chiropractic using cadavers. She found that it’s impossible to move a horse’s vertebrae with your hand, and that even if you hit it with a sledgehammer you still wouldn’t move it as much as animal chiropractors would have you believe. I’ll try to see if I can find the research and drop it in the comments but, yeah, a human hand is doing absolutely nothing to a horse.

Hate to say this but your vet is really not very bright. I sit here laughing because working on a cadaver is the last thing you would do to assess the effectiveness of chiro adjustment. This simply PROVES THAT ALLOPATHY often has NO CLUE what to do to effectively treat animals. I have a SUPERB chiro who has the hands of GOD and does amazing work. We have a small dog sanctuary and have gone to her many times. My sister has a chiro come to their dairy farm and adjust cows who have vertebral issues…..amazing results….their dog has also been treated with instant amazing results.

I would personally downgrade (or upgrade) homeopathy to the same level as a chiropractic adjustment, not so much because it causes immediate effects but because it causes the lack of other treatment for symptoms. I grew up in the Anthroposophy movement, all my ailments were ever only treated with homeopathy. I was born half blind (they tried to cure that with dancing) and with hypothyroidism (for which I received sugar pills for) on account of being born with Septo-Optic Dysplasia. I never received proper medication and suffered throughout my whole childhood. The danger in homeopathy isn't so much the little sugar pills and tinctures but the lack of proper medical care that comes with it. Thank you for reading.

You are correct in that people who do not know what they are doing and who do not know how to evaluate for successful response SHOULD NOT BE DOING THE THINGS THAT WERE DONE TO YOU. THAT BEING SAID, well educated people who have a strong background in Human and animal healthcare, such as MD, veterinarians, RNs, etc all should be highly skilled in assessing conditions and applying appropriate interventions….but MOSTLY MONITORING RESULTS. As well, far too many humans and animals are grossly harmed and killed by allopathic human doctors and vets. As a former practitioner I can tell you horror stories about the gross arrogance and incompetence demonstrated by both VETERINARIANS AND MDs, resulting in death, when recovery was what should have happened. Mi literally despise most MDs and VETS because of their arrogance. I have saved the lives of MANY HUMN AND ANIMAL PATIENTS who would have otherwise died at the hands at these arrogant practitioners.

CBD is an interesting case. Because it comes from Marijuana there hasn't been a ton of study on it, because its difficult to get permission from the government to acquire for research. The plant also contains many compounds which may work together to produce different effects. Mice and rats also do not self administer THC, thats just another fun fact!

I see this was posted just 5 hours ago. I can contribute my experience with acupunture for my Yorkshire terrier. She is 16 years old and 1 week ago she awoke from a nap and signaled she needed to go outside. I carried her outside and set her down and she immediately fell over. I picked her up and she managed to void. I picked her up again and brought her in. When I set her down her head was tilted to the left and her movements were very unstable. I took her to an animal ER and she was diagnosed with vestibular disease. Her vital signs were stable and her ear cytology negative for infection. She was put on antinausea medicine and meclizine. I took her to her regular vet on Monday for labwork to rule out metabolic disease. While there the young vet who was covering for my regular vet asked if she could do acupuncture on my Yorkie, since I had considered this nontradional treatment for myself before, I agreed. When my dog was returned to me, I could tell her body was noticeably less tense and her head movements had stopped. She slept through the night and didnt exhibit any anxiety. Now did the treatment cure her, No but it was a relief for me to see her relaxed. If I had been able to have her treat a 2nd time I would have.

I hve 4 dogs at my sanctuary, all seniors with severe arthritis, who benefitted immensely from CBD. You must carefully choose the product you use. We use two different products, one from NuLeaf and the other from ElleVet. The ElleVet company is owned by veterinarians and has significant research conducted. The drawback to their product is the EXTREME TASTE. They sell their products in either gel cpas or a liquid. If you use the liquid they provide capsules you can load with the correct amount. One issue with their gel caps is that you MUST RAPIDLY get the dog to eat the gel cap or it melts and the liquid inside seeps out and the dog will not take it. So we set up several bowls with the correct number and size of gel caps then wrap one at time and instantly feed it to the dog.

Hello a question, have you read something about the use of collodial silverwater/ Zeolith in animals and it's effects. The owner of the stable where I ride uses it religiously on almost everything (worms, to disinfect wounds, against stress around new years eve, against diarrhea), and I'm a little concerned for the animals but don't know what to do. Maybe she doesn't have the financial means to go to vets about some health concerns.

    • @0aprilanne0
      @0aprilanne0 15 днів тому

Well, colloidal silver has been deemed unsafe for consumption and topical use by the FDA since the 90s. It legally cannot be in any product (human or animal) that is regulated by them. Unfortunately, supplements aren't regulated and so people can still access it. There is evidence it disrupts absorption of some other meds and can negatively affect the kidneys, liver, and nervous system.

As someone who was trained within the allopathic system, I too was once IGNORANT regarding homeopathy and it literally “ made no sense” to me once I understood the extreme dilutions used……however, homeopathy is based upon the RESIDUAL ENERGY SIGNATURE of the remedy employed. HOMEOPATHY IS ENERGY MEDICINE and it works very well if a trained practitioner is skilled in selecting the appropriate remedy, just as any allopath must be trained and skilled in prescribing the appropriate medication.
I literally CURED idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura in the year 2000, in one of my dogs who was vaccine injured ate age two and developed ITP. My first response to saving her life was to get her to our university hospital…..her platelets were 1,000!!!!!!!! My allopathic vet was too stupid to understand what he was dealing with. After six months of the standard prednisone protocol involving high dose prednisone to stabilize and the the wean down process…….two complete 3 month treatment processes because this dog was never able to maintain her platelet count during the wean down, I WENT and bought a bookcase full of homeopathy texts, began studying, and consulted with an online group of practitioners who treated pets. These practitioners studied under the best practitioners from Europe and India . We reviewed the 5 homeopathic remedies typically used to treat vaccine injury. I matched my dog’s presentation to the remedy I would use. I implemented the remedy on a Friday, when her bloodwork showed that her platelets were again approaching 1,000 and the damn fool UNIVERSITY TRAINED VET INSISTED that the wean down be continued. I got home at noon and began giving my dog two crushed pellets of the remedy EVERY TWO HOURS throughout the weekend. On Monday we returned to the University teaching hospital for bloodwork. My dogs platelets were 146,000. The vet was certain that the blood work report was for some other dog and that there must have been a lab mixup, so she took my dog back to the lab AND SHE STAYED WITH THE VIAL UNTIL IT WAS FINISHED BEING EVALUATED. Yup, the results were my dog’s. So, when she brought my dog back to me with the second results this vet looked as if she had seen a ghost…..and she stated that she was absolutely perplexed and confused. When I explained that I had begun giving a homeopathic remedy, etc, this arrogant wannabe doctor became snooty. I FORED HER ON THE SPOT then went home with my dog and continued to give the remedy, in decreasing frequency, over the next several months. Platelet levels stabilize Ed at 467,000.

@eusebius9533 I don't understand. How can there be "science-based integrative medicine courses"? It's a contradiction. A paramount feature of "integrative medicine" is its lack of being conventional and it is not conventional because it has no evidence or even evidence against it yet people want to believe it and use it anyway. They seem to have created this course because people want acupuncture so they are using its principles as a foundation. They are just shoehorning theories to try and make acupuncture work. This state of vet med makes me sad.

It’s so hard for me to know what is best! I own a dog boarding facility & my client’s very small dog woke up paralyzed. They didn’t do surgery - instead did minimal chiropractic + acupuncture & within a week was walking again (this is after the vet told her she’d have to put the dog down if they didn’t do surgery). My blue heeler has a herniated disc. A neurologist did a MRI + steroid epidural which didn’t seem to take. Now I’ve taken her to the chiropractor 2x (he is very gentle) & she hasn’t cried in pain in 3 weeks. Idk what to make of this I don’t feel like she magically just started feeling better 😅 and the neurologist agreed she didn’t think the epidural helped because she was crying 2 weeks after. She said it should’ve shown improvement at that point. Any thoughts?

Finding a GENTLE chiropractor is essential. We started out using a woman vet chiro who did adjustments like most human chirps did them. She got pretty good results. Then I switched to a different woman vet chiro who designed her own gentle technique based upon a combination of traditional chiropractic and ORTHOBIONOMY. Her results are nothing short of miraculous and the dogs absolutely love being worked on by her. She follows the manual body work with cold laser therapy and then acupuncture. All of our dogs fall asleep on the table during the acupuncture treatment and then sleep all the way home…a good hour drive. I am grateful that my vet is 15 years younger than me and that all of our dogs are now late middle age or seniors. My vet has trained new vets from our university teaching hospital who are interested.

When it comes to medicine, for humans and animals, I think it’s important not to disregard anything. I think you can do a combination of traditional and non-traditional methods. Of course, I’ve also been feeding my animals raw for over 20 years and many veterinarians find that to be a terrible thing. So I guess opinions vary. I don’t care, I will use whatever helps my animal. And I don’t take nutritional advice from the vet.

I just saw a short where he was doing chiropractic on a giraffe 🫣
My foster cat used to get acupuncture. I'm not sold on it, but I'm not not sold on it either. He was quite sick and seemed to come home and be more active for the next few days and was relaxed during treatment
But at some point, I could just see that the stress of going to the vet regularly outweighed any benefit it was giving him.
(Also, I would think that 73% of people seeking chiropractic would be largely inflated. It would've been a very biased population that the survey reached.)
