Awesome day fishing and to see king salmon which we don't have it in Kiwi-land, great trip and a few beauties were landed, tight lines and thumbs up from faraway land of New Zealand,, tony.
They are a lot of fun to catch. So much that I'm going to take tomorrow off to see if I can find a hungry one! Lots of big ones out of the bay area this year. Wish we got them as big up here in the numbers they get.
Yeah, Carli was thrilled to get a nice hatchery King on deck, the last few for her were wild so it was her time to get a keeper. Thanks for dropping in. Tight lines!
Thanks yeah, a lot of fun to fight as well. Im hoping to find a hstchery one myself but I was really happy to see my wife get one. The last king she caught was a couple years ago on her birthday and it was wild so it had to be released. She finally got a keeper. Thanks for stopping by.
Jerry long time no see bud like the boat. Congrats on getting those Kings. Will be out same area on re-opening. White Raider 240 hope to see you out there.
Yeah, I still need to catch a hatchery summer king. I keep finding the wilds, my eife gets the hatchery fish! 😆 I hope to get out there again soon. Probably will try the derby. Hope to see you on the water. Tight lines!
@@ThePiscatorian360 yeah he is doing well over there. Will certainly pull up and say hello if I see the new boat on the water. Congrats on it by the way.
Really awesome Kings! 👑Sucks that you lost the one but overall that hookup to landing ratio was great! I never knew you couldn't keep the wilds. I don't even know how to identify them but luckily you do. Great video as always, my friend! 😀👍
Yeah, it was a pretty action packed morning. Here in Puget Sound each marine area has different rules, with king salmon you have to release the wild ones. Salmon have an adipose fin on their back in between the dorsal and tail. They clip them off when they are smolts at the hatchery. No fin means hatchery fish. Thanks for dropping by, it's always great to hear from you.
Great job hooking those kings glad you guys had fun on opening day I didn’t went on that weekend but went the following Wednesday and Thursday and got my limit there it was awesome can’t wait for it to open back up. Right now I’m having a blast up in port hardy bc killing the kings and a few coho it’s awesome you need to make this trip since you got a bigger boat
Yeah , that might be something to do in the future for sure. Area 10 action was hot this week thanks for dropping in. Id love to see pictures if your B.C. catch. Thepiscatorian@gmail.com
I am still looking to get out this year as well. I'm off to a late start this year. This video was last year. I luanched out of Pt. Defiance in Tacoma. Right now, area 11 is closed, Area 10 Seattle is open, and you can launch out of ballard at eddie Vine. There's lot of coho and kings out there.
So I have used my 160 sportman on the sound for 8 years. The hull pounds in the wind waves. I'd recommend smooth move suspension seats for it. That would make your body much happier with thats said hewescrafts are awesome boats. A pro v would be a little better ride for you or a 19ft sea runner better than that. The 180 sportman would getnit done on most days but I would go in the middle of the straights in it. Hope that info helps. My friend got an 180 and it rides nicer then my 160.
Yeah it was a fun morning bite. We had a couple we missed one in a turn, couldn't catch up on the slack. Then one when we were snacking! 😆 I seem to always find wild ones too. Tight lines!
@@ThePiscatorian360 that day i went up to riffe Lake at mossyrock and got landlock coho really well around the island to the east on the south side of the lake

I got your email but there was no attachments.
@@ThePiscatorian360 ok when I get home I try again
Hey Jerry I tried again I’m hoping you got them
That mate was on point with the netting of those beasts, I hope you tipped her well. How can you tell if they are wilds?
Yeah, she does good work. Wild fish have there adipose fin intact
Nice keeper. At least it's still fun catching wilds. 👍
Yeah a lot more fun than catching nothing, which happened to me a couple Saturday's back! Thanks for dropping in Brett.
@@ThePiscatorian360 Ouch.
Good job! Went out July 2nd up there and got a 4 man limit! My dad and I also got a 20.4 pounder, 35 inch today. Huge!
Awesome! Yeah I got a solid one yesterday about 33 inches in area 10. Great job on the 20 pounder, you don't see too many of those in the sound.
@@ThePiscatorian360 thanks! No you don’t see those everyday. Good job on the 33 incher, must of been a nice fish.
Yeah, I will get a video of that trip out down the road. I'm a little behind in my editing. Have to get some other videos out.
