Hi just Stumbled upon your channel! Really great content man ! Instantly subscribed! Can i just ask which camera do you use to shoot your footage? Your footage looks good!
Never render the CG in one pass. If you render for example the shadow separate you can match the color of the shadow to the shadows of the other cars that have less green, more blue in them. That (among other things) blend your element into the scene. Other then that, nice that you are offering this to amateur VFX enthousiasts.
Yes, I realise that now - many things I could’ve done differently here that I learned after making the video. I too am still learning! But alas, my future videos will showcase these methods 🥰
@@GimbleProductions you might want to try Nuke for compositing. the learning curve is a bit steep at start but it's so much better for comping CG (then AE). There is a free learning edition available and tons of tutorials. Also if you want to become professsional in the future (doing 3d) it's good to learn nuke. Most of our 3d guys used it to do slam comps to check their work. Good luck!
@@GimbleProductions Excellent! I also have a Sigma 18-35 Art lens, and I have a BMPCC Original. I do love the look of the 6K Pro. Great work, my Friend.
Great tutorial, but im having issues with the camera, when i copy the orientation and position, its not the same that i have on AE. I followed step like step, that you showed and camera is still off. What can i do to track better?
I see - when you say it is off, how do you mean? Does it face the camera in a strange way? Or is the camera sliding around?
Рік тому+1
@@GimbleProductions the camera is facing the wrong way. it doesn't copy the same movement from AE. I recorded a bit, to explain better: ua-cam.com/video/Uerz_eTYz3E/v-deo.html Both from AE and blender
I have a problem when the clip starts, the camera does not follow the car, do you know what the reason is, knowing that I followed your steps step by step
Interesting - you can always ‘copy camera’ from After Effects again and delete your first imported camera Don’t forget to change all of the camera key frames up one frame. Also check the camera lens MM is the same as the one in After Effects
Hello friend I have a problem, when I export, my model looks dark, but in the preview everything is illuminated as I want the result to be. How can I make it look exported with lighting?
Hola.
See if these help 1) Make sure the frame rate of your animation matches the frame rate of the original clip 2) Check if the 3D camera tracker solid that you create does not move as you mention - if the solid layer you create in after effects is moving around funny, you know your actual camera track isn’t the best 3) Use a fast shutter speed for your camera for best tracking results 4) Make sure your blender camera matches the focal length of the 3D camera tracker camera from after effects
@@GimbleProductions tried those tracker is good but i recorded on my iPhone 14 and i put it as 60 fps but it says on the software and on my phone 59.6 and on blender i can only do 59.9
I might suggest changing the recording settings of your phone to be a lower frame rate - perhaps a cinema standard 24FPS would be ideal. This will mean 1) Less render time - less frames will speed up the process 2) Align with After Effects and the frame rate it allows you to use 3) You can always use motion / frame interpolation to make it look higher fps in post anyway
Not that I’m aware of off the top of my head - but given AE2BLEND is just using after effects keyframe data, there may be other alternatives ua-cam.com/video/BlkJ_WWdtkQ/v-deo.htmlsi=F3AXIpX8gwlEewnM This video might help, but I’m not sure how effective it will be. The plug-in is relatively cheap, roughly $10, though you might be able to find someone uploading it free somewhere 🏴☠️
Hello friend, you will need to install it into Blender. AE2BLEND should have a .py file if you have downloaded it. Inside the add on menu in Blender, you can click install and locate the file 🤓 Let me know if that helps
@@GimbleProductions i found filles inside the add on fille but i dont know py fille or how to instal it i just know how to instale normal addon like blender kit
@@achrafebenzima7352 sorry for the late response, I believe you can install it as a .zip file! So you do not need to uncompress the plug-in, you can install the .zip file using the install button on the add on page. That will install the program for you. Please let me know if that works!
You might be lucky to find it on google, though it is a paid plugin - think of all the possibilities you could have after you purchase, it is about the same price of buying some lunch!
I just imported new wheels - I showed how to import models already using the sketchfab importer, so it is a very similar process. If you are stuck with the wheels not rotating in place, select the wheel, and then choose object > set origin > origin to geometry. That should sort any issues
Hello, my friend, I have a request, and I hope you will not disappoint me. I want to communicate with you through any application and send you a video showing the problem he has with tracking the camera. I hope you do not reply to me. Thank you very much.

I suppose you could always use the Blender tracker for this, I just prefer the AE2BLEND method as it is much more reliable. Either way will work!

how to do increase the shadow strength?
Try playing with the scale settings of the HDR environment texture coordinate node
render the shadow as a separate pass
