Poor Travis! First he was Batman - now Ant Man. I vote to see him as Wonder Women next! HA! Agreed about some of the people complaining about the first releasee of this thing. I have shot 4 chronographs square in the face in the last two years! Now that I will be using the FX Chrono that sits UNDER the muzzle vs. in front of the muzzle, this thing will pay for itself in just a few months as I for sure would shoot 2 more this year. App updates will come, but I LOVE mine so far!
absolutely love the idea of not being limited by aiming through a manufactured zone down range to get my readings, completely eliminates the apprehension of hitting some portion of the chroney. Just wish it had the higher speed capabilities so it could transition to firearms too, and the saving the data for easily side by side data retrieval and comparison seems like a must have! Still with that said, I'm still gonna have to add it to my wish list for when I'm rich! It will be my second purchase, my first being the new impact .25 700mm mk2!
I understand exactly what you're saying. I think this is a nice little tool for airgunners but it doesn't work for the rest of us. As much as I hate having to set up a chronograph to get the readings that I want... It has to be done... I'm 50 years old...so I'm kind of stuck in my mindset about how things should be done...and I absolutely hate anything that has to do with cell phone.. smartphone or anything that requires an app to work. And I really don't see how this how to graph gets an actual reading... Behind the muzzle. The first thing that I learned in using a chronograph was to at least put it 30 ft away from the muzzle... That way I got less of the gases escaping the end of the muzzle to get a proper reading. it is a pain in the ass and it helps to have someone help you get it set up...it hasn't happened to me but it happened to my best friend... He clipped his chronograph. Lol! Luckily Caldwell make some pretty tough stuff.
I only chronograph my guns when I think there is a problem and when a new gun is broke in and ready for a chrony reading. So not very often. Sticking with my old Chrony setup that never fails me but this new FX gadget looking interesting. I would buy that T shirt.
I like it, I have never shot a chronograph myself but have seen many that were, looks like this would take that risk away from those that tend to shoot theirs. I do like it and may get one, but I have three chronographs already including a small infrared so I will need to justify it somehow! Wait I could just go shoot the ones I have so that I need it! I like it ;^) Did I mention I like it!
How convenient.. It was not a long time ago that I told someone else hat I would not bother to buy myself a chronograph just to see how hard my Sig MCX co2 rifle shoots nowadays.😂 Sig usually tend to commercially rate their fps numbers a bit high with *obscure mentions of *select ammunition and *shooting altitudes..😁 This FX chrono seemed nice. Wonder what the price of this one would be in the FX neighbor country..
I miss Y'all! I preferred these video's over the current situation in 2022. You all had it right and Now YOU DON'T. Bring back to the guys that create yawls paychecks...the humor, mess, whatever you all call it...this is what we want. We miss this format, and type of video's..y'all messed up. Sooner or later you all may or may not figure this out...till then...lots of us are out. God bless.
I had nothing but problems with mine, UNTIL I taped it to the barrel with duct tape. It is VERY sensitive to placement and alignment. Directions say do not let it touch the barrel, but that is the only way I could get mine to work.
Too bad you can't use R Lee Ermey ( drill sergeant ) unless there's a voice records somewhere that you can do that or Giles or Matt would be good oh and don't forget about the other languages that are around the world to
We haven't tried that yet, but we think it would work. At the moment, you would need a phone for each of the chronographs, but FX may update the app so one phone could run both and calculate the BC for you.
Thank you for the most wonderful explanation, your follower from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continue and I hope that there will be an explanation about the speeds of bullets 21H&NQurin on fx Crown, what is the 😊appropriate speed
Thanks for the vidoe...Too funny! But come on if you're going to pick a voice it's got to be Jacque! By the way Have you been able to figure out how to delete saved shot strings on Android?
You need one in the U.K., as it’s law, for your air gun, not to be over 12ft/lb or you need a FAC. My new Daystate Huntsman Regal HR comes in at 11.8 ft/lb happy chappy
100% need Giles doing the voice. Nice touch would be if you get a vel deviation of more than say 20 fps, you hear Giles snicker and say "Whaaaat!" or something to that effect.
If the unit is light enough why not simply make an adjustable strap-on/velcro setup for your particular barrel/suppressor? That should make field use a breeze. Just sayin'...
My FX chrono will not turn on. So, I suppose that I must first insert 3 AAA batteries. In order to insert the batteries, do the 4 screws need to be removed (one in each corner)?
@@airgundepot Thanks so much for letting me know. This screw is extremely tight but I was finally able to remove it. Thanks again. Keep up the great videos, I'm learning a lot.
It seems like a nice little Gadget but I've heard some bad things about it being very finicky and not reading right and I have two questions does the app for your phone come with it is it free ??

It has a Doppler radar, but the range is very limited. I'm fed up with this piece of crap. Works great on something .60 cal or bigger but .25 cal pellets not so good, three shots and it quits reading. Pisses me off! And I wouldn't rely on the reading to be right either, this one was under reading by more than the 2% you can correct for. Disappointed to say the least.
