Went out of Sebastian several years ago for tuna. Got a ton of bonito next to shrimp boats but no tuna unfortunately. Loved Captain Hiram's (restaurant) food though, worth checking out the next time you are in Sebastian.
@@reaperfishingnj8623it was a small town for a long time. not so much anymore. its starting to grow here. i try to hide my fishing spots but everywhere is known. all good though
I surfed it way back in college. Even got to see Slater himself go out and rip in person. I only once surfed First Peak (it was heavily guarded by the locals back then) in the midst of an insane mullet run. Acres of mullet were pinned up against the jetty. Only my friend and I were dumb enough to go surf so we had First Peak all to ourselves. Got a few waves before the tons of sharks around us could grab a hold!! To be young and dumb again!!! Unfortunately they re-did the Jetty and the refraction that made the wave so special is gone.
Another awesome video! I would be paranoid running a boat in a rough inlet wedged between the other boats and the mania on the Jetty. That captain was a BOSS!
I have family in vero I love fishing there saw a 30lb jack caught on light gear from pier if you get a chance snorkel the rocks around the inlet a lot of different fish there
@@reaperfishingnj8623 we used to call them Soapfish. gotta clean them the same day and eat within a day or 2 or youd know why thats why they were called that. but, Best fish from the river to eat besides flounder in my opinion

It’s snook season
This was early to Mid January before it opened.
I’ve never seen so many snook spit the bait? Ever. I’ve never had it happen to me at inlet.
Did you surf slaters wave ?
