Taylor Park is gorgeous. We’ve been going out there from Western Kansas for 10 years to ride RZRs but we’ve rode some of it several times and it’s just gotten stagnant. We are buying a Jeep this fall to build up this winter for the mountains. So much easier to drive a Jeep to trails outside of TP than trailering RZRs. So much more of Colorado we want to see and explore but Taylor will be visited again but in the Jeep which in itself will make it different. Fantastic work making these videos!!!! I enjoy your channel. Maybe we’ll meet up on the trails one day. God bless and stay safe
I've been on that trail twice and for a relatively easy trail it is much rougher than the average Colorado trail. I haven't seen Mirror Lake that full though, driving through that water looked crazy.
Looks like going left or right of it was an option with flexing part of the suspension into the mud while the other half stayed on the high and dry path. 🤷🏼♂️
brunnie: Agree...I wouldn't even try that hole -- why? I already know my Jeep can handle it (if it had to) so I have no interest in engaging those kinds of obstacles. Also good luck getting that mud cleaned-out from the underside...you won't ever get it all. At mark 10:29 they go through deep water -- that will probably wash most of the mud away -- but I'd not even want to do that deep water, either (even though my Jeep can ford water also). ;-) So this trail might be a bit beyond what I like to do off-road: Just enjoy the outdoors at a slow & leisurely pace with nothing to complicate that. I'll stick to the easy ones, like fire service roads and low-moderate rated trails. -- BR
Man, how do you know and trust you aren't going to plunge in the deep end whend doing that? Or do you just know that usually there is a road there and the lake is just over full right now? Looks awesome, but I'd probably have turned around.
Do they clear this trail? I was there in June and started at st elmo and it was very very rough. Lots of large rocks basically covering the trail compared to what i see in your video. Hit bottom a couple times and got hung up on front diff once. Had to turn around due to snow and then had to drive all over the super rough stuff again.
The conditions there change all the time. You can run it twice in the same season and one time it will feel smooth and the next time you think you are destroying your internal organs.
@@gourikk7721 Sort of. We are using the stock Dana 44 axles but we have Yukon gears front and rear, Yukon Chromolly Axle shafts in the read, and RCVs (with FAD delete) in the front. The the only thing still stock about the axles is the housing and the lockers.
@TrailTraveler cool ty...that will be the first trail we do next August. Driving from nc to do a few trails like kingston and then head to wy to see family
Mirror lake is my favorite place !! My ashes will be spread there!!
Love it.
Looks like you were there before the guys at CORE replaced the markers
noticed the same thing!

Katarina did great!
that water crossing was fantastic!
Nice video - makes me even more sad I am not running it this weekend.

Idk about that Mirror Lake. I’m a little gun shy after replacing a motor this spring in the Ozarks
To the hip hip hop-a you don't stop the rock!
I have done Tin Cup Pass in a 4Runner. The side by sides have chewed up that trail pretty badly.
Don’t stop
We just passed through Colorado. Have you been on Colorado River Road? Completely unexpected gem!!
Not yet, it's on the list
@@TrailTravelereasy road, awesome scenery. We were headed to Dotsero crater after seeing your video. Heavy rains made a slick climb
Typically by the middle of August Mirror Lake is lower than that. Maybe you did this trail earlier this summer?
This was only a few weeks ago.
You didn’t stop and get some pie in Tincup?
Kerry, just curious what rock sliders those are? Thanks

I hope there is some sort of bypass for that mud hole, otherwise it is just going to be impossible for a lot of vehicles.
I think it has already been fixed since we were there
@@TrailTraveler I think you are probably correct and I hope that it is fixed for the long term, not just a short term.

@brunnie it was dryer but still big holes on Tues 8/13
I could never drive on water like that

We know the road is there and we knew how deep it was a few days prior.
Did you get any water inside on the floorboards?
@@stevedickerson5447 No. With a 3.5" lift and 38" tires, we stayed just barely above the water level.

@@TrailTraveler Thats weird. So they dont clear it? I honestly don't see how all the rocks i had to drive over would be moved naturally
I guess this was before the new tires
It was the last run on the old tires
@@TrailTraveler are you on stock axels ?

@@TrailTraveler copy. thx
Is the lake usually that high? Looked about 24 inches
It was over our 38” tires in one spot. Usually the road is dry there. I believe it’s only a few inches right now

That trail is ok but Mt. Antero and Tomichi pass are some of the best in the state and in my opinion also beat anything in the San Juans.
Those are on our list as well
@@TrailTraveler Awesome. Can't wait to see the videos.
The mud holes are huge now 6ft deep the will swallow a jeep. People are.going off trail now
