how the mighty have fallen.... Sam's been a great player and deserves all the respect in the world. But seriously, this is where NZ rugby is at. Well it was great while it lasted.

The only reason he's not still in the Abs is cause he went to France for money. He's still good enough to make any international team so why not.

@@timgregory82 You think he'd make the Boks, French of Irish sides? No chance. The rest are below us so hardly an endorsement IF he'd make any one the sides just below.
He had a fantastic international career, but it's a glaring inditement of our depth, especially in the tight five, that a man of his years is even being considered.

Stinging indictment of Kiwi rugby if they require Whitelock to come back. Youd think they would have developed someone to take over -- especially since Whitelock can't hack the level of comp in France.

I believe you have won three world cups and one TMO gift.

@@00000ag That World Cup final was the most controversial final ever.
We don’t want see another final like that. The TMO is destroying our game.
Too many players are getting red cards for tackle height. The game needs 20 minute red card for tackle height.

Lol so funny to see NZ going through what us Saffas went through for decades. We have had mass, big name exodus' that left our super rugby teams rebuilding basically half a squad a season. Our poor old rand could not compete, just like NZ having to allow longer and longer sabbaticals now - "pay super players enough" ,lol you cannot compete with French and Japanese salaries, and its not just that, its the experience of traveling and experience for the individual.
Quicker NZ, like SA had to, realise the game is global and you need to pick your best no matter where they play, the quicker they will find themselves dominant again. We went through all this, learn from us. If this panel was not so small minded and isolationist they would have realized this but, just like JK's glasses, they are too thick..

100% correct. Razor was spot on with selecting the best NZ players available regardless of what competition they play. Super Rugby is a junk competition played in front of empty stands.
