We’ll miss you so much SOPHIE, the smiles this song has brought me over the years is something I’m so grateful for. Always the song I play when I need to jump around and cheer up after all these years. Thank you.
RIP Sophie. This is the song that made me discover PC music and fall in love with it. I'm so thankful for your amazing and extraordinary influence in music and in my life. You'll be missed so much.
The most daring choice in this whole song might be the complete absence of reverb on the vocals while the instrumentation is lowered in the mix in the verses. It makes it feel almost uncomfortably intimate in the little quiet spot right after she sings, "I've been thinking 'bout you quite a lot". I feel guilty for not even knowing who she is - which, knowing the late, great SOPHIE, was completely intentional. Rest In Peace.
@@IZABELAqqqqq I think it was a limited sale. I think the way the song is trying too hard to be cute, the fact that there are so many artists behind the song that it almost feels like a corporation made the song, and the performance where QT read a magazine for 5 minutes before lipsyncing make me feel like they're trying to give us a soulless vibe. Like when I first listened to the song I thought it was cute and silly but when I learned more about it now it feels almost creepy, like it's trying to hypnotize me. Surprisingly dark undertone in this music, it seems to reflect the corporatization of music and entertainment and does so with an extremely sarcastic wit. How it began to turn into a fake commercial for some soft drink was a pretty amazing post-modern twist, kind of bringing to light the inverted mechanisms of our purely for profit capitalist system, in that the only reason an emotion would even be expressed would be to connect it to a product, as in, the product is the reason for the song, her emotions towards the "qt", etc are the biproduct of needing to sell a soft drink, not the other way around. And this song just gives it to you as if admitting once and for all, we are lost, you have us, we are enslaved.
I think it's supposed to be soulless. the performance qt did was performed soullessly and I wouldn't put it past pc music to do that intentionally. but I honestly don't know. I just think they know what they are doing.

And then to bring the message full swing you realize that she is selling a product. "drink qt" so all her efforts to get your attention where a marketing ploy for a soft drink. just the fact that they did this song and that the drink was available for a really short amount of time makes me feel like, yeah, pretty much they would do a social commentary in a soda commercial
I read a story about a young girl in Soviet Russia who was abducted by the Nazis. They performed horrific operations, draining her spinal and cerebral fluids and keeping the resultant purple liquid in specially marked cans. Other operations were performed on her vocal cords, giving her the voice of a five year old. She escaped along with two other people, two males you see in the music video, having somehow developed a rudimentary type of teleportation whereby her cells vibrated on a different frequency to particular solid objects, allowing the three to walk through walls, in theory. It seems this was the result of a hyperawareness brought about by the barbaric experiments. QT, or Quantum Tunnelling, is an unusual phenomena, but scientifically possible given the right conditions. The three were never found, although I believe they were captured by the CIA and trapped in bright white rooms and pink PVC chambers to perform vapid pop music in the 1970's that was to be released in the spring of 2016.
