Thanks so much for the close up, I accidentally broke mine and your close up of the inner mechanisms helped me put it back together in no time! Cheers!
My scale dail indicator or needle doesn't move at all if I stand on the scale , it could be that the dail needle came loose from the gear that turns it or it could be something else ... But great video now I know what to except if I open mine up .If can't fix it then I will just buy myself a new one
I just found a GOOD LOOKING SCALE that needs the very same treatment.... coincidence? SALTER 916W looks in great condition... no dust or rust - but does not go to ZERO... I took it apart... all the parts went flying in all directions... lol
I thought this video was fabulous. I would've *CHUCKED* in the garbage can. But now, I would try to *fix* a broken divice, just for the challenge. Thx Pete! -Mike
Thanks Mike, I like fixing things, I had loads of stuff I fix on this channel but now try to keep to hawking, I kept this because for some reason it’s my best viewing video, I find that strange, I guess there’s a need to fix these things. Thanks for having a look.
I learned something new today about the mechanical functions of a scale! That's a very easy fix! Even I can do that easily!
This video seems very popular Jeremy, I left it on this channel for this reason. glad you watched it.

Brilliant, glad it helped 👍👌
Nice one Pete, you can fix anything, thanks for fixing my chainsaw also. keep them coming.
I hope you made Lin watch it she would find the inner workings of a set of scales very riveting. 🤪

I bet it’s the needle loose on the shaft, no half in looking.👍
Thanks so much., A great video.
Glad you enjoyed it! thank you for saying.

Thanks dude
No problem
I bet I watched 10 of these bathroom scale videos and not one has a clear close-up of how to connect that little 2 pronged widget. Thank you
I hope it helped in some way👍
Did to manage to make them weigh less ...... 😁 well done Pete
I had heavy socks on.
How long did it take to reattach the springs? That looks like it might be a real tough nut to crack.
couple of minutes with pointed nose pliers. not to bad.👍
You always wanted something that would accelerate to 100 faster than a Ferrari......
thanks mate I think this may be a late reply
How to calibrate Analog Weight scale ?
thanks for watching.
The little peg/arm snapped off on mine. It’s only made of plastic 🤦🏻♂️
Plastic one oh dear, more modern a guess the old ones may be better using metal. Like most things with age.
How to calibrate?
not sure.
There telling you lies
Just what I thought
ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10......
cheers
