I know this isn’t the topic of this vid, but since it’s the latest one, just putting this here if anyone has any advice. I’ve been raw vegan for over 6 months now. No cheating, real deal. I am not at all new to a healthy lifestyle in general-prior to these last 6 months I was eating mostly whole foods, organic ingredients, using green powders, doing green or cacao smoothies, exercise, been doing periods of fasting and colon cleansing for many years. Have done some rounds of parasite cleansing in past years as well, never have had a dramatic reaction so I feel must be relatively ok in that department as well. Never ever any drugs, alcohol, etc, happy mental life and relationships as well. Also, few months ago I added the more live food angle of activated/ fermented seed/nut yogurts a la Lou Corona and Dan MacDonald as bases for salad dressings or sometimes adding to smoothies. Well, recently I am craving some meat and eggs big time. I feel like even with this abundance of life force energy in this beautiful diet and lifestyle I have (and am so grateful for), I am still missing something. These last few months on 100% raw vegan, also when I exercise, my muscles feel weak and there is a vague sense that “something is not there.” I get protein from Markus Rothkranz green protein powder, seaweed, hemp, the nut and seed yogurts mentioned above (mainly sunflower and pumpkin), other greens, but all this still seems too “carby and starchy” to my palette. All of this is still mildly “sweet” to me (I don’t have a big sweet tooth, so take that term lightly-and I don’t do the “vegan cheat” desserts). I feel like I am missing the substantial, more grounded, more earthy energy of meat and eggs. That’s the best way I can poetically describe it! I’m wondering if it’s so bad if I continued all this great live and raw plant foods stuff, but just sometimes had a grass-fed, small farm, grilled organic steak, or lamb, or some eggs cooked in healthy coconut oil or boiled in water etc. Please bear in mind I’m only talking nutrient-wise, I am morally fine with animals on small farms being killed ethically for food. I never had a sweet tooth in the past-makes me wonder if some people are more designed for high carbohydrate diet, and they just find a healthier version of carbohydrate diet when they do 100% raw vegan. Anyone who has read this far, thanks for reading, and any insights are appreciated. Thank you so much and all the best in 2021!
